Which is why it’s no surprise we are now hearing in the news how the Empire actor paid 2 friends to stage his racist, homophobic attack in Chicago on Jan. 29.

On Saturday, Fox32 News quoted sources within the Chicago Police Department who confirmed Smollett paid two brothers to purchase a rope and 2 red hats to stage a hoax MAGA attack.

The brothers were arrested Wednesday and released late Friday without charges.

Chicago police are “eager” to re-interview Smollett after questioning the brothers.

The 36-year-old ‘Empire’ star has retained 3 attorneys, Todd Pugh, Victor Henderson and high-powered defense attorney Michael Monico.

Pugh and Henderson released a statement late Saturday, denying claims that Smollett staged his own attack.

I hope the 2 brothers Jussie Smollett hired have proof he hired them. Aside from the inconsistencies in Smollett’s story and no phone records much of his story never added up.

“Till death do us part” …Is this still a reality? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

When couples marry, they indeed take every ounce of their wedding vows seriously and to heart. In good times and in bad, they even remind each other of those words spoken on the very day they promised to love, cherish, honor and obey. So what happens when the words spoken over each other and their union goes up in smoke?

When the vows are turned inside out, upside down, then doused in betrayal and shame. When the two have grown so far apart, they soon see their vows were as a joke or maybe taken in stride. Divorce is then inevitable.

What happens to “Till death do us part?” Are these words and promise in their vows even a reality anymore?

Were the vows created to manipulate us into a standard of unrealistic expectations? Especially when or if the union fails? When divorce leads to the end of your marriage, then in death you will not part.

My parents were married 58 years and my mom was certainly at my fathers side when he took his last breath fours years ago on January 5, 2015. She sincerely lived out that part in her marriage vow that stated: “Till death do us part“.

I’m sure there are many others who had the same experience but with divorce on the rise among married couples in this society and the lack of loyalty and longevity in today’s generation, is “Till death do us part” even a reality? Where was this idiom established?

‘Border Security vs. The Wall’ on Tonight’s “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Consider the limited thinking that produces a concept such as “border security.” The essential assumption here is that the United States of America is primarily a physical container – three and a half million square miles of freedom and prosperity but the supply is limited.

The border agents, presumably, are protecting all the exclusive goodies that constitute America. The downside of such thinking has been partially laid bare by the Trump presidency, which, as it began, taking children away from asylum-seeking parents at the Mexican border and warehousing the children in places unknown all over the country, which triggered large-scale public outrage.

It didn’t stop there, immigrants who were in the US on temporary visa’s were detained at airports and being picked up by ISIS agents. All in an a purported effort of border control. Then you have its president shutting down the government to prove his point.

What is the bottom line? Is a wall really needed to secure the US border?

Trump LOSES Power Struggle to Pelosi; No SOTU Address Until After Gov’t Shutdown Ends

President Donald Trump folded like a cheap lawn chair after Nancy Pelosi pulled the ultimate power play in their dispute over the location of his State of the Union Address.

President Trump agreed to postpone his address after Pelosi drafted a letter informing him she would not allow him to hold his State Of The Union address in the House Chamber. Pelosi, 79, is the Speaker of the House.

In her letter Pelosi asked President Trump to reschedule his address until after the partial government shutdown ends.

The shutdown is now in its 5th week – the longest government shutdown in US history. 800,000 federal workers are furloughed without pay.

There appears to be no end in sight for the shutdown, as both sides refuse to surrender to the other side’s demands.
