President Obama has decided to release at least one photo showing Osama Bin Laden’s death.

The images, being described as ‘graphic’, are bound to stir emotions in the east and the west, and will likely become the most viewed photographs in modern history.

John Brennan, President Obama’s chief counterterrorism adviser, said yesterday evening that Obama had not decided whether to release any photos or videos.

“We are going to do everything we can to make sure that nobody has any basis to try to deny that we got Osama bin Laden,” Brennan told reporters.

“bin Laden’s corpse was badly disfigured, making it all the more difficult to decide whether to release images, particularly of his face,” said Brennan.

“Obama And His Commanders Had A Front Row Seat”

According to the new york daily news, President Barack Obama watched the raid of Osama Bin Laden’s compound in real time television in the situation room of the White House. President Obama and his commanders watched tensely, as a handful of Navy SEALs moved in on Bin Laden a half a world away.

Two choppers went into the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, aiming to hover over the grounds and lower 12 SEALs but one of the choppers had mechanical difficulties and had to land. An emergency third helicopter was dispatched to help.

Meanwhile, the SEAL team was inside Bin Laden’s house and a firefight erupted. Bin Laden used a woman as a human shield and raised a weapon, right before an American bullet hit him in his forehead.

Osama Bin Laden, stayed holed up until his death in this 3-story “mansion”., a house that was built in 2005; to house him, his youngest wife, one of his sons and 19 others. Also living there was the courier who unwittingly led U.S. forces to the hideout.

John Brennan, assistant to the President for Counter Terrorism said, “Obama’s decision to greenlight the raid was “one of the most gutsiest calls of any US president in recent memory.”

“School Shooting In Brazil Leave 12 Kids Dead”

A crazed madman walked into a Rio de Janeiro middle school in Brazil on yesterday and massacred 10 girls and two boys. As the crazed madman lined the students up against a wall he yelled “I’m going to kill you all”.

The killer has been identified as Wellington Menezes de Oliveira, 24, a former student at the school, who arrived with two guns at 8:30 a.m and told staff members he was there for a lecture before he opened fire. The meyhem and chaos had the students running for their lives.

The gunman also had a white bedsheet and a suicide note that read “virgins should use it to wrap his naked body.”

“I must be seen as an authentic and faithful follower of God and there must be prayers at my grave asking God’s pardon for what I did so that Jesus will grant me the sleep of death for eternal life,” the note said. He added that, “he wanted prayers said over his grave.”

“We believe he was a psychopath,” said Assistant Police Chief Roberto Sa.

Simone Gold, 41, a hairdresser in Astoria, Queens said, she moved to New York eight years ago because the violence in Brazil is a big problem.

“One of the reasons I came to the U.S. was lack of safety,” she said. “I lived two years in Rio de Janeiro and I would never know if my kids would come home alive from school.”

Police: “Wyclef Jean was not shot… he cut his hand on glass”

Not long after news broke early Saturday that Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean had been shot in Haiti, Twitter.com users began expressing doubts about the story.

Details were sketchy at first, but then Wyclef released photos of himself reclining on a bed in a Haiti clinic, his left hand resting dramatically on his forehead while his right hand was wrapped in a bandage. Another photo shows Jean sitting on the side of a bed, a blood soaked gauze covers his right palm — hardly a spot that is normally grazed by a bullet.

Wyclef spoke to the AP and other media outlets before casting his vote in the presidential election. He said he was stepping out of a car with his entourage, which included the rapper Busta Rhymes, when suddenly a shooter opened fire on him.

He said: “The way I can explain it is that the bullet grazed me in my right hand. I heard blow, blow, blow and I just looked at my hand.”

But Haitian police accuse Wyclef of fabricating his story to bring attention to his candidate.

“We met with the doctor who saw him and he confirmed Wyclef was cut by glass,” said Vanel Lacroix, police chief in Petionville where Jean is staying.

“Why Is There Order And No Looting In Japan?”

As I was listening to the news this morning, one of all the heartbreaking and uplifting stories coming out of quake-hit country, and the most talked about is the lack of looting even in the hardest hit areas.

The media is apparently searching for images of looting among the devastation and are shocked to find, there is none.

Contrast to the media coverage of the widespread looting in post-Katrina New Orleans that was split down racial lines. The media’s coverage of the looting in New Orleans was shamefully biased.

White looters were described as “recovering” basic items necessary for survival — such as bottled water and detergent, while blacks were portrayed as looters scavenging for beer and cigarettes.

While the media never tires of reporting on the looting, pillaging and rapes that continue to plague the Haitian people.

But in Japan, where people generally look out for one another, the media is reduced to settling for images of “solidarity” among the Japanese people. “Perhaps even more impressive than Japan’s technological power is its social strength…” writes a British reporter. “This is quite unusual among human cultures,” he adds.

It’s also quite unusual for the media to notice.
