Teacher Who Told Student Her Purpose Was to Have Sex and Babies Resigns

shaniaya-hunter-550x279Cory Hunter (pictured left above), is the teacher who told a 16-year-old female student that, “her only purpose in life” was to “have sex and have babies resigned after the story hit the fan.

Hunter resigned from his position as a teacher in the Greene County, GA. Public School System during a heated school board meeting on Monday.

School Superintendent Chris Houston said Hunter apologized for any “disruption” caused by his behavior.

Hunter reportedly said, “I’m sorry. I quit.”

Shaniaya Hunter (no relation to her teacher), a junior at Greene County High School, has an eye condition which caused her to miss a number of days from class.

After a few unexcused absences, Shaniaya asked Hunter (who is not related to her), if she could take a makeup test. But Hunter allegedly said, “I have been around for 37 years and clearly, you are the dumbest girl that I have ever met.”

He added: “You know what your purpose is going to be? To have sex and have children, because you ain’t gonna never be smart.”

Shaniaya told ABC News affiliate WSB-TV that Hunter was known for insulting other students in his class. So she recorded his outburst on her iPad.

It really hurt me inside,” Hunter said.

Her teacher should have resigned, he saved the school board the trouble of dismissing him for such cruel, degrading and incentive remarks.

The Confederate Flag….A Symbol of Slavery or Racism? On the next “Conversations Of A Sistah”

battle-flag-2a

As you know, the uproar over the Confederate flag began last month after photos surfaced online of church shooter Dylan Roof waving the flag. It was the execution of nine (9) individuals in a church in Charleston, South Carolina to change the wave of this conversation.

The South Carolina Senate voted Monday to remove the Confederate flag from a pole on the Statehouse grounds, though the proposal still needs approval from the state House and the governor.

The bill requires a two-thirds vote in each chamber; the Senate approved it 37-3. Gov. Nikki Haley has said she wants the flag to come down and will sign the bill.

Monday’s vote comes less than a week after the 15th anniversary of South Carolina taking the flag off the Capitol dome where it flew since the early 1960s and moving it to beside a monument honoring Confederate soldiers.

Omari Hardwick Lashes Back And Defends His wife!

Women everywhere were crushed when actor Omari Hardwick was photographed in public with his interracial family over the weekend. The handsome heartthrob who appears in the Starz hit drama series “Power” and BET’s hit series “Being Mary Jane” was spotted having lunch in Tribeca.

Hardwick was not happy when black Twitter disparaged his masculine looking wife and called her “ugly”, so he clapped back on a twitter rant in her defense.

White Woman Mad that Black Woman Joined Her Yoga Class

exerciseclass

Jen Caron, a self-described “skinny white girl,” enjoys yoga. Or at least she did—until a large black woman joined her yoga class.

A few weeks ago, as I settled into an exceptionally crowded midday class, a young, fairly heavy black woman put her mat down directly behind mine. It appeared she had never set foot in a yoga studio—she was glancing around anxiously, adjusting her clothes, looking wide-eyed and nervous. Within the first few minutes of gentle warm-up stretches, I saw the fear in her eyes snowball, turning into panic and then despair. Before we made it into our first downward dog, she had crouched down on her elbows and knees, head lowered close to the ground, trapped and vulnerable. She stayed there, staring, for the rest of the class.

Over the course of the next hour, I watched as her despair turned into resentment and then contempt. I felt it all directed toward me and my body.

Imagine: there you are, in yoga class, when all of a sudden, directly behind you, you sense a fairly heavy black woman who you can feel directing resentment directly at your body. Reality—or nightmare?

I say if you were focusing on your yoga class and not the large black woman behind you, it wouldn’t have mattered.

GOP Haters going after Michelle Obama

subway ad

No I don’t want to talk about the Grammy’s which aired last night because I didn’t watch! Some of the young artist of today lack talent, class and a sense of decorum and I’d rather not waste my time.

I do however; want to address the Facebook page that was created for the sole purpose of rejecting Subways partnership with Michelle Obama. The image above was listed on their page and is an indication of the racist intent to insult the first lady behind the guise of their gripe.

The creator or creators of this page have twisted the message and the meaning as dictatorship and a deplorable way of insulting the first lady’s efforts. Yet obesity has been cited as a contributing factor to approximately 100,000–400,000 deaths in the United States each year.

With high blood pressure, diabetes and other weight and health related diseases on the rise, how can Michelle Obama’s initiative be so misconstrued?

The bigotry of these individuals are bold  and their ignorance heralds the sadness of their misguided reasoning to reject the positive results of the first lady’s initiative’s in the first place.

How sad!!
