“CT. KIller’s Girlfriend Shows Guilt”

Cops wanted Kristi Hannah to identify the blonde, shown on video tape receiving stolen beer from Omar Thornton.

Thornton who worked for the beer distributor, was confronted with that video tape with a choice to; resign or be fired. Thornton commented on the good quality of the video, chose to quit, then opened fire on his boss and co-workers with two 9mm pistols from a red metal lunchbox; before killing himself.

The video tape was shot in recent weeks after Thornton came under suspension for stealing beer from the distributors and selling it to a third-party. The company hired a private investigator and their suspensions were confirmed when the investigator caught Thornton on videotape handing off stolen beer to a woman.

Thornton had told Hannah, relatives and cops in a final 911 call that he was the victim of racial harassment at the company. Hannah said Thornton showed her cellphone photos of racist graffiti in the company men’s room.

But Hartford Distributors and the Teamsters union local that represented Thornton said, “He never made such a claim to them during his two years on the job.” State and federal agencies said, “They had never received a claim of racial bias against the company.”

Hartford Distributors owner Ross Hollander yesterday said, “When Thornton was hired, he “was embraced as a member of our team, and judged purely on the merits of his work performance.”

“Based on credible third-party information, we conducted a fair and thorough investigation, which provided conclusive evidence that Omar Thornton was systematically stealing from the company and selling to third parties”.

“It was this conduct that led to the disciplinary proceedings on Tuesday morning.”

In the meantime, I think Kristi Hannah might be afraid she’s the blonde on the tape.

“Former NBA Player Remembered”

Lorenzen Wright, former NBA player for the Cleveland Cavaliers, was remembered yesterday at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn., as a devoted family man with a love for his 6 children and a deep affection for his community.

Wright was last seen alive on July 18 leaving his ex-wife’s house in Memphis, later his dead body was found riddled with bullets in a wooded area in Memphis on July 28.

On July 19 a call was received from Wright’s cell phone at 1:00 a.m., the caller was speaking with the dispatcher when several gun shots rang out. Police have ruled his death a homicide and an investigation is ongoing.

Friends assist Sherra Wright (below), the grieving ex-wife of the slain NBA player, as she approaches the casket during a memorial service at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tenn. yesterday. Sherra’s home was searched by investigators on Sunday, they were focusing on a fire pit in her backyard.

Nearly six weeks before Wright was shot to death, Sherra claimed, she was confronted at her home by three gunmen who were looking for him. Fearing for her life if she spoke, she waited until Monday to tell the authorities of the incident. She has not been named a suspect in her ex-husband’s death.

“Employee Kills 8 Co-Workers, Then Himself”

Omar Thornton, pictured here, worked for a beer and wine distributor in Manchester, CT. Thornton opened fire on his boss and co-workers yesterday; after a meeting where he was confronted for stealing beer.

Thornton, 34, worked for several years at the company as a driver, and at a 7 a.m. meeting, he was shown videotapes of him stealing and offered the choice to quit or be fired.

Steve Hollander, whose family owns the business, said Thornton didn’t contest the accusation or get angry, but calmly chose to quit.

Several minutes later, Thornton got up and just started firing a handgun. He ran along a loading platform shooting some and sparing others.

Thornton shot himself in an office area after SWAT teams entered the building and closed in on him at about 9 a.m.

Thornton, in the 10-minute phone call with his mother, Lily, admitted he had just killed a bunch of people and was about to turn the gun on himself.

He said he was sorry and wanted to say goodbye. She pleaded with him to change his mind, to no avail.

“The last words he told his mother was that he loved her and that they just pushed him over the edge,” said Thornton’s cousin Annette Levine. “Omar has never been in trouble before. He has no criminal record.”

“The City Settles With Sean Bell’s Estate”

And boy did they get P.A.I.D.!!!

Nicole Paultre Bell and her children will receive 3.25 million in a wrongful death lawsuit against the city as apart of a wrongful death settlement.

As part of the $7 million settlement, the city will fork over $3.25 million to Bell’s family estate.

Bell’s friends, Joseph Guzman, 35, who was shot 11 times, will receive $3 million and Trent Benefield, 27, who was hit three times, will get $900,000.

They might not have received justice in this case but those settlement figures and amounts should surely give them some “peace”.

But the good right Reverend Al Sharpton chimed in with this statement: “They must all provide for their families, but this in no way mitigates or repairs the permanent damage done to them and the pain it has caused them forever”  – “Nor does it diminish the outrage in the community.”

Bell was gunned down outside the Club Kalua strip club in Queens on Nov. 25, 2006 on what was supposed to be his wedding day.

“Prominent CEO From Atlanta Killed By Cop”

DeFarra Gaymon, pictured above, lived in Montclair, NJ and was home for his 30 year class reunion.

Gaymon was the CEO of a credit union and returned to NJ as one of the organizer’s of his 30 year class reunion, which took place Friday July 16.

Essex County prosecutors said, Gaymon was unarmed when he was shot in the chest by an undercover detective.

Supposedly, the undercover officer (whose name is not being released), was dispatched to the scene after complaints about sexual activity in Branch Brook Park. An area in the park known for homosexual activity.

According to the detective, who has not yet made an official statement to investigators, Gaymon was involved in an illicit act in public and ran when told, he was under arrest.

Gaymon who was married with 2 daughters and 2 sons and reside in Atlanta, was unarmed.

The undercover detective who shot unarmed Gaymon, was treated at University hospital and medicated due to trauma. Sounds fishy to me.

The investigation into last Friday’s shooting is ongoing, as Gaymon’s family seek answers for such a tragic turn of events.
