To Vote or NOT to Vote w/Dr. Malik Shabazz on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

donald-trump-hillary-clinton-550x317Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are in a dead heat with just six days left until a major general election, according to a new poll. The candidates are tied, each with 46% of the likely voters, according to the latest ABC News/Washington Post, released Wednesday. Yet neither candidate are discussing real issues, instead they are on the attack criticizing each other; Clinton on Trumps disregard for women and Trump regarding Clinton’s emails and Bill’s indiscretions. The attacks are on each others characters, while some voters are reluctant in casting their vote for either candidate…deciding instead NOT TO VOTE AT ALL !!

All this and other issues – such as Clinton’s use of a private email system in defiance of government rules while she was secretary of state, and Trump’s obsession with responding to slights and criticism – have caused the character of both Clinton and Trump to be called into question day after day.

So in the midst of this public circus, with most American voters turned off by both candidates not focusing on real issues, the question most Americans are struggling with is; “To Vote or NOT to Vote?”

Donald Trump to Pay Legal Fees for Man Who Punched Black Protester

trump-mcgraw-550x172Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump continues his divisive and dangerous campaign rhetoric.

On Sunday’s NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump reiterated his promise to pay the legal fees of a man who punched a black protester in the face at a rally in N.C.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Fayetteville, N.C. when 78-year-old John McGraw is clearly seen or caught on camera punching protester Rakeem Jones who was being escorted out of the Crown Coliseum, in the face.

McGraw was later charged with assault and battery after video of the incident surfaced on the news and online.

Chuck Todd asked Trump about an earlier statement in which the Republican presidential candidate promised to pay the legal fees of anyone who punched out protesters at an earlier rally.

After stating he does not condone violence, Trump said he wanted to see more about the incident involving McGraw.

“I want to see,” Trump said. “The man got carried away, he was 78 years old, he obviously loves his country, and maybe he doesn’t like seeing what’s happening to the country.”

Trump said he didn’t rule out paying McGraw’s legal fees.

Well, I’m going to look at it,” he told Todd. “I’ve actually instructed my people to look into it, yes.”

Russell Simmons Pens Open Letter To Donald Trump

Russel_Donald

A real friend will always tell you the truth and that’s exactly what Russell Simmons did when he penned an open letter to Donald Trump.

Over 30 plus years you have been an amazing friend; endorsing my books, coming to my shows, flying me on your planes, your helicopters, and even allowing my family members and myself to stay in your house in Florida many times. So, it kinda pains me to know that my public statements about your candidacy have strained or ruined our friendship. However, the fact is, what’s at stake is bigger than us.

Trump has been sharing his racist opinions on every subject and leading in the polls in his bid toward the White House.

The self-made millionaire has however, set off a fire storm of controversy with his hateful comments regarding Muslims and Jews. Therefore Russell Simmons stood his position by openly and publicly putting his friend in his place. Simmons wanted it to be outwardly known that he is not in agreement with Donald and his prejudice rhetoric. In addition Simmons stressed how he would NOT support his friend if he initially wins the republican candidacy for the White House bid as a result.

It’s sadly enough, some Americans believe President Barack Obama is Muslim and for this fact, he’s somehow aiding and abetting these terrorist threats toward the United States with no plan of action. And with “The Donald” spewing all of this hate in an intolerant tone, it is no doubt setting the tone for a possible race war.

400,000 Sign Petition for Macy’s to Oust Trump

Because of his loud mouth, his public skepticism about President Obama’s birthplace and “sexist” comments, over 400,000 people have signed a petition asking Macy’s to sever its ties with business mogul Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump does not reflect the ‘magic of Macy’s and “We urge you to sever ties with him,” the petition reads on signon.org.

Singer and actress Cher was among those joining the “Dump Trump” campaign, calling him a “loudmouth, racist cretin” over his criticism of Obama.

“I’ll NEVER GO TO MACY’S AGAIN! I didn’t know they sold Donald Trump’s Line!” she wrote on Twitter.

Trump’s spokesman Michael Cohen, however, expressed confidence in the strength of the real estate mogul’s relationship with Macy’s.

“Mr. Trump is important to Macy’s, both as a brand and as an endorser. His ties, shirts, cufflinks, fragrances and other merchandise are top-selling items across the country – in particular Mr. Trump’s ties are the number one selling ties at Macy’s.”

Cohen questioned whether there are, in fact, 400,000 unique signatures on the petition. “Nevertheless,” he added, “the country has been founded on the principles of freedom of speech – something Mr. Trump is entitled to as well as the creator of this petition.”

Trump had not personally addressed the petition on Twitter as of Monday afternoon, but made a point of tweeting about his new clothing line for Macy’s.
