Donald Trump to Pay Legal Fees for Man Who Punched Black Protester

trump-mcgraw-550x172Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump continues his divisive and dangerous campaign rhetoric.

On Sunday’s NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump reiterated his promise to pay the legal fees of a man who punched a black protester in the face at a rally in N.C.

Trump was speaking at a rally in Fayetteville, N.C. when 78-year-old John McGraw is clearly seen or caught on camera punching protester Rakeem Jones who was being escorted out of the Crown Coliseum, in the face.

McGraw was later charged with assault and battery after video of the incident surfaced on the news and online.

Chuck Todd asked Trump about an earlier statement in which the Republican presidential candidate promised to pay the legal fees of anyone who punched out protesters at an earlier rally.

After stating he does not condone violence, Trump said he wanted to see more about the incident involving McGraw.

“I want to see,” Trump said. “The man got carried away, he was 78 years old, he obviously loves his country, and maybe he doesn’t like seeing what’s happening to the country.”

Trump said he didn’t rule out paying McGraw’s legal fees.

Well, I’m going to look at it,” he told Todd. “I’ve actually instructed my people to look into it, yes.”

Sex & The Power of the Pipe! on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

12809637_478407482368668_2417366051421375774_nSex is most often controlled by the compatibility of two people in a relationship. But what if that sex is so mind blowing that you lose all reason, logic and basic common sense? What happens once you relinquish all control and inabilities between the sheets? You find yourself vulnerable and submissive based upon the act alone. I believe the term used nowadays is “whipped!”

You find yourself thinking about that person, constantly thinking about the act and being a slave to the next encounter for the opportunity of your next fix. It becomes your addiction, the reason for that pep in your step and that glide in your slide. It has the power to change you. Change your attitude, your feelings, your emotions and inhibitions.

Murder, Racially motivated, Racism in America, Racist

Four white men ordered to pay $840,000 for Jim Crow-style killing of Mississippi black man

untitledThey called their malicious outings “Jafrica” when these Mississippi teenagers from predominantly white Rankin County piled into their cars and drove into predominantly African American Jackson, Mississippi to “kill a nigga“. These trips were named for a portmanteau of “Jackson” and “Africa,” a nod to their specific and evil mission: to terrorize strangers for no other reason than that they were black. An evil act and racist behavior passed down from the Jim Crow era of their ancestors.

Sometimes they carried weapons; other times they operated solely with their fists. The young people targeted those who were homeless or drunk, because they would be easier to prey on and less likely to report an assault.

James Craig Anderson (pictured above), was killed during a “Jafrica” outing that day, a hate crime that led to arrests and sentences for 10 young people involved, all of whom pleaded guilty.

On Monday, four of the most prominent co-conspirators — Deryl Dedmon, 23, John Rice, 23, Dylan Butler, 24 and William Montgomery, 26 — were ordered by a federal judge in Mississippi to pay $840,000 in restitution to Anderson’s estate. The restitution case was prosecuted by the Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department.

imrs_wdpThe four men (one of them pictured left), all of whom are white, were previously found guilty of committing a racially motivated act that resulted in Anderson’s death, and they are each serving between seven and fifty (50) years in prison.

Conversations Of A Sistah, Oscars award show

Was Chris Rock a “Hit or Miss” as host of the Oscars last night?

390-kingoscars-0228I woke up this morning to conflicting reports on Chris Rock’s hosting last night of the controversial Oscars, aside from what I heard on the news this morning.

I never watched the Oscars however, most of my friends and thousands of black families across the country opted to not even do that much and boycotted the event altogether. Simply because not a single African American was nominated for one category this year.

With a voting pool that is overwhelmingly white, overwhelmingly male, and overwhelming old, 2016 turned out to be one of the whitest years in recent history for the Academy Awards.

I saw that before Chris even said a word, he walked out to Public Enemy’s song “Fight The Power” so the audience knew then he was going to tackle racism. But some people in the media and on Facebook thought Chris was a bit much on the topic stating:

“Much of what Rock said was distasteful, uncomfortable, and just plain wrong.”

But continuing down the road that the Oscars have been snubbing black folk for years, Rock said that the only reason they didn’t protest in 1962 or 1963 was because “we had real things to protest at the time.”

One writer said Chris mentioned something about “when your grandmother is hanging from a tree” and the audience laughed, when that was the deepest, darkest pain of any other group of people being used as a prime-time punch line.

All in all, my friends and most of the online critics who watched Rock’s opening monologue agreed that Rock missed the opportunity to school his white audience on the fact of the matter which is; more African Americans were killed by police in 2015 than in ANY of the previous 88 years of the Oscars. Instead of Rock downplayed the size and scope on the injustices we face today.

So again my question to you is:: Was Chris Rock a “Hit or Miss” as host of the Oscars last night? What’s your opinion? I’d like to know.
