“Did Palin Fuel Congresswoman’s Shooting?”

Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford (pictured here), was shot in the head on Saturday {January 8} at a rally in Tucson, Arizona. 

Witnesses say a young man, in his 20s, ran up and shot the congresswoman “point blank in the head” as she spoke to a couple outside of a Safeway grocery store around 10 am. At least 12 bystanders were shot, 20 wounded and 6 dead, one of them included a 9-year-old girl. 

In the meantime, Congresswoman Gifford’s name was on Sarah Palin’s political hit list. Is this Palin’s way of encouraging violence against all of those representatives who voted for President Obama’s healthcare plan?

Palin’s hit list was removed from her website in the aftermath of Saturday’s shooting. Authorities should still however, bring charges up against Palin for igniting violence via her website and her hate fueled speeches.

      I agree with Tracy and so many others in saying, Palin def. exaggerated this issue. when you speak violence indirectly, those words go out to all the crazies and one will eventually take heed and this fool did.

      This is too sad, esp. the fact that a 9 y/o little girl was killed.

  10. This kind of metaphoric rhetoric can be taken as a command to some people. It’s irresponsible. They get these unstable people rowed up and these are the consequences. It’s unfortunate, I’m kind of at a lost for words. The level of recklessness, disregard, and violence keeps increasing.

      And I have said for the longest, that Palin’s rhetoric will get someone hurt and/or killed. She brings out a class of people still has hatered and racism embedded in their soul. Her heart is as cold as those Alaskan Moose nuts.
      And she is in major damage control mode now. This happened in her former running mates state (He must be extra pissed) and notice Palin hasnt issued a statement…I guess her spin will be she doesn’t have to as a “citizen” since she no longer hold public office.
      This woman makes me sick to my stomach.

    3. One of the docs said she was shot thru and thru (the head). They finished surgery and she is expected to survive but to what extent, the docs dont know yet. Meaning she could become a vegetable with limited mental function at worst or along the lines of James Brady (who was also shot in the head) during the attempted assassination of former Pres. Reagan and left paralyzed in a wheelchair.

      Two years ago the United States elected its first African American President. People are not this damn gulliable.
