Legendary actress Ruby Dee has died at age 91, a family member confirmed Thursday.
The Grammy-award winning actress is best known for her stage and screen work in films such as “A Raisin in the Sun” (1961), Spike Lee’s “Do the Right Thing” (1989), and the 1979 TV movie “Roots: The Next Generation”.
She was married to actor Ossie Davis until his death in 2005.
Ruby Dee died peacefully at home of natural causes.
A woman should never play all of her cards in one hand by loving a man MORE than he loves her. If it’s the man who shall “findeth a wife” and she’s supposed to be his good thing, then why are some woman so desperately pulling out all of her stocks with public displays of adoration?
Like for example, Singer Ciara who is totally head over heels in Love with her baby daddy, rapper, Future Hendrix. The pair recently got engaged and Ciara took to her Instagram account yesterday to express just how much she Loves her man.
However, Future (the love of Ciara’s life), has 5 or 6 babies by 3 or 4 other women. This busy rapper doesn’t seem to be as infatuated with Ciara as she is with him. Body language is everything. And Future looks like he’s already feeling the pressure of remaining faithful to just one woman.
When a woman is more into a man, than he is into her, he will no doubt hurt her in the end.
Blah, blah, blah!
This whole story is turning into a big circus of “she said-she said” and it’s becoming a bit petty and un-necessary.
Since TLC came out with their VH1 biopic “CrazySexyCool” their former manager, Perri “Pebbles” Reid have been making her rounds and telling her side of the story while defending her character and reputation against the way she has been portrayed in the movie.
“Pebbles” joined Huffington Post Live Wednesday, then the Wendy Williams show to tell her side of the story in the making of the iconic ’90s girl group TLC.
However in my opinion, Pebbles made it sound as if, if it weren’t for her; TLC wouldn’t even have the air they currently breathe.
This story has not only become messy and riddled with past hurt and emotions but Pebbles daughter has even joined the circus going as far as threatening TLC group member, Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas in defense of her mother.
Since the release of VH1’s biopic on TLC, “CrazySexyCool” in October, there’s been much debate over the accuracy of the film, and in particular, how it portrays Pebbles. Pebbles maintains that they’ve (TLC & VH1) defamed her character. Without providing much detail, a lot of which Pebbles states: are due to legal ramifications.
If this is the case, then why make your rounds on the media circuit giving bits and pieces of your cryptic details Pebbles? If TLC and VH1 are lying on you, then the TRUTH needs NO defense.
Among the numerous “lies” Pebbles addressed, is one that has been on the entertainment gossip circuit for years and that is, she “absolutely” believes Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas slept with her husband, record executive L.A. Reid.
While conceding that she refused to believe it “for years” because she loved her husband, she told host Marc Lamont Hill, “I have my reasons [now] to say absolutely… I just know it. It happened… I saw some stuff, it goes deeper than that.”
How deep? Of course she couldn’t or wouldn’t reveal.

Comedian Niecy Nash revealed a secret to keeping your man happy in the latest issue of JET magazine, on stands now.
Nash, who is on her second husband, tied the knot with electrical engineer Jay Tucker on May 28, eight months after their engagement. Together the couple raise Nash’s 3 children from her 13-year marriage to Don Nash, a self-ordained minister.
Nash says the surefire way to keep your man from straying is:
“If you keep his stomach full and his penis empty – you won’t have a problem”
Really? In my opinion, her advice holds no substance, there should be far more emotional and physical stability in a marriage than what she’s stating. I find Niecy’s so-called advice invalid and superficial.
How about a man not straying because he honors his vows and respect the sanctity of his union. What about a man not straying due to the love, respect and loyalty for his spouse.
Her view and mentality is not only worldly but unfortunate.
A copy of a police report obtained by gossip website TMZ.com reveals former Kris Kross rapper Chris Kelly may have overdosed on a combination of cocaine and heroine.
The police report states that Kelly, 34, may have ingested a cocaine and heroine substance known as a “speedball,” the night before he died.

According to the report, Kelly’s mother, Donna Kelly Pratt, was the one who called 911 and told police about her son’s drug use. She allegedly told investigators that Kelly had an “extensive history of drug use,” and she had taken him home to recover before he passed out.
Kelly’s mother said in a statement:
“It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Chris Kelly has passed away on May 1. To millions of fans worldwide, he was the trendsetting, backwards pants-wearing one-half of Kris Kross who loved making music. But to us, he was just Chris — the kind, generous and fun-loving life of the party. Though he was only with us a short time, we feel blessed to have been able to share some incredible moments with him. His legacy will live on through his music, and we will forever love him.”
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office conducted an autopsy on Kelly today to determine the exact cause of death.
