“President Obama Wants To Appease The Gays”

By not addressing this whole gay marriage issue!

Obama said in January that he is still wrestling with whether gay couples should have the right to marry. He said his feelings on the issue continue to evolve but he still believes in allowing strong civil unions.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that, at Obama’s direction, it would not defend the Defense of Marriage Act in a court case where it’s being challenged.

Spokesman Jay Carney said Obama has always opposed the Defense of Marriage Act as “unnecessary and unfair.” But Carney said there’s no change to how Obama views gay marriage itself.

The President is displaying his compromising spirit on this issue, all because he’s looking to be re-elected in 2012. He’s compromising his integrity by staying quiet on his position regarding gay/same-sex marriage…

The one thing I respected about former President Bush, he stated he was against gay marriage and the lifestyle of homosexuality and didn’t give a damn what people thought about his moral position on the subject.

A Christian hotel denied a gay couple reservations in their hotel and now the hotel is being sued.

The Chymorva Private Hotel in Cornwall, U.K., have a deep christian policy with regard to marriage (being the union of one man to one woman for life to the exclusion of all others). Therefore their accommodations are not available to unmarried couples.

In September 2008, civil partners Steven Preddy and Martyn Hall reserved a double room at the hotel, when the hotel’s manager “realized that the booking had not been made for a heterosexual couple,” their hotel reservation was cancelled, according to a Christian Post article. This policy of their’s have been in effect since the hotel was established in 1986.

The hotel owner’s business, doubles as their home as well as a hotel.

What’s your opinion Ceo readers, does the hotel have a right to decide who stays in their rooms??

“Rutgers Student Commits Suicide”

On Thursday, Sept. 23, Tyler Clementi (pictured above), a freshman at Rutgers University, committed suicide by jumping off the George Washington bridge; after his roommate uploaded a sex tape of him making out with another male to the internet.

Fellow freshmen students Dharun Ravi, 18, of Plainsboro and Molly Wei, 18, of Princeton have been charged with invasion of privacy for allegedly placing a camera in 18-year-old Tyler Clementi’s room.

Ravi and Wei were charged with two counts each of invasion of privacy for using a camera to view and transmit a live image of the teen during the sexual encounter on Sept. 19.

Ravi was additionally charged with two more counts of invasion of privacy for trying to use the hidden camera to view the same student during another sexual encounter just three days later on Sept. 21.

Days before the suicide, Ravi tweeted: “Roommate asked for the room till midnight. I went into Molly’s room and turned on my webcam. I saw him making out with a dude.

Ravi was released on $25,000 bail. He has since deleted his Twitter page. If convicted, both students face up to 5 years in prison.

“Eddie Long Is Defended By His Spokesperson”

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church continues to defend its embattled Pastor, Bishop Eddie Long, who stands accused of using his excessive influence over young men in his ministry by coercing them into providing him with sexual favors in return for cash and lavish gifts.

The plaintiffs, Anthony Flagg, 21, and Maurice Robinson, 20, of DeKalb County, filed lawsuits against Long and his ministry on Tuesday.

Art Franklin, the head of public relations for New Birth Missionary Baptist Church called into the V-103 Frank and Wanda Morning show this morning to categorically deny the allegations against Long.

Franklin said the church found out about the allegations through the media. “We have not actually been served any copies of the lawsuits,” he told Frank Ski, who is a staunch supporter of Long and a longtime member of New Birth Missionary Baptist church.

Rumor has it that Franklin himself was caught up in a similar sex scandal when his wife divorced him, citing extramarital affairs — with other men.

Meanwhile, industry insiders are whispering that the allegations contained in the lawsuits are just the tip of the iceberg. “This is about to be Tiger Woods part 2,” said one source who is close to the New Birth camp.

The source said Long was often seen in the company of young boys who he wined and dined in fancy restaurants.

“These boys are older now and they are no longer getting money from the church,” said the source, indicating that more lawsuits will soon follow.

In the meantime, New Birth Ministries took down its website last night, most likely to scrub the website of pictures or other damaging info that might hurt their case.

“The Bishop’s Alias Was Dick Tracy”

That’s the name Bishop Eddie Long used when he was traveling and checking into lavish hotels with his young male church members. The men flew on Long’s personal jet and shared a bed with him at hotels.

However, the bulk of the relations occurred on the megachurch’s property, including inside Long’s “guest house” on Snapfinger Road in south DeKalb, GA.

The plaintiffs, Anthony Flagg, 21, and Maurice Robinson, 20, began having inappropriate relations with Eddie Long at the age of 16, which is the legal age of consent in Georgia, said their attorney B.J. Bernstein.

The suits allege that Long chose the plaintiffs to be his “Spiritual Sons,” a program that allegedly includes other young men from the church.

“Spiritual Sons are taken on public and private jets to U.S. and international destinations, housed in luxury hotels and given access to numerous celebrities including entertainment stars and politicians,” the suit alleges.

Flagg moved into a home owned by another New Birth pastor when he was a high school junior, according to the suit, where Long would sometimes share a bed with him. Flagg was eventually put on the church’s payroll, his suit alleges, with Long personally delivering his pay checks.

Flagg’s suit says that Long presided over a spiritual “covenant” ceremony between the two of them.

“It was essentially a marriage ceremony, with candles, exchange of jewelry, and biblical quotes,” Bernstein said Tuesday. “The bishop [told] him I will always have your back and you will always have mine.”

This is really sick!!

The suits allege that various staff members working for Long, his church and the Longfellows Academy — which the suit describes as an offshoot ministry of New Birth — “knew of Defendant Long’s sexually inappropriate conduct and did nothing to warn or protect [the plaintiffs].”
