Why Women should NEVER give a Man money?

It’s never a good practice and a bad habit to start. The transfer of money in relationships often complicate things, especially when the intent women have for the men they love often backfire. Some women will sacrifice their financial security by trying to buy a man’s love. That never work because men are socialized to provide and protect. But if a woman is treating him like a child then he will not gain financial responsibility to empower himself. Men who may accept money from women secretly resent or disrespects the woman that can give him money. This type of man will prefer to spend his life with a woman who made him believe he can overcome his financial obstacles, no matter how long it takes. Provided she’s willing to wait.

So what’s the difference between giving your husband money vs. a boyfriend? one of my readers asks. There’s a major difference, couples who are not married should not co-mingle their finances without the benefits of a contract. Whereas a married couple is building a financial foundation together: for better or worse. When dating, give that man emotional support; which can be far more valued than that of a dollar. Amen!! Amen!!!

As this weeks show fall on Valentine’s Day, during Black History Month, it seems appropriate to take a look at African American couples that have been trailblazers in their own way, making an impact on American history.? There have been couples throughout history that have treaded the path of love and respect for decades. Others have only just begun, in comparison. Some couples began to tread the path individually, then met the love of their life and began blazing the trails together as a team.

There are notable couples in Black history. And regardless to where, when and how their paths were blazed into history, they displayed love, dedication and passion for their partners and the world around them.

The Origination of Black History Month on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Black History Month often sparks an annual debate about the continued usefulness and fairness of a designated month dedicated to the history of one race. Criticisms include questions over whether it is appropriate to confine the celebration of Black History to one month, as opposed to integration of Black history into the mainstream education the rest of the year. The manner in which American schools fail to represent Black historical figures as anything other than slaves or colonial subjects, by which Black History Month reduces complex historical figures to overly simplified objects of hero worship. When the success of a people is just as poignant as their struggle and sacrifice.

But should Black History be relegated to just one month? How did it all begin?

On “Conversation Of A Sistah!

Many are outraged over President Trumps comments regarding immigration and his recent remarks about Haiti and African nations. They feel disrespected and downright insulted, so one conclusion is they’ve chosen to turn off his state of the union address tonight. Some democrats choose not to attend because of the President’s racist rhetoric and blatant disregard for people of color. This is their way of saying “enough is enough!!”

Some people don’t care to hear what this president has to say because he further adds insult to injury with his ignorant remarks and egregious policies.

We’re Talking – “The Woman’s March” and Comedian Mo’Nique on Tonight “Conversations Of A Sistah”

We’re back and tonight’s conversation is all about The Woman’s March and Comedian Mo’Nique.

People across the nation marked the anniversary of the historic Women’s March on Washington this past weekend. But for some women, the anniversary is another reminder of the shortcomings of the 2017 Women’s March. Last year critics made it painfully clear how the march centered on white women at the expense of women of color and trans women. Groups who many felt had more to lose under a new administration than any other human rights issues. But some underrepresented women felt their issues — such as racism, discrimination, police brutality, LGBT inclusivity, and immigration — were relegated in favor of issues that matter most to straight, white, middle-class women. We have to decide: Do we want equality and justice for a select group, or do we want it for everyone?

And my crew and I saw comedian legend Mo’Nique at Levity Live last Friday night, where she talked about her road to success and her boycott with Netflix. Our host is back and the Conversation is hot!!!
