“Eddie Long Accuser Arrested On Gun Charges”

One of the men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual misconduct was arrested late Thursday in Miami on suspicion of being a drug dealer, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Jamal Parris, 24, was driving a white 2011 BMW in Miami Beach Tuesday evening when a Florida Highway Patrol officer noticed that it had no tags.

Sgt. Seth Dubinsky stopped the car. When he approached it, he smelled marijuana, he told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.

Dubinsky searched the car and said he found 181 grams of marijuana, which is worth about $1,000 on the street. He said he also found 50 clear plastic baggies and a Taurus semiautomatic handgun. He said Parris also was carrying $1,250 in cash.

Police said the stash along with the automatic weapon was “indicative of a drug dealer.” Parris was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission  of a felony. He also was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no registration, a misdemeanor.

The BMW was towed and impounded. Parris’ passenger, Jeremy Jouvanni Gordon, 20, of Miami was also arrested on drug related charges.

Parris was apparently driving the same 2011 BMW that he bragged about buying on his Facebook page a few days after settling his lawsuit against Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

The men reportedly settled their lawsuits for around $2 million each. But, according to the terms of the structured settlement, the cash will be paid out in installments over the next 20 years.

“Eddie Long Paid NOT To Admit Guilt”

Bishop Eddie Long apologized to his victims privately but refused to give an apology publicly, which ended up costing him more.

Our legal sources familiar with this case tell us, what began as a $2 million dollar agreement to settle the case for each of the four men quickly rose to $5.5 million for the respective plaintiffs, only because Long refused to publicly admit guilt.

Therefore, the men are to divide $2.2 million dollars equally and then receive $400,000 dollars in payments until the money is paid out over the next 20 years. The final figure comes to $22 million for the four men and $2.8 million for the plaintiffs attorneys.

This proves that Bishop Eddie Long wants to remain in the closet, with skeletons inching out a little at a time.

“Bernice King Leaves Bishop Eddie Long’s Church”

Unable to come to terms with her pastor’s secret lifestyle, Bernice King has left her position at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, according to the AJC.

King, 48, the youngest and only surviving daughter of the late civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, left her position as an elder on Sunday just days after Bishop Eddie Long and the church settled lawsuits brought by 4 men who say he coerced them with gifts, clothing and trips in exchange for sex.

King was an impassioned opponent of gay rights and gay marriage in particular. In 2004, King and Long walked side by side during a march against gay marriage that ended at the Martin Luther King grave site.

It is supposedly well-known in the lesbian community that King is not empathetic toward gays and lesbians. It has been long rumored that Bernice, who never married, is an undercover lesbian herself. Just because she’s not married doesn’t constitute her being a lesbian though. I’m not married YET and I’m not gay! Far from it.

In a report written by the Southern Poverty Law Center, Long was called “one of the most virulently homophobic black leaders in the religiously based anti-gay movement.” In one sermon, he says to gays and lesbians, “God says you deserve death!”

Long’s New Birth Missionary Baptist mega church once had a membership of 25,000. But at the 8 a.m. service on the Sunday following news of the settlement, the congregation numbered in the hundreds.

Time eventually reveals all truth!

“Eddie Long Settles Out Of Court With His Accusers”

According to online reports, Bishop Eddie Long settled out of court with his 4 male accusers, who were teenagers of legal age when he plied them with cash and gifts in exchange for sex. Maurice Robinson, 21, Anthony Flagg, 22, Jamal Parris and another man, claimed the Bishop “coerced” and “enticed” them with exotic trips, clothing and cars. In one case, he even paid the young man’s college tuition.

Long vigorously denied the allegations when the news broke last September. Throughout the ordeal the Bishop’s long suffering wife and their four grown children stood beside him. Their support never wavered.

There are unconfirmed rumors that Long paid each man $1.5 million and an apology behind closed doors. But according to media personality Star Jones, who was in Atlanta yesterday, the terms of the settlement have not been made public.
