Don Lemon is not backing down from his comments calling white men America’s “biggest terror threat”. Lemon made the comments during a CNN segment on Monday.
Lemon said, “We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them.”
Lemon continued: “There is no travel ban on them. There is no ban on… you know, they had the Muslim ban. There is no ‘white guy ban.’ So what do we do about that?”
Ironically, Lemon, who is openly gay, dates a Caucasian man, Tim Malone (pictured right).
A CNN spokesman said CNN and Lemon would have no further comments on Lemon’s incendiary statements.
President Trump has undoubtedly sown racial division in this country by fueling anxiety over race with white supremacist who are putting action to his rhetoric. Trump is returning to the inflammatory playbook that helped lift him to victory nearly two years ago, waging a campaign of fear and racial division in an effort to save his party’s majorities in Congress. With just six days left before the midterm elections, Trump is amplifying a dark vision of what the country could look like if Democrats gain control in Congress. At campaign rallies, on Twitter and in his public commentary, he has issued urgent – if groundless – warnings about terrorists at the border, a socialist takeover and rampant crime.
Treasure, a 16-year-old Black girl who identifies as Caucasian, was a guest on the Dr. Phil Show this week. The episode sparked outrage after Treasure said Black people were “gross” and “ugly”.
Don’t get me wrong the past should neither be forgotten nor accepted, it should be “a thing“ to be treasured and lessons to be learnt and then you MOVE ON.
Last week Rap artist, turned fashion designer Kanye West made a visit to the oval office at the White House. Invited by President Donald Trump himself, West professed his undying love and utmost respect for the president and all hell broke loose in the media. Social media especially. Saturday Night Live mocked them, while the media made a spectacle of Kanye’s rant, word for word. During his 10 minute rant in front of Trump and reporters, Kanye talked about everything from Democrats, single parent households, and Hillary Clinton.
