“Aaron Henry From Harlem Created The DooRag With Velcro”

The 34-year-old Harlem native, was tired of wearing a ‘do-rag that left him with headaches and marks on his forehead, commonly created by tying the strings too tightly. So Henry created the “stringless ‘do-rag,” which now uses a snag-free Velcro to secure it.

He calls his creation the TsuRag.

“My goal with the TsuRag was to come up with a new way to maintain your hair,” Henry told the Daily News. “I want them to feel a sense of relief” since do-rag’s can be uncomfortable around the forehead.

Henry says “his new rag leaves no marks and can be worn right up until the moment before a big meeting or interview.”

“I want them to put it on and know that it’s doing its job without compromising their appearance” said Henry, who grew up on W. 141st St. near Lenox Ave. “It’s truly designed to maintain your ‘do.”

The TsuRag (do-rag) officially launches today and will be sold online at TsuRag.com .

So let’s support this new entrepeneur people. The website is hot!!!!

Ghetto IS what GHETTO does. Depends on how you wear your style.

  2. Although I would not support this guy for is “invention,” I support him for thinking outside of the box, trying not to get caught up in living in ‘this system’ of 9 to 5, answering to a Boss’ way of living.

Yes well, atleast he is taking the first step in trying to make legal money. People have to start somewhere. Good luck to him. For those who feel his market will be limited, I doubt it since many other cultures are emulating us Black folks.

  3. FYI People:
The do-rag is worn to keep hair neat and smooth when the hair is cut already or braided. Men and women wear do-rags and so do many non Black people, they aren’t thugs either. Many people sleep in their do rags to keep their hair-do’s in shape I forgot White women wear them too, they don’t call them do-rags but its for the same purpose. Try asking a person who is wearing a do-rag why they wear one, they’ll explain it to you. Instead of making idiotic assumptions or posting hateful words. Then again that trait is in the DNA of some these ceo posters.
