Star Jones Wants You to STOP Watching Basketball Wives…

News flash for Star, I stopped watching the show long time ago. I could no longer stomach a group of petty, classless women fighting and degrading themselves on national television. And now, Star Jones is launching a campaign against it.

“It may be ‘comfortable’ to be quiet when women of color slap the crap out of each other & run across tables barefoot, but #ENOUGHisENOUGH.” “I’m about to put together a group of sisters to finally ‘tell the truth’ about the image of women of color in the media,” she said.

Star made reference to a recent episode, where Jennifer Williams was slapped.  Williams has decided to file suit against those involved, rather than responding with additional violence.

“And the thought that the woman from #BBW who was smacked doesn’t have the RIGHT to file assault charges is LUDICROUS! You NEVER give up your right not to have your ‘person’ intentionally assaulted unless you are participating in an agreed physical activity,” Star went on to write.

Star then issued a call to other women with platforms to support her movement.

“I’m asking all my high-profile, platform having conscientious sisters who STAND FOR SOMETHING to just say #ENOUGHisENOUGH & call folk out! Be mad. But think about what I said. WE ARE BETTER than that. You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution.”

So here it is CEO family: will you STOP watching the show?

Judge Sets $150,000 Bond for Zimmerman

The self-proclaimed neighborhood watch killer had a hearing in Seminole County Florida this morning, where a judge set his bond at $150,000.

Clad in a dark suite and a crisp white shirt and tie, Zimmerman appeared in court looking like a choir boy; as he apologized to Tracy and Sabrina Martin for killing their son Trayvon.

Zimmerman’s bond comes with the following stipulations: he must seek permission to travel out-of-state for his safety, when in my opinion, he’s safe nowhere at this point. Zimmerman has to have GPS monitoring system, no possession of firearms, no use of controlled substance and no contact with the victim’s family.

He must also meet with the state to be fitted for a GPS ankle bracelet, which means he most likely won’t be released until Monday. However, Zimmerman can be released by paying at least 15,000 which is 10% of his bond.

New York Jets Cornerback Fathered “10” Children with “8” Women

Now I know I’ve blogged about this player before….Antonio Cromartie, 27, (pictured here with his wife), who had ten (10) kids with seven (7) different women in six states; New Jersey, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Texas and California, where he used to play for the Chargers.

Cromartie is now married and have 2 children with his wife, she has one kid from a previous relationship and he has custody of his first son, making it 4 children at home.

Well anyway, he’s in the news again because his other baby mama’s, all seven (7) of them (except for his wife), have banded together in a type of camaraderie that is highly unusual.

Cro’s seven baby mamas have pitched a reality Television show, and all they need is his blessing so they can all get paid but he won’t give his consent.

The leader of the pack is the mother of Cromartie’s oldest son Alonzo, Rosemita Pierre, of Tallahassee, Fla. Pierre lost custody of Alonzo to Cromartie, so she may be a bit bitter as well as penniless. “He’s supposedly a role model, but he’s not doing what he should be doing as a father, or as a man,” she told the NY Post.

She says Cromartie continues to defy a court order that allows her to speak with her son three times a week. “They don’t answer the phone,” said Pierre, who’s called the cops in Randolph, New Jersey, to knock on Cromartie’s door. “It’s a hurtful situation” she said.. “it’s like he’s trying to erase me.”

Pierre, who gets no child support from Cromartie, wants desperately to do the reality show because she wants her son to know all his half-siblings.

Even though they all (his kids mamas), split the $500K evenly amongst them, the women from California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey want more.

Cromartie, who signed a four-year, $32 million contract with the Jets last fall, received a $500,000 advance up front to pay his delinquent child support to his seven baby mamas.

The NY Post put together a graphic (here) that makes it easier for you to match the children to their mothers. This is a real mess!

George Zimmerman Will be Charged For Killing Trayvon Martin

At 6 p.m. today, a prosecutor will announce official charges against George Zimmerman for the February 26 killing of Trayvon Martin. Authorities also supposedly know where George Zimmerman is.

Well I say: It’s about damn time!!!! Especially since the evidence was pretty much cut and dry from the onset of this terrible tragedy, while giving Zimmerman plenty enough time to flee the country.

Zimmerman has asserted since this case has sparked protest and outrage; that he shot 17-year-old Trayvon martin, in self-defense after the two fought. However., a 911 call (made public) clearly indicated Zimmerman had targeted the teen and pursued him all along.

The self-proclaimed neighborhood watchman used his racial hatred to hide behind Florida’s so-called stand your ground law, which gives people wide latitude to claim self-defense in a killing and other altercations.

Let’s tune in at 6:00 p.m. to see what the charges will be. I’ll be watching from PoliticsNation, because I know Al Sharpton will have the coverage LIVE.

Update & Breaking News: George Zimmerman’s Lawyers Quit!!!

Lawyers representing the man who killed Trayvon Martin said: they haven’t heard from their client in days and word on the street is he hasn’t paid them for legal fees thus far.

Zimmerman’s lawyers called a hasty press conference today to announce their decision to quit as Zimmerman’s legal counsel. The lawyers say they can’t find Zimmerman, who gunned down 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, Feb. 26.

The attorney’s state, Zimmerman is not in the state of Florida period.

Attorney Craig Sonner said he lost contact with Zimmerman on Sunday. He told the media that Zimmerman refused to answer phone calls and emails since Sunday. Zimmerman reportedly called Fox News’ Sean Hannity, and the special prosecutor to give his side of the story — a very unusual move.

Hannity is refusing to disclose what Zimmerman told him.

According to CNN legal analyst Jeff Toobin, the lawyers are “setting [Zimmerman] up for an arrest.”

We will continue to Watch, Wait and see how this will play out.
