“John J. College Graduate Killed Over $20.00 Loan”

Kamisha Richards (pictured above), was stabbed to death by Kayla Henriques, pictured below.

Richards had recently loaned Kayla the sister (of her boyfriend) $20 to buy disposable diapers and milk for her infant – and became angry after learning the money was spent on other things.

The two then exchanged online insults through Facebook over the weekend, then the harsh feelings escalated through a series of text messages…

Kayla waited for Kamisha to come home from work last night, then stabbed her to death. Kamisha Richards was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Kamisha Richards worked for JP Morgan Chase, her family said, and had hopes to apply to law school in the fall.

This story is not only sad and senseless but tragic in every sense.

“You May Not Eat Yogurt After Reading This”

A New Mexico woman thought she was eating healthy when she accepted a yogurt sample from a male clerk at a local grocery store. After swallowing the sample, the woman thought she tasted an extra added ingredient that wasn’t on the menu.

So she took her suspicions — and what was left of the yogurt sample — to the New Mexico police department where tests were run on the yogurt. The lab tests came back positive for ejaculated protein, semen, and saliva.

Police immediately took out search warrants to obtain blood and DNA samples from the grocery store clerk, Anthony Garcia, 31. Police said the body fluids were necessary to make sure the suspect doesn’t have any sexually transmitted diseases.

The 28-year-old victim, whose name was redacted from the police report, was shopping with her daughter at the Sunflower grocery store in Albuquerque, when she was approached by Garcia, who worked in the store’s dairy department.

He offered her a sample of yogurt, which she accepted. But she was immediately grossed out and disgusted when she realized the sample “tasted like semen.”

In a handwritten statement, the woman wrote, “I spit it out on the floor many times because I was upset.”

She wrote that when she talked to the grocery store manager Catherine Flores, she told me it was a Greek yoghurt. People love it has a lot of protein on it.”

The woman said she paid for her groceries and returned home where she discussed the incident with her boyfriend. She told him how Garcia “just come with one sample just for me,” and that “he was so pushy to tell me how it taste.”

Her boyfriend was sufficiently alarmed enough to accompany her back to the store, where they summoned the police. When police arrived, an “extremely nervous” Garcia told them he discarded the yogurt samples in a trash compactor after the woman complained about the taste.

Anthony Garcia is being detained by police until DNA test are completed later this week.

“Parents File $120 Million Lawsuit”

The parents of Danroy “DJ” Henry have file a $120 million dollar lawsuit against the Pleasantville police department.

You remember this story, the Pace University football player, who was killed by Pleasantville police for no apparent reason.

Well according to police accounts of what happened that night are varying and it has set off a great deal of controversy in the town of Pleasantville, New York, where Henry was shot outside a nightclub.

The incident began on the night of October 17, when police were called to investigate a disturbance outside a bar in the suburb of Thornwood, which is located right near the Pace University campus.

Officer Aaron Hess and some of the witnesses on the scene say that, Hess shot at Henry’s windshield because he was struck by the car as Henry drove away from the scene. But other witnesses are saying that Hess’ use of force was unjustified and the family is seeking a murder indictment against him.

Hess’ lawyer claims that his client was thrown on the hood of the car by the impact and had no other choice but to shoot. It has also been reported that the 20-year old Henry had a blood alcohol level above the legal limit for driving.

There are others on the scene who argue that Hess did not have to shoot Henry. The attorney’s involved are seeking an independent investigation into the matter.

Witnesses say that, Henry was following police instructions when he pulled away from the scene and that Hess did not tell him to stop the car before he shot him.

“Was It Really -A- Suicide… Or A Lynching?”

Frederick Jermaine Carter was found on December 3, with his body hanging from an oak tree in North Greenwood, MS, a predominantly white section of Leflore County in Mississippi.

North Greenwood is known as an area that black people are sometimes afraid to visit. Carter was with his stepfather, who said that he wandered off from an area in which they were both working.

County Sheriff Ricky Banks told the media that a mental condition led to Carter drifting off and hanging himself. He also said that there is no evidence that there was a crime committed, but the community is outraged that the location of Carter’s death was never taped off as a crime scene and they also believe that the investigation was inadequate.

Greenwood has a stain on its national reputation when it comes to aggressive behavior toward African-Americans.

Just 10 miles north of the town is where Emmett Till was murdered in 1955. Till’s alleged killers were acquitted of the crime, even though the boy was shot in the head and had his eyes gouged out. Till’s attackers were angry that he’d allegedly whistled at a white woman.

There are a lot of unanswered questions here and State Senator David Jordan has offered to help the family, saying that he doesn’t buy the story being presented by authorities:

There are a lot of unanswered questions. Carter supposedly had rope in his pocket but didn’t have anything to cut it with? Why wasn’t the scene of the crime blocked off? That tree limb is nearly 12 feet high., I’m 6’2″ and I can’t see how I could maneuver to do that, so how could a boy his height hang himself like that?” said Jordan.

The mysterious death of Frederick Jermaine Carter shows all the classic signs of significant injustice. Given the history of Mississippi, what do you think?
