NY Mayor De Blasio OK’s Rabbi’s Bizarre Circumcision Ritual

DeBlas_Rabbi

NY Mayor Bill De Blasio made good on a campaign promise to NY’s Jewish leaders allowing rabbis to continue a bizarre circumcision ritual that caused 16 cases of Herpes infection in baby boys.

The ritual, called Metzitzah B’Peh, involves a rabbi — called a “mohel” — performing circumcisions on a baby boy, then using their mouths to suck the blood from the baby’s penis.

NY health officials say 2 of the 16 babies died from complications caused by Herpes, and 2 more boys suffered brain damage.

During his campaign, De Blasio promised to lift a regulation that required parents to sign a form giving their mohel permission to perform the ritual circumcision. But Jewish leaders decried the regulation as an affront to their religion.

According to The New York Observer, only one family turned in a form to the health department since the regulation was put into place.

Al Sharpton, Law and order, Lawsuits

The Rev. Al Sharpton Is Not Having a Good Week!

Sharpton_Al

First Eric Gardner’s daughter Erica, went on camera exposing the founder of NAN (The National Action Network), as “Being all about the money“. Erica, whose father was the chokehold victim by Staten Island police, also complained that the Staten Island director of Sharpton’s National Action Network, Cynthia Davis, scolded her for handing out street fliers about her father’s case that did not include NAN’s logo.

Now in another bombshell revelation about the good right Rev. Al Sharpton, The National Association of African-American Owned Media claims, Comcast paid Sharpton and his National Action Network a cool $3.8 million dollars — so that he wouldn’t complain about the lack of black cable TV programming.

The Cable giant is suing Sharpton siting, that the activist would keep his $750,000-a-year gig as host on MSNBC which it co-owns even as his ratings slump and his ratings are slumping. However Sharpton was paid cash donations in exchange for not screaming about Comcast lack of solely black-owned channels.

The lawsuit — decrying the proposed merger between Comcast and Time Warner — said that Comcast carries just one completely black-owned channel, The Africa Channel, and that Time Warner is no better.

The group’s allegations of payouts also factor in Sharpton’s TV salary, which he has been receiving since starting to host MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” in 2011, the suit says.

Sharpton says, “the lawsuit is frivolous at best” but it seems he’s made a lot of enemies on his ride to easy street.

The DOJ will “NOT” Charge Zimmerman For Killing Trayvon Martin

While we all await and hold our breath for Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department on two separate investigations, one sparked by the summer shooting of an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, the department is going to first announce its findings in the killing of Trayvon Martin.

According to ABC News the Justice Department will not be filing charges against the self-appointed neighborhood watchman George Zimmerman for the killing of the unarmed teen.

Although it seems Martin was killed like yesterday, Thursday marks three years to the day since Trayvon was killed. Federal prosecutors concluded there is not enough sufficient evidence to prove Zimmerman, of Sanford, Fla., intentionally violated Martin’s civil rights, sources told ABC News.

In Sanford, race-related tensions had been simmering for nearly a century, but Martin’s death “was the proverbial ‘straw that broke the camel’s back,’” bringing “those issues to the surface,” the new Sanford police chief, Cecil Smith, recently told federal officials.

Privately and publicly, Justice Department officials have been telegraphing all along that they were unlikely to file charges against Zimmerman.

How disappointing, I’m glad Attorney General Eric Holder is resigning, yes he needs to hit the road! Seems he failed to see the obvious handwriting on the wall.
