“Aaron Henry From Harlem Created The DooRag With Velcro”

The 34-year-old Harlem native, was tired of wearing a ‘do-rag that left him with headaches and marks on his forehead, commonly created by tying the strings too tightly. So Henry created the “stringless ‘do-rag,” which now uses a snag-free Velcro to secure it.

He calls his creation the TsuRag.

“My goal with the TsuRag was to come up with a new way to maintain your hair,” Henry told the Daily News. “I want them to feel a sense of relief” since do-rag’s can be uncomfortable around the forehead.

Henry says “his new rag leaves no marks and can be worn right up until the moment before a big meeting or interview.”

“I want them to put it on and know that it’s doing its job without compromising their appearance” said Henry, who grew up on W. 141st St. near Lenox Ave. “It’s truly designed to maintain your ‘do.”

The TsuRag (do-rag) officially launches today and will be sold online at TsuRag.com .

So let’s support this new entrepeneur people. The website is hot!!!!

“Jay-Z Can’t Be Real With The Brooklyn Nets?”

Rap mogul Jay Z continues to make smart business moves to apparently fatten his financial portfolio.

The 42-year-old NBA minority owner held a press conference this morning to announce the team’s name change from New Jersey Nets to Brooklyn Nets, which doesn’t even sound right.

He also annnounced that he would be performing 8 concerts to welcome the newly renamed team to its new home at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

In an effort to draw the big corporate money to Brooklyn, the team also announced it’s selling “all-access” passes to the team’s VIP lounge. The VIP passes, which can be yours for only $15,400 a pop — will also give you backstage access to Jay Z’s 8 concerts. Not bad for $15K.

Oh well, I guess I’ll be watching the Nets from my home screen from now on.

“Women Defends Naming Her Restaurant -> Fat Ho Burger”

Lakita Evans is keeping the name of her new burger joint despite the growing protests from civic-minded people who say the name “Fat Ho Burgers” is offensive to a small segment of society.

Evans says that people are offended by the name simply because they aren’t familiar with urban slang. “It’s not calling people a ho. It’s just like they say, ‘Oooh that ho is big,’ or, ‘That ho is tight!” she told Fox News.

In the black community, the term “ho” is freely applied to people not things., and other local business owners are not in agreement with the name.

They think the 23-year-old is just using the name as a publicity stunt to draw attention to her business.

Pastor Marsha Martie, owner of the nearby Gospel Cafe, said: “[It] would’ve been nice to think a little more sensitively.”

But Evans, who tips the scales at over 200 lbs herself, says people should be more concerned with what’s going on in the world rather than the name of her burger joint.

“Look what’s going on in Japan. It’s like clear this world is not gonna get any better. Why cry and be depressed? The economy is bad. Somebody gotta keep a sense of humour around here,” she said.

“This African American Pioneer Knows Luxury”

And she exemplifies and defines her business attributes with much delight.

Cherina Hamilton (pictured above), is creator and proprietor, of New York Luxuries; an online candle based business she launched a little over a  year ago. Ms. Hamilton is into creating candles used of her own impressions and customized to your needs and like.

Below is the candle I received from New Luxuries for Christmas and not only is it made in many shades of my favorite color (purple), but it smells divine. The candle is so beautiful and smells so good, I don’t want to burn it.

New York Luxuries has many fragrances that are custom-made, you pick the scents and the colors; and the candle will be created to your liking.

Cherina’s personalized candles and business motto is “For Diva’s Who Love To Be Pampered“.

Be patient with this new entrepreneur as she is still working out the shipping details of her goods.
