The Conversations are back!!!

And with so much happening in the news today, we didn’t know where to begin. Therefore we decided to talk about the topic on everybody’s minds throughout social media and in the news and that’s the R. Kelly docuseries “Surviving R. Kelly” which aired as a six hour series on lifetime television at the start of the New Year.

The six-part docuseries focused on the testimonies of multiple women who claim the R&B singer/songwriter molested and abused them over the years. Since then R. Kelly has faced more accusations — including allegations that he kept a harem of young women hostage in 2 mansions in the suburban Atlanta area. But no charges were filed against him.

Since the docuseries aired, Kelly has faced major backlash with his label, Sony Records who has reportedly parted ways with the 52 year old “bump and grind” R & B crooner in the aftermath of a sex scandal involving adult women who claim the singer abused them and held them hostage in his Atlanta area home and a Chicago recording studio.

The six-hour series which aired over three nights featured multiple women sharing their experiences with Kelly. The women – who are above the age of consent – allege that Kelly lured them into his sex cult, allegedly holding them captive at his home in Georgia and at his recording studio near his native Chicago, Illinois. The series touched on the fact that, the singer would have men in his entourage search out young groupies before and during the singers concerts.

President Trump waited until Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other high ranking Democrats boarded a bus to the airport to inform them that their 7-day excursion to Europe, Africa and the Middle East was cancelled.

Pelosi and about two dozen lawmakers sat fuming on an Air Force bus while aides frantically called the Pentagon and White House to confirm their trip had really been canceled.

Witnesses say the bus circled the Capitol building several times before it finally pulled up to the Capitol and let the passengers off. Military officers carried Pelosi’s baggage back inside the Capitol building and left them on a cart in the hallway outside her office.

The spat between Trump and Pelosi began when she tried to cancel his State of the Union Address on Thursday. She claimed the President couldn’t speak to the nation because there weren’t enough Secret Service agents during the shutdown. But the Secret Service disputed her claim.

In a letter to Pelosi on Thursday, Trump canceled Pelosi’s publicly unannounced trip, saying 800,000 workers were not being paid, so she needed to stay home to negotiate the funding of the border wall to end the shutdown.

Petty Trump told Pelosi she could still fly to Europe – on a commercial airliner if she insist.

While I agree with what the President addressed in his letter, the fact that such a letter was issued and then made public with a misspelling is unprofessional. It also speaks to the level of individuals he has working in his administration.

This is President Trump’s shutdown because Pelosi is not going to fund a 5 billion dollar wall on the U.S. tax payers dime. Furthermore Trump need to check his facts, immigrants and drug smugglers are crossing the border into the U.S. not by a border wall.

Philadelphia Woman Mad Eagles Lost, Attacks Girlfriend, Puts Dog in Microwave

A Philadelphia Eagles fan was so enraged after her favorite team lost a NFL playoff game, that police say she attacked her girlfriend and tried to microwave the girlfriend’s puppy, a white Pomeranian.

Kirsten Gaskins, 31, and her girlfriend were staying at a hotel in Hanover Township on Sunday, according to PEOPLE. Gaskins began yelling at the TV while watching the Eagles face elimination against the New Orleans Saints in a playoff game.

Gaskins lost her cool when the defending champion Eagles lost to the Saints 20-14.

Police say Gaskins had a physical confrontation with her girlfriend, a Saints fan. The two women began tussling and pushing each other before Gaskins forced her to the floor, punching her several times in the face.

During the scuffle, her girlfriend’s white Pomeranian tried to defend his master. When the girlfriend broke away and ran for the door, Gaskins threatened to microwave the pooch.

Police were called to the hotel, where they found the girlfriend with visible injuries to her face and neck. Gaskins also suffered injuries to her face.

Police rescued the unharmed Pomeranian from the microwave oven, which wasn’t turned on.

Gaskins was charged with simple assault, harassment, cruelty to animals and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released on $20,000 bond, according to PEOPLE.

Battle For The Border Wall…Trump Challenges Dems in Primetime Address

President Trump took to the air last night on prime-time television to deliver his first televised national address to Americans from the Oval Office of the White House, to explain why the partial government shutdown is necessary to secure $5.7 billion dollars to fund the border wall.

In an unprecedented move, the three major TV networks limited President Trump’s speech to only 8 minutes. The networks initially hesitated to air the President’s speech at all because they feared he would say the wrong thing. Either way, I wasn’t tuned in.

Trump urged the American people to support his battle with the Democrats for border wall funding. “This is a choice between right and wrong, justice and injustice,” he said, describing border security as “a crisis of the heart and a crisis of the soul.”

Trump said Black and Hispanic Americans were hardest hit by the immigration crisis. He said migrant women and children were “victims” of lawless gangs and human smugglers who raped 1/3 of women on the way to the U.S.

“These children are used as human pawns by vicious coyotes and ruthless gangs,” he said.

Trump said drugs and crime coming across the border endangered American lives.

The current shutdown began on December 22, and is estimated to cost the American taxpayers $6.5 billion per week.

Please don’t get it twisted ladies, chivalry is not dead!

You can tell a lot about a man simply by the way he opens the door for you. A car door, the door before you walk into a building, these actions speak to a man’s mannerism. When he keeps you closely by his side as you walk the street in a protective manner, he’s a keeper. These are important traits you’d look for in a potential partner or lifelong mate.

Let’s be real here, would you really like to date a guy who doesn’t give a shit about you? A man who doesn’t know the true meaning of respect?

We need to raise the bar ladies in 2019!

President Donald Trump is a prime example. Pictures of him shaking the Obama’s hands on inauguration day and entering the White House ahead of his wife Melania spoke volumes. Donald Trump is the first president ever who did not wait for his wife and accompany her up the stairs into the White House. He didn’t open the car door for her either. This goes to prove, money can’t buy you class and/or respect!

So here’s why you should only consider a man who opens doors for you:

  1. He’s Mature – He’s not a boy: He’s a man and immaturity is just not how he rolls.
  2. He appreciates you – He has manners and he knows how to use them.
  3. He’s the ultimate example that chivalry is NOT Dead! – He knows how to treat a lady
  4. He’s Considerate – He knows being thoughtful is an important key to making a relationship thrive and survive.
  5. He’s Respectful – He knows the meaning of RESPECT like the back of his hand.
  6. He’s Supportive – He will always be 100 percent team you.
  7. He Puts You First – He will walk through fire first just so that you don’t get burnt.
  8. He’s Affectionate – He’ll show you and give you the love you deserve
  9. He Cares About What you Think Of Him – The man who cares about impressing you and gaining your affection is a keeper!
