Battle For The Border Wall…Trump Challenges Dems in Primetime Address

WASHINGTON, DC – JANUARY 08: U.S. President Donald Trump speaks to the nation in his first-prime address from the Oval Office of the White House on January 8, 2019 in Washington, DC. A partial shutdown of the federal government has gone on for 17 days following the president’s demand for $5.7 billion for a border wall while Democrats have refused. President Trump took to the air last night on prime-time television to deliver his first televised national address to Americans from the Oval Office of the White House, to explain why the partial government shutdown is necessary to secure $5.7 billion dollars to fund the border wall.

In an unprecedented move, the three major TV networks limited President Trump’s speech to only 8 minutes. The networks initially hesitated to air the President’s speech at all because they feared he would say the wrong thing. Either way, I wasn’t tuned in.

Trump urged the American people to support his battle with the Democrats for border wall funding. “This is a choice between right and wrong, justice and injustice,” he said, describing border security as “a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul.”

Trump said Black and Hispanic Americans were hardest hit by the immigration crisis. He said migrant women and children were “victims” of lawless gangs and human smugglers who raped 1/3 of women on the way to the U.S.

These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs,” he said.

Trump said drugs and crime coming across the border endangered American lives.

The current shutdown began on December 22, and is estimated to cost the American taxpayers $6.5 billion per week.

The Love & Hatred For President Donald Trump Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Last week Rap artist, turned fashion designer Kanye West made a visit to the oval office at the White House. Invited by President Donald Trump himself, West professed his undying love and utmost respect for the president and all hell broke loose in the media. Social media especially. Saturday Night Live mocked them, while the media made a spectacle of Kanye’s rant, word for word. During his 10 minute rant in front of Trump and reporters, Kanye talked about everything from Democrats, single parent households, and Hillary Clinton.

Many politicians have this kind of cult of personality, but Trump’s is so feverish and all-encompassing that it’s particularly exhausting. And the hatred he inspires is so intense; it’s crushing in its divisiveness. It’s OK to like or dislike some things the president does or says but not others.

The president has done much damage to our country’s ability to come together for the common good and has jeopardized the pursuit of truth in his words and actions. However, we as a people don’t see the same things.

Join host Tracy L. Bell at 6:30 p.m. EST tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah” for her “Conversation and Commentary” – “The Love & Hatred For President Donald Trump“.

“President Trump is Putin’s Poodle!”

The man that it pains us to say is the President of the United States, stood with Russian President Vladimir Putin before the entire world and denounced his own intelligence committee.

The Russian president counters the mountain of evidence with an empty and robotic assertion: “the Russian State has not interfered and will never interfere in internal American affairs.”

Really???? Associated Press reporter — and Daily News alum — Jonathan Lemire gave Trump a choice, flat out: “who do you believe?”

At first, Trump refused to answer the question. He instead attacked Democrats for losing the election and dissembled, weaving together bits of conspiracy theories. Then he got down to brass tacks: He believes Putin. Angering both parties and sending media pools into a frenzy.

Trump said, referring to his director of national intelligence. “Putin says it’s not Russia. I don’t see any reason why it would be” Russia.

That sound you hear is the head of the U.S. executive branch stabbing his intelligence agencies in the back in order to side, against all evidence, alongside the leader of a country that meddled in an American election and wants to do it again.

We’re all to blame,” said the American President Monday, the foreign-policy equivalent of his “both sides” stance just as he took after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, VA.

Trump has made his position crystal clear which is a national tragedy and a state of emergency.

Trump likes “Golden Showers” According to Former FBI Director James Comey

President Donald Trump called former FBI director James Comey an ‘untruthful slime ball’ and ‘a PROVEN LEAKER AND LIAR’ who ‘should be prosecuted’ for putting classified information in view of the media.

James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired,’ Trump wrote on Twitter. ‘He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH.

Trump’s extraordinary tweet, an unprecedented moment in American history, came after excerpts from a televised interview were broadcast on national television, with Comey saying it’s ‘possible’ the most salacious detail in the anti-Trump ‘dirty dossier’ is true. Comey said in advance of next week’s high-profile book release that despite having access to the nation’s most sensitive law-enforcement intelligence for years, he still can’t dismiss the possibility that Trump was involved with ‘golden showers‘ a sex act with prostitutes five years ago in Moscow.

The ‘golden showers‘ accusation first came to light in an unproven dossier of opposition-research material paid for by the Democratic Party and the Hillary Clinton campaign and handed to the FBI during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Comey said he never told Trump that his political adversaries had funded the work, but warned him during a ‘really weird’ post-election meeting that the information was circulating at the top levels of the federal government.

‘It was almost an out-of-body experience for me,’ he said. ‘I was floating above myself looking down saying, “You’re sitting here briefing the incoming President of the United States about prostitutes in Moscow”.’

Comey suggested the claim was still unproven but hedged his bets, saying only that ‘when I got fired it was unverified.’ Which is probably why Trump fired him.

He said he never told Trump that he didn’t believe it ‘because I couldn’t say one way or another.’

FBI Raid On Trumps lawyer Signals Dark Times Ahead For President Trump

Oh I sense some dark days ahead for President Trump.

The FBI raid against Michael Cohen spiked President Donald Trump’s rampant indignation over the Robert Mueller probe to previously unseen heights, multiplying the persecution complex he feels about the FBI and his own Justice Department and fueling his sense he’s the target of a witch hunt.

And it suggests that Cohen, who paid off adult film star Stormy Daniels, could be a bridge between the two separate legal strands threatening Trump.

“There is no way that they are looking for things that don’t connect to the President in some way,” Anne Milgram, a former New Jersey attorney general told CNN’s Anderson Cooper of the Cohen raid. “It really is an unbelievable day when you start to think about what is happening, what we are going to see next.”

Trump’s rage continued into Tuesday morning, when he tweeted that “Attorney–client privilege is dead!” and referred to a “A TOTAL WITCH HUNT!!!,” his preferred moniker for Mueller’s investigation.

“We are in pretty treacherous territory here. It’s unprecedented to my knowledge to have the President’s personal attorney raided like this,” said CNN senior political analyst David Gergen. “They must have been able to present evidence that was hugely compelling to take a step like this.

Sources inside the White House say that Trump sees the move against Cohen as proof that Mueller has leaped far beyond the constraints of his original probe into whether his campaign operatives colluded with Russia.

The fact that Cohen — a relentless, unyielding protector of Trump — was hit by a search warrant particularly fed Trump’s anger.

“It’s a disgrace, it’s, frankly, a real disgrace, it’s an attack on our country in a true sense. It’s an attack on all we stand for,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

An FBI raid on the offices of a lawyer employed by a sitting President is something that is without precedent in modern political memory.
