Michael Sams is saying “There’s Racism in The Gay Community”

MICHAEL_SMAX633_0Imagine that? Being Black and homosexual but also being black and discriminated against!

Michael Sams was proud to be the first openly gay football player drafted to the NFL. I never believed Sams was serious about football in the first place, because it was like he was “gay first” and made the game secondary.

Well now Sams is speaking out and complaining that there’s racism in the Gay community. Sam, 27 told Attitude Magazine:

“I will say this, since I came out, I did not realize how much racism there actually is in the gay community” “It’s terrible.

People have told me I’m not gay enough, people have told me I’m not black enough. I don’t know what that means,” said Sam.

“You want to be accepted by other people but you don’t even accept someone just because of the color of their skin? I just don’t understand that at all. How are you saying that, ‘oh, I want people to accept me because I’m gay but I don’t accept you because you’re black, or because you’re white or because you’re Asian’.”

Personally I think he’s trying to make a name for himself instead of focusing on his career and the thrill of the game.

Celebratory kiss: Sam and his boyfriend kiss on national television in celebration of him becoming an NFL player

As I was having my dinner in a restaurant tonight, I was shocked when Michael Sams boyfriend kissed him in the mouth on national television, as he received the news that he’d been drafted by the St. Louis Rams.

The highly decorated defensive end was drafted in the seventh round, 249th overall, and famously kissed boyfriend Vito Cammisano after smashing cake in his face on national television.

Many current Rams tweeted congratulatory messages to their new teammate and said they looked forward to getting him on the field. Really? If I was a straight muscle formed football player, I wouldn’t want a gay team-mate in the locker room with me.

ESPN aired footage of people at a well-known Los Angeles gay bar celebrating Sam’s entry into the NFL. And President Obama (the president who supports and encourages the gay culture) offered words of congratulations of course, to both Sam and the Rams for the draft pick.

Sam is the NFL’s first openly gay player.
