Centino Kemp (pictured on the left), one of five young men to come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct against Bishop Eddie Long just announced that he has finished with his book about the long ordeal…

Centino Kemp gives you an in-depth look into the pain, sorrow, trials, and triumphs of his first twenty-two years on this earth, and how he ultimately came to be known as his lovers “First Lady”.

“The First Lady” is the life story of Centino Kemp. A talented young man born in the Bahamas, it explores Kemp’s upbringing in a highly Christian family.

As a youth, he longs to find closeness with his family that is sorely missing, all while coping with the absence of his father. Centino’s adverse relationships with the male figures in his life or lack of, combined with the in and out role of his mother’s presence while in his adolescence, led to his struggles with his own sexuality. Then at the tender age of sixteen, Centino heads to the United States to attend a University in Florida. Alone in this new country, minus guidance or a nurturing figure, Centino is seduced by a powerful religious figure who becomes not only the father figure he never had, but also his lover for six very long and intense years.

His soul becomes tortured as he forced to deal with a realm of emotions and situations he never thought he would ever encounter. In this story of love, lust, power, extravagant living, travel, betrayal, deceit, rape, down-low homosexual lifestyle, molestation, church corruption, secret societies, suicide attempts and religion.

Stay tuned, Centino Kemps book will be coming to a book store near you.

The Reason For The Season…Is Christmas commercialized?

Christmas_Wallpaper_Presents-1

Jesus is the real reason for the Christmas season, yet we get all caught up in the price tag of gifts, the gift giving, the crowded stores, shopping and the excitement this season bring. But do we pause to give thanks? Thanks for family, friends, life, health, strength and all things being possible.

Do we realize that Christmas is a celebration of the birth of Christ? Christ was born because God had an ultimate plan for man. Do we realize that He (Jesus Christ) was the real gift to man?

Join me this Thursday December 20th at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” for my last show of the year, where I will expound on the topic: “Is Christmas commercialized?”.

You can send us your emails at: conversationsofasistah@readywriterproductioncompany.com and tell us if you “keep Christ” in Christmas?

New Birth Crowns Bishop Eddie Long As King!

Bishop Eddie Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist church brought in a controversial “Rabbi” to crown Long as King in an elaborate Jewish ceremony using what appeared to be a fake 300-year-old sacred scrolls, that were found discarded outside of a concentration camp in Germany in the early 1940s.

The Rabbi who performed the show of support for Bishop Long, is not even jewish:

Messer is a proponent of so-called Messianic Judaism, a religious movement founded in the 1960s that wraps evangelical Christian theology in Jewish cultural trappings.

Put simply, it’s a Christian movement. Messer is a Christian minister.

And despite Messer’s claim to be acting “on behalf of the Jewish people and the land of Israel,” there’s nothing Jewish about the performance he put on at Long’s church. Neither the ritual nor the language of Messer’s act have any basis in Jewish traditions, while his repeated references to the divinity of Jesus and quotations from the Christian bible make his actual theology clear.

Also, the “priceless” Torah scroll Messer wraps Long in is almost certainly a fake. As you can see at 5:15 in the video, the thing is held together with scotch tape.

Oh, and one more tip for “Rabbi” Messer, if he’s reading this. The name of the Nazi concentration camp where you claim you found that scroll? It’s Auschwitz-Birkenau, not “Auschwitz and Birkendal.”

Eddie Long supporters/followers are doing everything in their power to make him look innocent, holy and consecrated, without an admission of guilt or repentance from the Bishop. What’s so very scary about this performance is, New Birth is lifting up man and not God.

The Bible clearly states: “If I (meaning God) be lifted up from the earth, I’ll draw all men unto me” (John 12:32). It’s important to know the TRUTH people because the enemy is fooling the very elect.

I Saw “Joyful Noise” This Weekend

And if you like going to church for the drama of the choir, the songs and entertainment, then this movie is for you!

The place: a Georgia town, deep in poverty. The characters: the Pacashau Sacred Divinity Choir. The occasion: Just as the choir leader dies of a heart attack, the annual gospel choir competition is approaching. Two strong women are in competition for the job of choir director. Vi Rose Hill (Queen Latifah) and G.G. Sparrow (Dolly Parton). Pastor Dale (Courtney B. Vance) gives Vi Rose the position, although G.G. is the widow of the former director and believes she should have inherited the honor.

The choir is not a large choir, but small (most of them pictured here above), with most of its members looking typecast. It’s a small church, but has plenty of empty seats during services. (Cutting corners on extras?) It is completely racially integrated, which I believe is not that common even in modern Georgia. The film has almost no specifically spiritual content; the purpose of the choir is not to praise God but to win contests.

The music in this film is partly secular but inspiring.

I thought the movie was okay, Queen Latifah’s role was strong but looking at Dolly Parton made my eyes hurt., she looked plastic from the chin up.

“Joyful Noise,” is a squeaky-clean pop-gospel fairy tale with a happy ending., which I thought was a bit unrealistic. If you decide to see it, you be the judge.

Eddie Long’s New Birth Christian Academy Closes

Bishop Eddie Long’s New Birth Christian Academy is closing its doors after 18 years in operation. I guess this all apart of “God’s operation and the Eddie Long empire shut down”.

The private school’s 200 students learned about the school closing in a letter sent home to their parents and signed by Carlton Donald, the board’s vice-chair.

The school’s tuition ranged from $5,253 for New Birth members to $6,198 for non-members, according to the Atlanta Journal.

The school’s closing is just another step toward the dismantling of Eddie Long’s church empire in Atlanta. The church has laid off staff after losing hundreds of members since Long settled a sexual coercion case filed against him by four former New Birth members who were heterosexual and gay.

Additionally, Bernice King, daughter of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, stepped down as a church elder in May. And 10 former parishioners filed a $1 million lawsuit against Long and the church alleging they lost their life savings in an investment scam.

Long, who temporally stepped down as the church’s senior pastor this month, reportedly used the school as a hunting ground for young males to satisfy his sexual appetite. In court documents, Long was accused of coercing the young men with Bible passages and plying at least two of the boys with cash, trips, gifts and cars to loosen their sexual inhibitions.

Earlier this month, the embattled preacher’s long-suffering wife, Vanessa, announced she was filing for divorce.
