“Cop Who Killed Pace University Student Honored”

Officer Aaron Hess, a Westchester County cop who fatally shot Pace University football player, DanRoy Henry, has been named Officer of the Year by The Pleasantville Policeman Benevolent Association.

Ain’t this a bitch? So basically this cops benevolent association saw fit to honor this man/cop for killing a young black college athlete. They’re sending a message basically saying: This young black life didn’t mean shit to us, so to hell with him, his parents, his love ones and friends. To hell with their feelings!!!! We are the law and it’s okay when we kill them.

The award was given to Hess on Friday night, which only angered Danroy Henry’s parents who buried their son, on his 21st birthday.

“This honor is a slap in the face.” “It speaks to the arrogance that we have experienced since Oct. 17, 2010,” the player’s mother, Angela Henry said. Her son was killed in a hail of gunfire and “It just shows their inhumanity and their arrogance” she concluded.

Hess and another Pleasantville officer fired at Henry’s car after they claimed he ignored their orders to stop and tried to run them down in the parking lot of a Thornwood bar.

The Pleasantville Policeman Benevolent Association, chose to honor Hess for how he has handled the shooting and its aftermath.

A grand jury declined to indict him and the other officer in February.

Good morning everyone, please realize that racist cops as well as some white people, see the black man as animals and criminals no matter what type of status we’ve rised to in this country. that’s how the repubs see obama, which is why he’s gotta beg and plead for the shit that he wants as a leader. race starts from the top, then trickle down to these towns and states so trust me, nothings changed. case n point, white cop honored for killing a black kid. if that ain’t DISRESPECT then IDK what is.

Black people have fallen for the hype that says: Oh forget about the past, that was then!

You can never ingnore what YOUR people have been through, NEVER. This is why so many of you are shocked by what these animals did and continue to do to this young man’s family. This “award” is a blatant slap in the face and SHOULD show all Black people just where our people rate in the minds of SOME of these presumable men in power.

History folks, don’t sleep and you won’t be shocked by what these animals are capable of.

    1. but danroy henry was killed because he used his car as a weapon people.
      ____________________________________________________

I understand a car can be used as a weapon.

But these were college kids, outside a college bar, not a drug raid in the inner city. Hess knew that when he chose to pull his weapon and fire into a car FULL of students. While Hess got away with it, no one should be applauding his decision.

Everyday policemen make split-second life and death decisions, and yet the use of deadly force is exceedingly rare.

A young man made a mistake, and paid for it with his life. To kill a young man and to endanger the life of the innocent passengers was reckless

      1. My prayers are for the Henry family. The investigation has been sketchy at best. The Henrys lost their son. This isn’t about money, it’s about finding out what really happened. Only then can they move along in their grieving. To award the police officer who shot and killed him, serves to anchor the notion that his actions were justified. Perhaps the officer acted too quickly, perhaps not. Shoddy investigation has served no one. I’ll bet he’s replayed this moment so many times and suffers also. No winners here. Prayers for the officer too.

No matter how you cut it, it’s just not right. If the cop was pinned against a wall and had no choice but to kill or be killed fine but this seems more like the cop reacted with deadly force to a situation that did not require it. He should have been able to get out of the way of the car, if not then he shouldnt be a cop. There is now way to justify killing a kid over a dui or failure to stop for a cop. No chance can you justify that. If he was a murder suspect, bank robber or something like then maybe you can but drunk college kid parked in the wrong area? GTFOH You cant kill someone over that, that is horrible police work.

And Spare us the 3000lb car as a deadly weapon and all that other BULLSHIT you spewing, thats ridiculous. A 20 year old kid is dead because a cop didnt have enought tact or ability to handle a situation properly and he belongs in jail, not at award ceremonies.
