Was Rodney King Murdered? Neighbors say they heard “commotion” at his home

Neighbors of Rodney King, the man whose videotaped beating by LAPD officers sparked the LA Riots, say they heard a “commotion” coming from his Rialto, California home the night before he was found dead Sunday morning.

According to TMZ sources, King’s fiancée Cynthia Kelley found him at the bottom of his pool Sunday. He was pronounced dead at 6:11 AM.

Law enforcement sources say Rialto PD will open a drowning investigation, but so far there are no signs of foul play.

Neighbor Sandra Garcia told the LA Times she heard the sounds of sobbing coming from the home Saturday night. “There was a lot of moaning and crying,” she said.

Another neighbor, Bob Carlberg, said he heard “yelling back and forth. I couldn’t quite make it out.”

Police found the 47-year-old King lying motionless at the bottom of the pool.

Ms. Kelley, who was a member of the jury that awarded King $3.8 million in a settlement, told friends she awoke to the sound of King yelling in the backyard. He had been drinking all day and smoking weed.

She said he was naked and banging on the glass. But she didn’t get up to see what the commotion was. Later she said she heard a loud splash.

Kelley dialed 911 at 5:11 a.m. to report King was at the bottom of the pool. Police arrived within minutes and dived into the pool to retrieve King’s body.

The acquittal of four LAPD officers accused in the videotaped beating of King sparked the 1992 Los Angeles riots that left 53 dead and thousands more injured. 4,000 National Guardsmen were called out to help put an end to 6 days of violence and looting.

King, who had past convictions for assault, battery and robbery, made an impassioned plea to rioters, included his now famous quote: “Can’t we all just get along?”

In 2009 King was awarded $3.8 in a settlement for violating his civil rights. He became engaged to one of the jurors who awarded him the money. In 2007 King was shot multiple times in the face, arms, back and torso during a domestic dispute.

George Zimmerman’s Wife was Arrested but bonded out of jail…

According to NBC News, the wife of George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Trayvon Martin, has been arrested.

Shellie Zimmerman was arrested today and charged with one count of perjury for lying under oath about her husband’s finances. She quickly bonded out of jail.

In a bond hearing on April 20, Shellie Zimmerman told the judge she had no idea how much money Zimmerman’s private website had collected. In fact, she transferred at least $155,000 to her own personal account 3 days before the hearing.

In his written order revoking George Zimmerman’s bond on June 1, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester wrote:

“It is apparent that [Shellie] Zimmerman testified untruthfully at the bond hearing. The Defendant also testified, but did not alert the Court to the misinformation.”

“Had the Court been made aware of the true financial circumstances at the bond hearing, the bond decision might have been different.”

Lester added: “Most importantly, though, is the fact that he has now demonstrated that he does not properly respect the law or the integrity of the judicial process,” Lester wrote.

Zimmerman turned himself in on June 3rd. His new bond hearing is set for June 29.

Trouble in Paradise for Dijon Mustard & Kimora Lee Simmons

According to a source reporting to the New York Daily News, the loving couple have split after a “big fight over money” and “Djimon walked out on Kimora,” says the source; who adds that the split may have been prompted by Simmons’ ex-husband, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons’ decision to stop funding the couple’s lifestyle.

St. Louis-born “Kimora lives as if she’s the Queen of England,” notes the source, although there’s at least one sign her life in the “fab lane” may be slowing to a crawl; Simmons, 37, creative director and president of the shopping website JustFab.com, is unloading her modest (by celeb standards) six-bedroom, eight-bath Beverly Hills country home at a loss.

Simmons reportedly paid $5.9 million for the home at the height of the market in 2007 and has now listed it for just $4.7 million.

On Monday, Simmons responded via Twitter to speculation the house sale was a sign of financial difficulty… and so what if it is.

“Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+ DONT live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is falling apart?!” she tweeted. “Rumors, Rumors …”

Simmons began dating the 48-year-old Hounsou, from Benin, Africa, in March 2007 after separating in 2006 from Simmons. The two were married for 10 years and have two daughters, Ming , 12, and Aoki , 9. They divorced in 2009.

In summer 2008, Simmons and Hounsou participated in a traditional Beninese commitment ceremony. In May 2009, their son Kenzo Lee Hounsou was born. He just celebrated his third birthday.

Georgie Porgie Zimmerman put on weight while out on bond…

The judge in the George Zimmerman murder trial has revoked his bond, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Zimmerman has 24 hours to report to the same jail he was released from in April.

Prosecutors in Florida have asked a judge to revoke George Zimmerman’s bond. Prosecutors say Zimmerman and his wife “misled and deceived the court” during an April bond hearing. The motion alleges that Zimmerman and his wife spoke in code to hide his financial resources.

Zimmerman’s integrity and credibility will be the center of this case because he is the lone survivor of his attack on Trayvon Martin; and so far we’re seeing that Zimmerman is a LIAR, something the facts have shown thus far.

Zimmerman is charged with 2nd degree murder in the February shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. This unjustified killing sparked national outrage!

His trial is expected to begin early next year.

Former High School Star Deserves A Shot at NFL Future…

Pictured above is Brian Banks and he’s crying as his kidnap and rape conviction is dismissed yesterday in a Long Beach, California courtroom.

Brian’s story started ten years ago, he was a high school football star in Long Beach, Calif., heading for a full scholarship at powerhouse University of Southern California when he was falsely accused of rape and kidnap. The accusations ruined all of Brian’s potential NFL dreams.

But after spending ten years in a California prison, Brian’s accuser “friended him on Facebook” with a very strange request to let “bygones be bygones”. So with the help of a private investigator, Brian’s accuser was recorded admitting she made the whole (rape and kidnapping) thing up and was reluctant to come forward because of a 1.5 million dollar settlement she had reached with the school district.

But with the help of the Innocence Project, Banks used the evidence to be exonerated and as of yesterday (Thursday May 24, 2012) a prosecutor moved to have the case and his charges dismissed.

Having lost 10 years of life that Brian can’t possibly get back, he’s hoping now for an NFL career and damn well deserve it.

But what do you think should happen to Brian Bank’s accuser? A women who so conveniently lied and deterred his life and dreams of a promising NFL career. A woman who so nonchalantly “befriended Brian on Facebook” as if he hadn’t suffered and lived ten years behind bars because of her LIE!!!!!

I hope and pray charges are brought against her, and she is made to pay back every penny she was awarded for lying on an innocent young man.
