Are You in a relationship with the WRONG man? Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Wrong_relationship

As I continue to celebrate women this Women’s History month, we will explore the types of relationships women seek to succeed.

Our relationships are very important to us and we jump through hoops and do all that we can to make these personal relationships work. But do these relationships work when we’re making the effort to succeed with them on our own?

Some women are attracted to bad boys; they may be alcoholics, married men, or men with an attitude. I believe some women like these elements of danger in their relationships, thinking they’re the one woman who will make a difference in that man’s life. They will be the one who will make him faithful. They will be the one who gets him sober or they will be the one to change him. That kind of thinking may be dangerous, when in all actuality ladies, YOU CANNOT CHANGE A MAN!!!!!

Women are smart, some women even successful; but are making all the wrong choices when it comes to choosing a man. Are you in a relationship with the right man? Are these many theories correct? That smart women are almost magnetically drawn to the wrong men?

Tune in Wednesday March 20, 2013 on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss with my guest, Motivational Speaker, Author and Relationship Expert, ILinda Reese  as to why “Smart Women are making Wrong choices” in relationships!

President Obama’s ‘Twin’ Cast as ‘Satan’ in History Channel’s ‘The Bible’

obama-the-bible_550x310

Some people are ridiculous when it comes down to their exaggerations. There is supposedly a striking resemblance between Satan in the History Channel’s series ‘The Bible’ and President Barack Obama.

I don’t see it; but the media is having a field day with it by saying there’s a comparison. The show’s ‘Satan’ character is dark-skinned, while President Barack Obama, who is mixed, is more fair-skinned.

From ONTD:

Coincidence, or not-so-subtle political commentary? A major hit already, History Channel’s 10-part miniseries The Bible is stirring up extra attention for its casting. The role of Satan, i.e. the bad guy, is played by the actor Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, who, thanks to makeup and other production tricks, bears a startling resemblance to President Barack Obama.

The resemblance was pointed out on Twitter while the show still aired on Sunday. Glenn Beck, the Christian conservative broadcaster who has called the series “one of the most important shows in decades,” sent out a tweet with a screenshot. Beck, who refuses to use Obama’s name, referred to the president as “That Guy.”

Michelle Obama Covers Vogue Magazine

Michelle-Obama-covers-Vogue

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama talk to Jonathan Van Meter about their life as parents, their marriage, and their vision for America’s families.

In the in-depth article, Mrs. Obama, and her husband Barack, discuss their lives together and how his presidency has drastically altered the dynamics of their marriage.

The president often forgets that the world doesn’t revolve around him. Barack says Mrs. Obama constantly reminds him to make time for their daughters, Malia and Sasha:

And what Michelle has done is to remind me every day of the virtues of order.” The First Lady lets out a big laugh. “Being on time. Hanging up your clothes. Being intentional about planning time with your kids. In some ways I think . . . we’re very different people, and some of that’s temperamental, some of it is how we grew up. Michelle grew up in a model nuclear family: mom, dad, brother… My mother was this wonderful spirit, and she was adventurous but not always very well-organized. And, so, what that means is that I’m more comfortable with change and adventure and trying new things, but the downside of it is, sometimes—particularly when we were early on in our marriage—I wasn’t always thinking about the fact that my free-spirited ways might be having an impact on the person I’m with. And conversely, early in our marriage, Michelle provided this sense of stability and clarity and certainty about things, but sometimes she resisted trying something new just because it might seem a little scary or push her out of her comfort zone. I think what we’ve learned from each other is that sense of. . . .” “Balance,” she says. “There’s no doubt I’m a better man having spent time with Michelle. I would never say that Michelle’s a better woman, but I will say she’s a little more patient

“Loving Your Bodies” as it is…tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Dr.Clark_COS

Ladies, as we are in the midst of celebrating the history of woman this month, we must deal with the downside of being a woman. Many of us have hidden insecurities and annoying little dislikes about ourselves. Some of us diet endlessly, while considering different surgeries to alter our body images and appearances, instead of loving ourselves as we are.

Wednesday on “Conversations Of A Sistah“, my guest is Dr. Felicia Clark, life coach, author and former Plus-Size Cover Model, who is the nation’s leading scholar on Body Terrorism. Dr. Clark  will discuss with me the big business of low self-esteem and talk about how advertisers use science and emotional manipulation to make us feel inadequate. Dr. Clark believes many of our social problems as a Community are attributable to this type of persuasion.

Join me Wednesday at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss “Loving your bodies as it is” with the fabulous Dr. Felicia Clark.

As usual, we invite you to send your questions or comments for Dr. Clark to the show @conversations@optonline.net

You can access the show at any of “Conversations Links” in this post.

As usual I’m hoping to meet you all on the air.
