“You Read This Blog But Really Don’t Know Me?

I received a gift card in the mail yesterday from a loyal reader.,(who shall remain anonymous). His gift card came along with a CD from “Drake” who is a rapper and a singer I’m told.

This loyal reader wrote the following:

Dear Ms. Tracy,

“I love the new artist “Drake” and his song “Fancy” reminds me of you” “Go ahead, Go ahead, you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh” – “Nails done, hair done, everything done, nails done, hair done, everything done”

Oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, You getting ready so I know we gon be here awhile, in the bathroom flat irons and nail files, spending hours in salons on your hairstyle, in the mall steady racking up all dem air miles”.

“Well aren’t you a breath of fresh air from all these superficial gold digging bitches in here” they get a baller and think that they aint got to pick a career, guess they plan on sucking dicks until some millions appear”

“I met you at a book event in CT and then again in NY and checked out how your style was tight, your hair and nails be done and you greeted me with your smile, make it so bad, you can take it up or bring it down…. Damn I think you bad!” “Damn I think you fine” “You had this brief case on wheels and I wanted to cop a feel”.

“I hope you enjoy the CD and know that reading your blog is like an inside look into your life and mind”

“Peace”

I never heard of this artist Drake, nor do I listen to his music and while I’m on the subject; I don’t listen to T.I., Swizz Beatz, Sean Combs, Neyo, Lil Wayne, Shawty Low, Soldier Boy, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and any other new rap artist out today.

It is understandable how I might be viewed and superficially perceived, however the core of my being is so much more than my fancy (i.e.,hair and nails).

In addition, the foul and profane language of the lyrics in this CD are both degrading and extremely disrespectful.

But thank you reader, the thought was sweet, your heart was in the right place and the gift card commendable; but trust and believe, my qualities are extreme and far more meaningful than you are able to see.

“Celebrating -25- Years In Business”

My girlfriend and business crony Madonna (L), is celebrating 25 years in business and her huge celebratory Soiree took place on Thursday August 26, 2010 at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ… She’s pictured with my sister Theresa (R).

Madonna is not only a self-made successful business woman but she owns and operate her own establishments in 2 locations. The Madonna Multinational Home for Funerals and Chewey Vuitton doggy day care.

Madonna really knows how to throw a party! And YES “God has been good to her”…

The highlight of Madonna’s event was when she wheeled out her anniversary cake made in the fashion of a corpse (Pictured below). The crowd went crazy!

The cakes name: “Ghost Girl”

Yes that’s her face on the head of the cake..

One of the attendants (at the Venetian) places the candles around the torso of the cake. If you notice she’s holding flowers., isn’t that creative?

The crowd just couldn’t get over the cake!

Madonna is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority., Inc. And when one of her Soro sisters saw the corpse cake ( Ghost Girl), she ran away saying “I don’t like it – I don’t like it – I don’t like it – I don’t like it!!”

Pictured here with Madonna (center), are the beautiful women of her Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

Phloyd T. Bell.,Owner and Proprietor of Greta Car Service (Pictured here), escorted some lovely women to the event. You can check out his website to view that!

Do y’all remember my cousins Kenyatta (L) and SheShar (R)?? The same cousins who appeared on my old blog when I featured their photo (Inset picture) from a September 2009 family event that was rained out. Does anyone remember that? Anyway, they were representing at Madonna’s affair looking sexy and fierce!!!!

They are pictured here again with my aunt O’Swive, my mom’s youngest sister.

Passaic activist Kasim Washington and his beautiful wife Doshanna were in attendance. They are both extremely active in the city of Passaic.

I’m pictured here with my BFF “K-Force”. Do y’all remember her? Too bad my old blog site died, otherwise you would be able to check her in my archives.

Congratulations Madonna!!!!!! For thriving 25 years in business!! —-We here at the CEO’s BlogSpot salute you on your success!

My girl Madonna… standing near her cake.

What do you think of the cake?

I know you all are going to tell me. 🙂 So….Go for it!!!

The cake I believe had two fillings, chocolate (madonna’s screen name) and caramel.

“I Dined At The “Top”

On Friday evening and this place is off the hook!!

I don’t even know where to begin with this piece, especially since “Tops Diner” should be a restaurant instead of a diner, simply because I’ve never been to a diner where I witnessed a long wait just to be seated. We didn’t have that problem though, we were seated right away.

Their selections are plentiful and the food portions are enormous!! When the food comes out of the kitchen, it is bedecked on huge platters like it was pulled from a cuisine magazine.

I saw huge platters of fish and shrimp, chicken and waffles and the chicken, fish and shrimp pieces were so big, I had to ask our waitress Carmella if there was a hen-house out back or a fishing dock at the edge of their parking lot.

The “owner and chef” at Tops is not playing when it comes to the way his food is presented and served to his patrons.

My dinner companion had chicken and eggplant parmesan over a large bed of linguine, this pasta dish was so large it could feed a family of five. And with that dish came a nice size salad and soup, I had his soup along with a spinach salad, topped with grilled salmon and mushrooms, a chopped boiled egg and mozzarella cheese. (the food pictures here are not the real depiction of the restaurant’s dishes).

For dessert I had the red velvet cake and it was better than Sylvia’s; now you know…it had to be good! The cake was so light, it melted in my mouth.

My crony had the coconut pie that looked like a cake, was shaped like a big fat piece of corn bread and baked to perfection.

Again, I asked Carmella our waitress, if the owner’s grandmother was in the basement cranking out cakes. That’s when she informed me, there was indeed a bakery on site and yes in the basement.

The staff was courteous and professional…I liked because they were all wearing the same shirts and dark pants, they were all neat, clean and uniformed. The chefs were wearing dress pants and dress shirts, adorned with white aprons. Again, the look was clean-cut and professional.

A professional presentation in a business, equals a high degree of training, competence and skill.

Established in 1972, Tops Diner is located in East Newark or maybe even Harrison, New Jersey. It’s a popular spot for the students of Rutger’s University. So if you’re ever in the area, it’s so worth the trip and dining at the top!!
