“Jesus is NOT the reason for the season” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

009d6a_9df8225c18e3418382e11b63f232477dWe grew up believing in Santa Clause, the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny, thinking all of these fictional characters were tied to our religious beliefs.

Some of us grew up being a part of the Christmas programs in our churches and in school, having these same beliefs reiterated and instilled in us by the Christmas programs we see on television and in movies. The programming was instilled to influence the masses and Christmas has become one of the biggest commercialized holidays of our time.

How did Jesus become a figure into all of this? When there is no documented facts that He was even born on December 25, Christmas day.

Join me tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST as I’m airing “LIVE” on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via Blog Talk Radio for my commentary Jesus IS NOT the reason for the season“. Tune in to find out the facts.

Immigrants, Racism and Pandemonium!! Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

cwyumnbveaaui_aDonald Trump’s election as US President is showing signs of and producing an outpouring of race and hate in America, which mirrors and reflect the language he’s spoken in the past 18 months.

Trump supporters are expressing their hatred in live time, twitter and on social media outlets, telling immigrants they think are illegals to “pack your bags” and “get the fuck out.”

And because Donald Trump has failed to denounce the Ku Klux Klan in late February, he claims to be “the least racist person you have ever met,” and “not having a racist bone in his body.” Despite his denouncement he’s given us alot of reason to believe otherwise. Especially since he’s won the praise of this country’s strongest white supremacist.

Since the Trump win, hate crimes, harassment and killings have been at an all-time high. Immigrants across the country and throughout different states, are scared to death of being targeted or deported.

This in the wake of an Ohio State University student who carried out a knife attack on campus Monday who said in a Facebook post how he was “sick and tired” of seeing fellow Muslims “killed and tortured,” according to federal law enforcement officials.

Americans fear the actions of this one man, who’s been elected to the highest office in the land. And since his win as the next US president, there’s been nothing but hatred, race relation matters and pandemonium.

Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via blog talk radio for my monologue on this topic.

I will be taking your calls in the studio on this subject at 1-917-889-7872, just press “1” to speak to the host.

“Racism and this 2016 Election” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

untitledFears of heightened bigotry and hate crimes have turned into reality for some Americans after Donald Trump’s presidential win on Tuesday November 8th. And the list of incidents keeps growing.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, they’ve counted more than 300 cases of hateful harassment or intimidation in the U.S. since Election Day. “They’ve been everywhere — in schools, in places of business, in stores like Walmart and on the street,” SPLC President Richard Cohen said Monday.

While Trump has been accused of fostering xenophobia, hate, racism and Islamophobia, some people have used his words as justification to carry out hateful crimes. In recent days we have witnessed ugly episodes of racist or anti-Semitic pro-Trump graffiti along with threats or attacks against Muslims.

To Vote or NOT to Vote w/Dr. Malik Shabazz on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

donald-trump-hillary-clinton-550x317Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are in a dead heat with just six days left until a major general election, according to a new poll. The candidates are tied, each with 46% of the likely voters, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post, released Wednesday. Yet neither candidate are discussing real issues, instead they are on the attack criticizing each other; Clinton on Trumps disregard for women and Trump regarding Clinton’s emails and Bill’s indiscretions. The attacks are on each others characters, while some voters are reluctant in casting their vote for either candidate…deciding instead NOT TO VOTE AT ALL !!

All this and other issues – such as Clinton’s use of a private email system in defiance of government rules while she was secretary of state, and Trump’s obsession with responding to slights and criticism – have caused the character of both Clinton and Trump to be called into question day after day.

So in the midst of this public circus, with most American voters turned off by both candidates not focusing on real issues, the question most Americans are struggling with is; “To Vote or NOT to Vote?”

We’ll explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

attachIs Justifiable Homicide the Modern Day “Casual Killing Of Slaves”?

When you think about Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, Philandro Decastro, Terrance Crutcher, Alton Sterling, Keith Lamont, Sandra Bland, Yvette Smith and so many other black men and women who were unjustifiably murdered under the guise of “justifiable homicide” by police, the numbers are alarming.

Unfortunately, not a year goes by without a news report of some young man or woman dying at the hands of police (or someone who acts as if they are the police). Usually, these cases are polarized by the factor of race.

Join me tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” with my special guest, community activist and New Era leader Keith Horton” (pictured left above), as we explore the “Casual Killing Act of blacks” then and now.
