“Defining a Sistah’s self-worth” ~ Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

depression

When we’ve been hurt and disappointed, we automatically lock ourselves in a box for protection, shunning out those parts of our-lives that are susceptible to be hurt again. We swear off relationships and throw away any chance of true love and fidelity as a reality. We’ll allow one huge mistake, regret or experience to determine our destiny in life going forward.

But isn’t it sad to stop living and believing all because you give consent to your past to manipulate and define your future?

I know many women who have settled for less, and simply “accepted” the cards dealt because deep down inside, they don’t believe they deserve more. I’m sure you know of someone who seems to have it all together in their life, but when it comes to relationships, they just can’t seem to shake the hurt they’ve been dealt in the past or seem to repeat over and over again.

Don’t you feel you deserve the best your purpose has to offer in every aspect of your life? And that includes love and the right relationships.

Join me tonight at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via “Conversations Live” as I discuss “Defining a Sistah’s self-worth“.

What in the Sam-Hell happened to Miley Cyrus?

miley-twerkin-500x265

The once innocent looking girl who quietly burst onto the scene in the entertainment industry, has turned her “squeaky clean” image into that of a full-blown slut girl.

Cyrus, who has twerked her way into the hearts of hoodrats everywhere, hit the stage last night at the VMA’s twerking, in a teeny, tiny vinyl bikini. Cyrus’s controversial booty poppin’ shocked veteran actor Will Smith who brought along his two children (below).

Miley Cyrus Shocks MTV VMAs

After the slutty performance, corny comedian Kevin Hart joked, “Miley better get a pregnancy test after all that twerkin’.”

It’s a sad day in society when these young entertainers believe that trashy behavior sells far beyond dignified talent and performance.

Thanks to loyal Ceo reader Ashanti for the story because I’d never think twice to entertain a Miley “messy” Cyrus post.  🙂

White Colorado Senator Says “Blacks Are In Poverty Because They Eat Too Much Fried Chicken”

vicki-marble-fried-chicken

Colorado state Senator Vicki Marble, R-Fort Collins, has the cure for poverty in the Black community: Stop eating all that chicken!

According to the Denver Post, Marble said in her ignorant statement to the post:

“When you look at life expectancy, there are problems in the black race,” – “Sickle-cell anemia is something that comes up. Diabetes is something that’s prevalent in the genetic makeup, and you just can’t help it. Although I’ve got to say, I’ve never had better barbecue and better chicken and ate better in my life than when you go down South and you, I mean, I love it. Everybody loves it.”

Marble is a member of a task force which is what makes her remarks even more disturbing. The comments offended several legislators on the committee, including Rep. Rhonda Fields of Aurora, CO., who is Black.

“He’s just my baby daddy” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Baby_Mama_BD

Too many men are satisfied with fathering the child without the commitment of marriage, making this a modern-day trend. And too many women are willing to play cow-tow and assisting in this role.

Then he becomes the father of your child, whom you did not marry and with whom you are not currently involved. Yet he’s no longer involved with you, that is, if the two of you were ever really involved at all.

He’s moved on as guys always do and now he has that new title for the rest of his life as being your baby daddy. A term applied to those fathers of illegitimate children, children born outside of a married union.

He’s not your boyfriend or your husband, or even really your friend; he’s just the father of your child. The man whom you chose to co-parent this role with you, a sperm donor who took part in a clone.

The term baby daddy is ghettoized and the only thing you can call him because you’re not in a relationship with him.

Now comes the drama with your baby’s mama; she has all the rights and control over your kid/kids, you’re on child support because you just wouldn’t aid in the financial support for your kid, the fights are never-ending and the lists goes on.

Are these your issues and is this your story?

Join me tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah via “Conversations Live” as I discuss how to keep the baby mama and daddy drama at bay.

I’ll be taking your phone calls, feedback and opinions regarding this issues on the air at 1-347-426-3645, press “1” to speak to the host!

Magic Johnson Urges Gay Son to Say No to Reality TV

NBA legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson and his wife Cookie are urging their gay son, Earvin Johnson III, aka EJ, to say NO to reality TV shows.

E.J. came out of the closet in flamboyant style earlier this year when he was photographed with his reported boyfriend. Since then he has given interviews and updated his social media pages indicating his hope to be a voice for gay youth by starring in a reality TV show.

But not if his parents can help it.

Magic knows that his son’s lifestyle would embarass the hell out of he and his wife, if a television crew was following him around. I quite frankly don’t blame them, the boys life is already a window, they just want to ensure that he controls the shade.

The 21-year-old New York University junior came out to his parents when he was 13. But despite the media’s Gay Agenda and the prevailing gay-friendly winds of change, EJ claims he’s getting nasty emails containing threats.

Magic and Cookie want to protect EJ from the realities of his lifestyle choice, so they hope he takes their advice to continue to live his life to the fullest – just not on TV.
