“She Admitted – It Was All A Hoax”

After launching an intense manhunt for a crazed black woman who threw acid in a Vancouver woman’s face, police announced that the “victim” admitted she made the whole thing up.

“She is extremely upset and very remorseful,” said police Cmdr. Marla Schuman. “In many ways, this just got bigger than she expected.”

“It seems clear to everyone that we have a person here who is in a fragile mental state,” she added.

Detectives said they began to suspect it was a hoax, after other aspects of the case just didn’t add up. For instance, investigators looked at the splash pattern of the acid, and the fact that the acid didn’t run down her neck.

The case turned when Storro’s story continued to change. On Thursday, Vancouver police served a search warrant on the residence where Storro was staying. They declined to say what they recovered inside the home.

The alleged race of the attacker sparked a barrage of racist comments on newspaper message boards all over the country. Some message boards were even shut down due to the violent content of the comments.

Police don’t believe Storro’s parents knew the attack was a hoax., but should have informed police that their daughter had a history of mental issues.

Charges against this sick, race baiting heifer, could include; making false or misleading statements to police, a gross misdemeanor that’s punishable by a maximum of one year in jail and a $5,000 fine.

  18. I knew something was up when she said that a black woman of athletic build threw something in her face and called her a pretty girl. First of all, what stud/butch black woman does that? Really? Seems like a more feminine woman would do that. Secondly, she aint pretty enough for someone to call her a pretty girl and throw acid in her face. Something just didn’t set right with me. She wasn’t pretty ENOUGH for that attack.

        That’s not crazy-its actually half-way smart. She wanted plastic surgery and her insurance probably wouldn’t cover it because it’s cosmetic and she doesn’t have the cash in hand. If you get into a bad enough accident, or incidence that makes you almost “unbearable” to look at to the average person- then insurance covers. She wanted the surgery and the acid was just a means to an end. She aint crazy- stupid and a bad liar, but not crazy in the least.

        The difference between your serial murder and this woman was their motive. Jeffrey Dahmer killin people and eatin them doesn’t even have a logical motive. SHE DID! She wanted someone else to foot the bill for her plastic surgery and devised a plan to achieve that.

        Ask ANY psychologist and they will tell you just killing someone or harming yourself doesn’t make you CRAZY by legal standards. That’s why so few “insanity” defenses actually work.

        Because of the lie of the malicious act in itself, I think if she had said “a white woman did it”, she still would have had sympathy and the out pouring of help. I hadn’t heard of the story until after she had admitted she did it. I still think she has mental issues and they should lock her up in a mental institution. If you have ever seen those places, prison without the possibility of parole would be better.

  25. This is going to sound harsh….but I believe in cases like this where the “victim” clearly falsified a crime just to “race-bait”- the crime should actually get to happen to them. After reading way too many “typical” comment from different newspapers saying that “minorities are getting out of control” and Black people need to go back to Africa”, (a few people even blamed Obama… said that his election was making blacks to bold). I was sooo freaking upset at the way some YT people will use every single crime that a black person commits to crucify the entire race. I think that it is funny that when it happened the media made sure to say that it was an African American woman but when they (GMA) announced that it was a hoax this morning they simply said that the “victim” lied about a “woman” throwing acid in her face. they left out the african american description. If this case was reverse you can best believe no one would have believed it so quickly and their wouldn’t have been so much hatred shown to the “attacker”.     See, there should be a law that states if you make a catagorically false report that could lead to someone being charged and convicted (as we know there are plenty of innocent people in prisons to this day) then the person who makes the false claim should be subject to the same penalty that someone who might have been convicted would have received.

    For example, if someone crys rape and it’s found to be untrue, they get the same sentence that a rapist would have received.

    If we had a law like that, trust, you’d see a lot less cases of this type of tomfoolery.

    Plus, soon as they say it was some mysterious Black man or woman, I always give it the side eye, you know they lying.

  65. This story literally hit home with me being that I’m a black woman living in Vancouver, WA. This part of the country is very racist, so I wasn’t surprised that the locals were almost forming lynch parties ready to go after every black woman they saw. Trust me, the side eyes I’ve been getting have increased since this incident.

    People thought we lived in a “post-racial” society after Obama got in office. Blacks get accused of “playing the race card;” however, when things like this happen, we realize that racism is still alive and very well indeed.

    I don’t expect they’ll charge her because they want everyone to feel sorry for her, and for the most part, they probably will. We shall see.
