Update: 1 Percent Tip Story a Hoax!

 New developments suggest that the receipt (shown above) from the restaurant in CA may have been digitally altered.

According to the website the Smoking Gun, True Food Kitchen’s spokesperson said it found the original merchant copy of the receipt, and the one circulating the Internet was “altered and exaggerated.” The original receipt does not contain the tip “Get a real job.” Also, the real bill was for $33, not $133, and the tip given was $7.33, not $1.33.

Because the story outraged so many readers, the restaurant owner was determined to get to the truth of the matter.

Usually a tip should be 5 percent or 20 percent of your bill and some restaurants will automatically add it to a party of 8 people or more.

Apparently this wasn’t the case when a wealthy banker left a $1.33 tip on a $133 lunch bill at the True Food Kitchen restaurant in Newport Beach, California. To add insult to injury the word “tip” was circled on the receipt, and the banker wrote “get a real job” on the bill.

A picture of the receipt was taken and uploaded by a person who was dining with the anonymous banker. The person wrote, “mention the 99% in my boss’ presence and feel his wrath. So proudly does he wear his 1% badge of honor that he tips exactly 1% every time he feels the server doesn’t sufficiently bow down to his holiness.”

Do you all remember some time ago, in Washington state, when a waitress received a tip of no money and advice scrawled on the receipt that told her she could “stand to lose a few pounds.” That message was not only rude and ignorant, but how did the advice to the waitress tie into the person being served? How did her weight prevent her from doing her job?

Regardless of a person’s profession, looks, weight or otherwise, they should always be respected and appreciated when a service is rendered.

Here’s The Real Reason Aretha Franklin Was a “No-Show” at Whitney’s Funeral

According to media reports, Whitney Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston was not pleased with the comments Aretha Franklin made about Whitney Houston on the Today Show the day before her funeral…

The Queen of Soul’s spokeswoman strenuously denied that Franklin missed Whitney Houston’s funeral on Saturday afternoon because she angered the late singer’s mother, Cissy Houston. But insisted instead, that the “Queen of soul” was absent at Whitney’s funeral due to leg spasms.

Yet sources and all reviews note that, the “Queen of soul” was just fine on Saturday night when she performed the second of two sold out concerts at Radio City Music Hall.

An insider also tells us that Franklin, who paid tribute to Houston during her concert was even feeling well enough to entertain 40 of her friends at the Ritz Carlton hotel on Central Park South after Saturday’s show.

The eyewitness says Franklin, sporting a curly blond hairstyle, arrived on the arm of her on-again, off-again fiance William Wilkerson. The group dined on steak and shrimp, and our source says, “It looked like everyone was having a great time.”

Franklin’s rapid recovery gives credence to the buzz that her absence from Houston’s funeral had to do with comments she made during an interview she taped with Al Roker. And although the interview is no longer available online Aretha made the following statements…

“Parents have to really talk to their children before they leave home,” Franklin told Roker. “They have to make sure when they leave home, they have all the right things.

She left home with all the right things, but she just kind of lost her way along the way.”

Franklin also denied she was Houston’s godmother, as the media has reported, but rather an “honorary aunt.”

CNN Suspends Roland Martin because of ‘His Tweet’

CNN has apparently caved in to pressure from gay groups by suspending political analyst Roland Martin for making a joke about British soccer star David Beckham.

A CNN spokeswoman confirmed the suspension with this statement issued today:

“Roland Martin’s tweets were regrettable and offensive. Language that demeans is inconsistent with the values and culture of our organization, and is not tolerated. We have been giving careful consideration to this matter, and Roland will not be appearing on our air for the time being.”

Martin came under attack from gay groups after tweeting a wisecrack about Beckham’s underwear commercial which aired during Sunday’s Super Bowl telecast on NBC.

Martin seemed to suggest in his tweet that his followers “smack the ish out of” any male Super Bowl fan who is “hyped about David Beckham’s H&M underwear ad.”

Martin added that “real bruhs” would not purchase underwear advertised by Beckham.

A network suspension is usually the first step towards a contract termination. Martin was a CNN political analyst for 4 years and ths is so unfortuante because I like him.

Halle Berry Is Finding Out That, Drama Comes In All Colors

Since being done with black men, actress Halle Berry decided to date and procreate with GQ male model, Gabriel Aubry. Since Halle’s romantic relationship with Aubry ended, they’ve been experiencing all kinds of parental drama being played out in a court of law.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services, is recommending that Halle Berry’s ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, have an adult present when he has custody of his daughter, Nahla, Radar Online reports exclusively.

The decision comes just two weeks after Halle’s former nanny filed a police report alleging that Aubry assaulted her while she was holding Nahla.

“Social workers have recommended that Halle maintain primary custody of Nahla,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “Nahla spends most of her time with her mother. DCFS has also made a new recommendation that Gabriel not be alone with Nahla.

“Case workers are recommending that a nanny be present with Gabriel during his visitation times. Halle’s nanny had been with Nahla when Gabriel had his custodial time from noon until she went to sleep. However, after the alleged incident between the nanny and Gabe, that hasn’t been in place, and he has been alone with Nahla.

“It will be up to the judge to implement the recommendations. Gabriel is fighting having another person with him, he feels that Halle is trying to make his time with their daughter as uncomfortable as possible,” the insider says.

The report also recommends Halle and Aubry attend child parenting classes together.

Newt Gingrich Said: Poor Kids Have No Habits Of Working

Translation: Black and hispanic kids in this country have lazy parents who don’t work, therefore they have no work ethics instilled in them at a young age.

Gingrich may be the top runner for the republican party but the words coming out of his mouth are just as stupid, ignorant, lopsided, prejudice and misinformed as he is.

Children born into poverty aren’t accustomed to working unless it involves crime, really poor children, in really poor neighborhoods have no habits of working and have nobody around them who works so they have no habit of showing up on Monday morning”.

“They have no habit of staying all day, they have no habit of I do this and you  give me cash unless it is illegal.

The former House Speaker even implied that poor children’s only hope, is to aspire to be a prostitute, drug dealer or pimp! Gingrich even suggested that schools fire janitors and replace them with working class students.

The republican party has a bunch of ignorant clowns to choose from to run against President Barack Obama, making the prospects for a second term extremely promising.
