Murder

Army veteran, 29, ‘used a butter knife, his TEETH and his bare hands to decapitate his mother after a fight over credit cards’

An Army veteran from Mississippi (pictured left),  has been charged with murder.

Terrelle Johnson, 29, is accused of brutally murdering and beheading his mother Sherry Johnson (pictured right), a 51-year-old high school guidance counselor and dumping her head and body in their backyard, where her remains were discovered on June 6.

Stone County Sheriff’s Capt. Ray Boggs said Terrelle had been telling his aunts and uncles, who were concerned for Sherry’s well-being after not hearing from her for several days, that she had gone one a cruise.

Deputies who were asked to check on Sherry found her mutilated body outside her home near Wiggins on June 6.

Stone County Coroner Wayne Flurry says the remains had been there several days.

Sherry had worked at Hattiesburg High School as a counselor since 2014.

During Wednesday’s court hearing, Capt Boggs described how he arrived at a brick home on Johnson Road in Stone County, Mississippi to perform the welfare check and found Terrelle sitting on the front porch, reported The Sun Herald.

When asked about his mother’s whereabouts, the 29-year-old reportedly said that she had gone somewhere with a friend, but Boggs asked if he could take a look inside the residence.

‘When I entered the bedroom, I immediately noticed blood everywhere,’ Boggs told the court.

He said there was blood spatter on the bed, the floor and even the walls, but there was no sign of Sherry.

Boggs then went into the backyard and came upon the woman’s headless body. Her head was located 15 feet away.

During a videotaped interview with investigators, Terrelle reportedly confessed to killing his mother during a heated argument over credit cards, which he said got out of hand.

The son told officials that he beat up the 51-year-old woman, choked her until she stopped breathing, then sawed off her head using a butter knife then used his bare hands and teeth to rip off her head.

The 29-year-old explained that he disposed of the remains outside so the house would not smell bad.

Johnson appeared at yesterday’s hearing dressed in an orange jumpsuit. He sat with his head down and did not speak during the proceedings, but on his way inside the courthouse he yelled out, ‘I done it’ and ‘I plead guilty.’

Police, Police Shooting

Cop who shot teenager in the back as he fled during traffic stop was sworn in hours earlier

A rookie East Pittsburgh cop who shot a fleeing teenager in the back during a traffic stop was sworn into duty on the police force a few hours earlier.

17-year-old Antwon Rose was killed by a rookie officer who responded to a shots fired call in North Braddock.

Police observed a car speeding from the scene with what appeared to be bullet holes in the rear window.

A traffic stop was made and police detained the driver. Two passengers, including Rose, jumped from the car and fled.

The cop opened fire and Rose was struck multiple times in the back. A witness recorded the shooting with her cell phone.

Police recovered 2 firearms from the car, but Rose was unarmed.

The unidentified cop has been placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation.

Protestors marched in an impromptu rally outside the East Pittsburgh Police station on Wednesday. Demonstrators called for the officer to be fired.

Rose is the latest in a string of students from Woodland Hills to be shot.

School officials and teachers spoke highly of the teen.

Border Separation has chilling historical echoes of slavery… Tonight on ‘Conversation Of A Sistah’

The Trump administration decided to work around the time restriction imposed by courts, by no longer treating families as units at these borders. Therefore parents are detained and children are “put into foster care or wherever,” in the infamously blasé words of White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. Now images of these children sleeping on mats placed on the floor inside of a cage is heart breaking when shown around the country.

As with much of the administration’s actions, it’s difficult to parse how much of this policy is a new moral low for the country and how much of it builds on historical precedent.

As is generally the case, the answer is both.

Forced separation of families was, of course, central to the American regime of slavery. In a system that allowed for hereditary enslavement, children were transformed into property at birth.

As the system of human trafficking grew over the early 19th century, children were regularly sold away from their families for both economic and punitive reasons. Supporters of slavery dismissed moral arguments against this separation, asserting that black people lacked the emotional capacity to truly feel the pain of losing a child or parent.

This historical fact seems to be repeated as we see the Trump administration’s policies regarding immigrants and the U.S. border.

Newsflash….Thee exact same Reason Women don’t marry!

I saw this post by Keishorne Scott the other day on IG, as to why men don’t marry?

You are all familiar with Scott who has been a featured guest on “Conversations Of A Sistah“. Well I must take the relationship guru to task and beg to differ a bit because you have some single women who feel the exact same way. In that there is nothing in marrying for them accept to become a man’s house servant, baby maker, porn star and/or waitress.

So what exactly does marriage offer women today? Because I know some women who have lost themselves after they marry, let alone their freedom.

So……the exact can be said about why some women choose to remain single.

The women of today are educated, independent and accomplished and cautious about who they settle with as a mate. Some women are unmarried because there are several factors that come into play concerning what they would have to give up for taking on a partner in holy matrimony. The more women accomplish, the less likely they are inclined to settle for someone who could potentially ruin all they’ve built and acquired financially.

Women are just as cautious concerning entering into a legal contract with someone who could potentially slaughter all that they’ve worked hard for and gained.

Women aren’t wimping out either, they are being just as smart as men when it comes down to entering into the legal contract of marriage, especially since both sexes can have a hidden agenda.

Target Apologizes for “Baby Daddy” Father’s Day Cards

Was it really the thought behind the Afrocentric-themed “Baby Daddy” Father’s Day cards that counted? Not everyone appreciated the creative line of cards that celebrated unmarried Black fathers and deadbeat dads who abandon their baby mamas for father’s day.

The term “Baby daddy” was popularized in the hit song “My Baby Daddy” by one-hit-wonders B-Rock and the Bizz.

Target pulled the cards by greeting card company American Greetings after Black Twitter heaped scorn and ridicule in retweets of the card.

The cards were sold in about 900 stores across the country.

“We want all guests to feel welcomed and respected when they shop at Target,” Target spokesperson Joshua Thomas said in a statement to USA Today on Thursday.

American Greetings employs diverse artists to create cards that target minorities.

“This particular card was created for, and addressed to, a loving husband — which the inside copy makes clear,” the card publisher said in a statement, adding:

“However, we now see that the front page, taken out of context, can communicate an unintentional meaning that we are strongly against perpetuating and is not consistent with our company purpose and values.”

The retailer promised to “do better” in the future.
