Man who dismembered his mother and scattered her body parts throughout the Bronx took photos holding her decapitated head

A man who dismembered his mother and scattered her body parts around the Bronx, took pictures of himself holding her severed head before disposing of her body, the NY Post reports.

Bahsid McLean, 23, confessed to the gruesome murder of his own mother, Tanya Byrd, who was the only caretaker of her 6-year-old Down syndrome son.

Police say the grinning psycho used a power saw to cut up his mother, then posed with parts of her body in grisly photos that he wanted as keepsakes. McLean and a friend, William Harris, 26, then stuffed Byrd’s body into several black garbage bags and a suitcase. They drove around the Bronx dumping Byrd’s remains like trash.

“He’s definitely sick,” a law enforcement source told the NY Post. Surveillance video from a hardware store shows McLean and his accomplice purchasing a brand new power saw and a refill blade with cash.

The saw and the blade were later found in a  box in the home McLean shared with his mother and 6-year-old mentally disabled brother.

Friends described Byrd as a loving mother and caretaker to her Down syndrome son.

Police told the Post McLean killed his mother because she “wanted him to grow up and move out and be a man.”

Mississippi town stunned by murder of openly gay mayoral candidate Marco McMillian

mcmillian1n-1-web
Marco McMillian was considered by many to be a man on the rise. The first openly gay mayoral candidate’s body was found near a Mississippi River levee Wednesday morning and stunned residents of his hometown in Clarksdale, Miss.  Authorities are investigating McMillian’s death as a homicide but declined to speculate on the cause of death. Authorities have also said a person of interest was in custody, but released no other details about his murder.

McMillian was a highly respected person in town, the 34-year-old Democrat wasn’t running what many would consider a typical campaign for political office in Mississippi, which is known for its conservative politics.

McMillian, was not only nice looking but he was promising. He had forged ties while serving four years as international executive director of the historically black Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Photos on McMillian’s website and Facebook page show him with a younger Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and with U.S. Rep. John Lewis, a Georgia Democrat.

Authorities had been looking for McMillian since Tuesday morning when a man crashed the candidate’s SUV into another vehicle on U.S. Highway 49. McMillian was not in the car.

McMillian was hoping to win the office being vacated by Mayor Henry Espy Jr.

My Favorite Pioneers in History, Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Female_Pioneer

Harriet Tubman led her people to freedom through the underground railroad. I was always fascinated by her story because she would move her people by night and in the middle of the night. she had code references of how she operated her underground railroad that were only known to other slaves. Harriet Tubman was only about five feet tall, but she was smart and she was strong — and she carried a long rifle. She used the rifle not only to intimidate pro-slavery people they might meet, but also to keep any of the slaves from backing out. She threatened any of them who seemed like they were about to leave, telling them that “dead Negroes tell no tales.” A slave who returned from one of these trips could betray too many secrets: who had helped, what paths the flight had taken, how messages were passed. This woman was bad and she was bold!!! My favorite saying of hers was; “I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger”.

Diana Ross a legend of her time who was first lead singer of the sixties girl group “The Supreme’s” before branching out as a solo singer and actress. Ross had such hits as; “Touch me in the morning” “Upside Down” and my all-time favorite “I’m coming out”. Ross starred in such films as; “Mahogany” which launched a fashion and makeup line, “Lady Sings The Blues” and Motown’s makeover and Broadway production of “The Wiz”.

My favorite athlete of all time is Michael Jordan. Jordan was the best of the best. After a three-season career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the Tar Heels’ national championship team in 1982, Jordan joined the NBA’s Chicago Bulls in 1984. He quickly emerged as a league star, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping ability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line in slam dunk contests, earned him the nicknames “Air Jordan” and “His Airness“. These young cats in the NBA today like LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade and Dwight Howard ain’t got nothing on Jordan compared to his game.

Eddie Murphy my favorite comedian, I must’ve seen “The Klumps” and “Beverly Hills Cops” a thousand times, I was so impressed with the artistic talent Murphy displayed in these movies. Tyler Perry an actor of this generation who has become a successful playwright, actor and movie director. Perry have many plays turned movies under his belt such as; “I can do bad all by myself” “Diary of a mad black woman” and “Madea goes to jail”. Both Murphy and Perry have been innovative in the roles and characters they’ve created.

