Michael Dunn (pictured above) was sentenced to life in prison (without parole), after being convicted of first-degree murder for fatally shooting Jordan Davis outside a Jacksonville convenience store.

Dunn tried to stand behind the “Stand your ground” law but the life sentence imposed by Circuit Judge Russell Healey was mandatory for the 47-year-old cold-blooded killer, since prosecutors decided not to seek the death penalty.

“Mr. Dunn, your life is effectively over,” Healey said. “What is sad … is that this case exemplifies that our society seems to have lost its way.”

Evidence showed that Dunn, of Satellite Beach, fired the shots during a heated argument over the volume of music coming from the SUV carrying Davis and three other teenagers. Dunn was convicted of three counts of second-degree murder in his first trial because he continued to fire into the Dodge Durango as the driver tried to flee. Healey on Friday sentenced him to a minimum of 60 years in prison for those charges, to be served consecutively with the life sentence.

Supporters of Jordan Davis and his family filled rows of the courtroom, and many broke into tears, sometimes sobs, as his parents and other family members told Healey how devastating his death had been.

Davis’ mother, Lucia McBath said she always taught her son to love and to forgive.

“Therefore, I too must be willing to forgive and so I choose to forgive you Mr. Dunn for taking my son’s life,” McBath said in court.

Jordan Davis’ father, Ronald Davis, spoke tearfully of holding his son when he was born, then kissing his body one last time at the hospital the night of his death.

“I gave him his first kiss when he came into this world and I could never have imagined giving him his last kiss,” Davis said. “Our family has lost the biggest and the brightest smile of all of us.”

Barney’s agrees to pay $525K for profiling black customers

Barney’s New York has agreed to pay $525,000 in fees and penalties for racially profiling two Barney’s customers.

The settlement was reached after a nine-month investigation by the New York state attorney general’s office.

The investigation was launched after college student Trayon Christian and nursing student Kayla Phillips were stopped by Barney’s employees in separate incidents after the students purchased expensive items from the New York flagship store.

Trayon said he was accused of theft by a N.Y.P.D. cop after he purchased a $359 Ferragamo belt with a debit card. And Kayla said she was harassed when she bought a $2,500 Céline bag from the same store.

Both have filed lawsuits against the store and the N.Y.P.D. for violating their civil rights.

From Huffington Post:

Investigators reviewed a series of complaints from Barneys customers and former employees, who claimed that door guards would exclusively single out minority customers and that in-store detectives would follow these customers as they walked around. Some salespeople tried not to work with minority shoppers to avoid the hassle of being roped into investigations about them, the complaints alleged.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman’s office found that a “disproportionate number” of black and Latino customers had been detained at Barneys on suspicion of shoplifting or credit card fraud. It concluded that Barneys lacked the proper “comprehensive written policies” to curb racial profiling.

“Profiling and racial discrimination remain a problem in our state, but not one we are willing to accept,” Schneiderman said in a statement. “This agreement will correct a number of wrongs, both by fixing past policies and monitoring the actions of Barneys and its employee to make sure that past mistakes are not repeated.”

White House expects Speaker Boehner to file for IMPEACHMENT

U.S. Representative John Bohner is expected to try and impeach President Barack Obama for abuse of power and criminal acts against the Constitution of the United States.

Dan Pfeiffer, a senior aide to Obama, told reporters that he expects a lawsuit to be filed by House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).

Pfeiffer said that “coming executive actions surrounding immigration reform” would only stoke the fires of impeachment.

Pfeiffer got the jump on Boehner by informing the media of Boehner’s intentions.

“I think that Speaker Boehner, by going down this path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some point in the future.”

In a statement to the Huffington Post today, Boehner’s office reacted with acrimony to Pfeiffer’s “political games”:

We have a humanitarian crisis at our border, and the White House is making matters worse with inattention and mixed signals. It is telling, and sad, that a senior White House official is focused on political games, rather than helping these kids and securing the border.

Impeachment is a 2 stage process. The first step involves a hearing to rule on the criminal charges. The 2nd step involves removal from office which requires a majority vote. The last president to be impeached was Bill Clinton in 1998. But the Senate did not have enough votes to remove Clinton from office.

If Obama’s Impeachment is successful, he would be the first biracial/mixed president to be impeached in presidential history.

Former ‘teacher gets 38 YEARS in prison’ for having sex with a boy, 12, during tutoring sessions in her home

Anderson wept in court as she claimed that she was not a threat to society and was not a predator - but her victim's mother and the judge disagreed

This Ethel Anderson (pictured crying) is a nasty heifer! And was found guilty of having sex with a 12-year-old student she had been tutoring and has been sentenced to 38 years in prison.

Judge Chet Tharpe told Anderson in court that she manipulated the boy’s parents into believing he was safe with her while she was actually grooming the child for sex. Anderson was charged with nine counts of molesting a student after it was discovered that she was having sex with a boy who was 12-years-old at the time.

Anderson had denied the charges but her victim, now 14, took the stand in September to testify that the alleged abuse  started four or five weeks into their tutoring sessions when she would kiss him and perform oral sex on him in her home.

He told the court: ‘I felt like she was a girlfriend, I loved her and she said that I was her boyfriend and she loved me. ‘She would rub on my legs, kiss on my ears, neck and stuff like that… We would tongue kiss.’

The boy also told the court that he did not want to lose his virginity to a teacher and would tell her to stop, but she persisted because she ‘wanted him so bad’, ABC reports.

Then to further support the boys claims,  230 pages of racy text messages were revealed, when Anderson claimed they were just sexual therapy sessions that she was using on the ‘troubled student’ to motivate him.

The former ‘teacher of the year’, from Riverside, Florida, who has a six-year-old child, told the judge today she is not a sexual predator and not a risk to society according to Fox.

But the boy’s mother showed no signs of forgiveness.

‘Anger and hatred don’t even begin to explain how I feel about what you took from my son,’ the boy’s mother said in a statement read at the sentencing by prosecutors.

‘His innocence is lost forever.’

Conrad Murray Released From Jail After Serving two years…

The doctor who administered the fatal dose of propofol that killed the “king of pop” was released from a Los Angeles County jail after serving just two years of a 4 year sentence due to over crowding. At 12:01 AM this morning Murray slipped out of the L.A. county jail and into obscurity to reclaim his life and catch up with his family.

Murray, 60, who served as Jackson’s personal physician, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2009.

The coroner determined Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication; propofol is a powerful surgical anesthetic that Conrad was using to treat the singer’s insomnia. Jackson also had Valium, Ativan and Versed in his system, The Associated Press reported.

“I will restart my life and, God willing, I will be a model to show the world that despite adversity, and when bad things happen to good people, they can restart their life and succeed,” Murray said.

Katherine Jackson and the Jackson clan are all upset that Conrad Murray has been released after serving just two years behind bars. They’re hope is that he never practices medicine again.
