It’s no secret that more black men have been killed under Barack Obama’s presidency than ever before. The uprising and death of African Americans, both men and women at the hands of police have been prevalent in recent years.

The latest victim of causality is Freddie Gray, a Baltimore, Maryland native who was killed this month while in police custody.

Gray was hauled into a police van with a broken spine but exited with a broken spine and severed voice box. It is widely speculated that Gray had several injuries, of which details are being withheld; due to the current tension and violent rioting going on since he was laid to rest.

But Freddie Gray is just one black man amongst many who have been killed by police.

Last year alone there was the killing of Michael Brown Akai Gurley, Kajieme Powell, Tyree Woodson, Jonathan Ferrelle, Ezelle Ford, John Crawford, Tamir Rice and Eric Garner. The list goes on with many to name but is president Barack Obama really to blame?

Did people of color really expect to receive justice for all and equal share, just because a black man took up residence in the white house?

        Problem isn’t balack on black crime. We know what it is but when Rashad kills Raheem 8 out of 10 times Rashad is arrested but when Officer Jim kills Raheem, Officer Jim gets paid administrative desk leave, a internal investigation and back on the beat in 6 months.

The cause, a call stating there “is a black man walking down the street” this is our life in 2015.

    1. True Dat Trudy but…… what about when we’re faced with INJUSTICE like what we’re seeing all over this country today? How we gon be TRUE hero’s when cops are having a field day killing black men in their communities? Oppressing and DISRESPECTING a people of color based upon their hatred used authority. How long must we march and demand JUSTICE? When all the POTUS is doing is seeing these issues through rose colored glasses while using Al Sharpton’s ignorant ass in in the long run!

I agree with him doing something that really goes without saying, I’m just disappointed in people thinking that because he’s a Black man he’s going to solve all ills that we face. It doesn’t work like that,he’s there with his own agenda as all politicians are. Has he failed his people..? Most definitely with the help of the corporations that funded his run for President now that money counts as speech , the choices he made in his cabinet with former employees from large banks, allowing the cuts in social services, to name a few. I’m going strictly by the question asked and while we are on the subject of police brutality he failed with putting pressure on Eric Holder to be more thorough with that investigation into Ferguson which would’ve set a precedent in extreme measures.