And my all time favorite philanthropist, politician and actors are Colin Powell, Tom Joyner and Denzel Washington of course.

Powell, who has recently been disowned by his own political party for addressing the old and bold prejudices they (the republicans) have against the current administration, holding office in the White house. An administration Powell ultimately supported. A retired four star general in the United States Army, Powell was the first, and so far the only, African-American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and was the first of two consecutive African-American office-holders to hold the key Administration position of U.S. Secretary of State.

Tom Joyner of the “Tom Joyner” morning show and also founder of REACH Media Inc., the Tom Joyner Foundation, and BlackAmericaWeb.com. Joyner also founded The Tom Joyner Foundation to provide financial assistance to students at historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Since 1998, it has raised more than $60 million dollars to help keep students enrolled at HBCUs. The Tom Joyner Foundation also hosts an annual cruise named the Fantastic Voyage which also raises money for HBCU’s.

Denzel Washington who has recently made it known how he doesn’t have any white actors as friends. Denzel is the heart-throb of many and the Flight actor told a British newspaper that he doesn’t spend  much time with his celebrity peers.

“Even within the industry, I don’t have any actor friends. My friends are old  friends,” Washington, 58, admitted. “One’s an ex-music guy, the other’s a  restaurant owner and the other’s an ex-pro ballplayer.”

Old friends keep you grounded. Washington who has many movie roles under his belt, has starred in such movies as; “Malcolm X” “Ricochet” “Mo Better Blues” “Training Day” “The Book of Eli” and “Glory” just to name a few. Aside from his talents and good looks, Denzel is both down to earth and grounded.

Janet Jackson, who famously kept her marriage to Rene’ Elizondo a secret many moons ago, just announced she and billionaire Wissam Al Mana have been married since last year…

Janet tells ET Online

“The rumours regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true. Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.”

“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities. We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”

Pastor Jamal Bryant rebukes EBONY for accusing him of impregnating a minor

Pastor_Jamal_Bryant_457x382

Pastor Jamal Bryant (pictured above) wrote an open letter to EBONY magazine, rebuking them for accusing him of impregnating a teenage member of his congregation.

Bryant, a single father of 3 beautiful daughters, admitted that he cheated on his wife in an open letter to EBONY titled “Pastor Jamal Bryant Rebukes EBONY”.

“In 2007 I participated in an extramarital affair that resulted ultimately in the termination of my marriage to my incredible wife Gizelle,” he wrote. “NO minors were involved but my minor children have been affected.” Not what is known and what’s rumored; the word swirling on the religious roster in Baltimore is, Pastor Bryant indeed impregnated a woman in his congregation maybe not a minor at the time but a young parishioner in his church.

Bryant went on to call the accusation that he slept with a minor, “categorically and completely untrue.”

Pastor Bryant writes:

For 67 years Ebony Magazine has been the drum beat for culture in the African-American community. John Johnson its beloved founder dedicated his life to safe guarding our image with great integrity.

The March 2013 edition has left a hole in my heart. On page 124 they published that it’s alleged I impregnated a 17-year-old member of my church. This accusation is categorically and completely untrue. To publish this with absolutely no source lends itself to reckless endangerment to my children, my congregation and my community.

Ebony is not the National Enquirer. A higher standard is required and the statement jeopardizes my ministry to the youth in my church and community. So it is on moral grounds that a retraction is necessary.

In 2007 I participated in an extramarital affair that resulted ultimately in the termination of my marriage to my incredible wife Gizelle. NO minors were involved but my minor children have been affected. I don’t want them to have to live through any further unnecessary pain.

Matthew 18:15 say’s if your brother has sinned against you go and tell him his fault. I solicit your continued prayers for my family, forgiveness for myself and accountability from Ebony magazine.

Flawed but faithful. I remain,

Jamal- Harrison Bryant (A Father and Pastor)
