“Conversations Of A Sistah” is Back!!!!

C

And we’re back with a vengeance…Happy New Year CEO Readers!!!

Conversations Of A Sistah” is back on “Conversations Live” beginning this Wednesday January 16, 2013 at 8:00 PM. I hope you’ll join me as I discuss the history, the format and the base of my show, which was and is derived from my book, “Conversations Of A Sistah” subtitle, “The Truth And The Myth About Praying For A Mate.”

For those of you who have read my story, you know that I deal with and address many topics and real issues. Our goal is to capture that same essence with the show. Most of my “show topics” and guest in 2012, highlighted several mentions and everyday issues we may deal with on a regular basis. In 2013, I hope to go deeper into the core of what’s to come.

Conversations Of A Sistah” is not a one-way conversation; I will always engage my audience of readers and listeners to chime in on my subjects as well. in addition this platform is not “for women only” either, we welcome and invite our gentlemen listeners/readers to participate too.

This year will be a milestone year for the book as it turns ten (10) years old in June, so to help me kick off the New Year of the show’s return; I invite you to send me your questions regarding the book or any of the subjects mentioned within. I also invite you to tell me what topics you would like me to “talk” about this year. You can send me your emails by emailing the show at conversationsofasistah@readywriterproductioncompany.com.

Tune in this Wednesday on my new night, same time (8:00 PM), as we kick off this year with more of the conversations, you’ll love to hear.

You can access the show here… “Conversation Of A Sistah” on Conversations Live. Or from any of the links in this post. Can’t wait to meet you on the air.   🙂

“A Double-life, Men living on the downlow!” This Thursday on Conversations Of A Sistah

down-low-brothers

They date women out in the open, some even marry to fit into society’s mole of expectancy, then have homosexual relationships on the side; this is considered as “men living on the down low”. Then you have those single men, who keep the company of women, claim them as girlfriends, talk about marriage but never marry, another strong possibility of a “man living on the down low”.

These men identify and “Front” as heterosexual, but have sex with men; some avoid sharing this information even if they have female sexual partners. Some people call it being slick but I call it being SICK!!!!

In today’s society, homosexuality is frowned upon as living in the norm. Man on man action is considered a perversion regardless of how many rights and privileges they fight to obtain. Due to these fighting issues and strong controversies, men who desire other men live the life of homosexuality behind closed doors. They keep this life a secret because as a “male friend” of mine recently said, “they don’t want to be ridiculed or judged due to the opinions and belief of others”. For this reason down low men don’t want to be under the radar or ostracized for being GAY, so they stay “in the closet” or down low.

Pictured here, is the beautiful Miss Ondrea L. Davis, author of the book, “How could my husband be GAY?” Ondrea, 35, is not only an author and speaker but the mother of three children, who has penned this inspirational true story; not only because her husband was gay but because she felt “this was an issue no one else wanted to talk about.”

Oh but on “Conversations Of A Sistah” we’re going to “talk about it!!!!” This will be an explosive conversation that you won’t want to miss!

Ondrea has expressed, that she will take whatever questions you may have for her regarding this topic for the show. In fact, Ondrea “welcomes your questions” those questions within reason, of course.

So tune into “Conversations Of A Sistah” this Thursday night, December 6, 2012 at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Live“.

As usual you can sound off here or send your questions to Ondrea for the show at conversationsofasistah@readywriterproductincompany.com

You can access the show at any of the “Conversation” links in this post or follow the link for my show segment here!

Side note: The photo of the two men (in bed) above, are in no way related to my guest mentioned in this post or the title of her book. The photo was randomly chosen for this post, to fit my topic for this week; point…blank…period!

Alex Hargrove (AKA Lexy) …is the winner of tonight’s trivia question and will recieve a complimentary copy of Ondrea Davis’ book, “How could my husband be GAY?”

Congratulations Alexis! And thank you for tuning in!

Dwayne Wade will release his new book: “Father First”

Two time NBA champ and Miami Heat star, Dwayne Wade shares his personal triumph and tribulations in his upcoming  memoir, A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball.

The father of two sons, Zaire & Zion, Wades book will be released on September 4, 2012 but it’s available for pre-order now at Amazon.

Although this book gives us insight into the mentors, coaches, and teammates who helped play a vital role in Dwayne Wade’s development as a star athlete, it also serves as a call-to-action to all parents to step up and be a part of their children’s lives.

Unbelieveable!!! I know some brothers who could use this book.

No I Haven’t seen Steve Harvey’s Movie “Think Like a Man”

My apologies for not seeing Steve Harvey’s movie based upon his best-selling novel, “Act Like A Lady but Think Like a Man”.

My girlfriend Joy-cee asked me “why she hadn’t seen my blog review regarding the movie” when I told her “I had no interest in seeing the film”. I also wanted to make reference to my reasoning here, since I’ve received so many emails from some of you inquiring as well.

I have nothing against Steve Harvey however, I’m selective about who I decide to hear relationship advice from, especially since Mr. Steve Harvey is twice divorced. And NO I haven’t read his book, nor was I too thrilled about his dating advice for single women during his promotional interviews.

So there you all have it. I never side with mass hysteria or run with the crowd for the latest sensation based upon popularity.

In the meantime Harvey’s movie is #1 in the country and that’s wonderful, I’m just not impressed, nor do I have an interest in seeing “Think Like a Man”.

Let’s turn the tables a bit, you tell me what you thought of the movie, if you’ve seen it? Sound off Ceo family.

Have a great day !!! 🙂
