“Missing Brooklyn Boy Found Dismembered”

I was heart-broken, when I heard on the news this morning that the body of a 9-year-old Hasidic boy who went missing was found in a dumpster, but devastated to hear the boy’s body was dismembered.

Leibby Kletsky’s (pictured left), who went missing from a Brooklyn day camp on Monday, was found stuffed inside of a suitcase and just thrown in a dumpster, his body parts were found discarded in 2 separate locations in Brooklyn.

Acting on tips and credit card receipts, police raided a Kensington home on E. 2nd Street this morning and arrested 35-year-old suspect Levi Aron, who led them to the locations where he discarded Leibby’s body parts. Leibby’s severed feet were found in the man’s freezer.

Cops said Aron, who works as a clerk at the Empire State Supply Co. hardware  store on McDonald Avenue in Kensington, allegedly suffocated the boy before  chopping him up. Kelly said they also found three knives in a butcher block  inside of Aron’s apartment.

“Not Guilty?” – “This Heifer Was Acquitted!”

The jury has reached a verdict in the sensational murder trial of Casey Anthony in an Orlando, Florida courtroom today. After listening to testimony from both sides for nearly 6 weeks, they found her not guilty.

Anthony pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. She could have faced the death penalty if she had been convicted.

Anthony however, was found guilty of lying to police. She will be out of prison in less than a year.

It’s a possibility Casey’s lost her family due to the embarrassing lies that were made public during the trial but I’m so glad this case is over!

“Eddie Long Accuser Arrested On Gun Charges”

One of the men who accused Bishop Eddie Long of sexual misconduct was arrested late Thursday in Miami on suspicion of being a drug dealer, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Jamal Parris, 24, was driving a white 2011 BMW in Miami Beach Tuesday evening when a Florida Highway Patrol officer noticed that it had no tags.

Sgt. Seth Dubinsky stopped the car. When he approached it, he smelled marijuana, he told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday.

Dubinsky searched the car and said he found 181 grams of marijuana, which is worth about $1,000 on the street. He said he also found 50 clear plastic baggies and a Taurus semiautomatic handgun. He said Parris also was carrying $1,250 in cash.

Police said the stash along with the automatic weapon was “indicative of a drug dealer.” Parris was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm during the commission  of a felony. He also was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no registration, a misdemeanor.

The BMW was towed and impounded. Parris’ passenger, Jeremy Jouvanni Gordon, 20, of Miami was also arrested on drug related charges.

Parris was apparently driving the same 2011 BMW that he bragged about buying on his Facebook page a few days after settling his lawsuit against Long and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church.

The men reportedly settled their lawsuits for around $2 million each. But, according to the terms of the structured settlement, the cash will be paid out in installments over the next 20 years.

“Afrika Owes Will Spend Her Summer In Jail”

The 17-year-old Ivy League Harlem teen, kissed her mother goodbye before she was led away in cuffs to Rykers Island, to start serving a 90-day jail term under an unusual plea agreement.

Afrika is expected to plead guilty on July 7 to conspiracy and weapons charges, but started serving her jail time now to ensure her release early in the school year.

Owes spent two months in jail before the historic Abyssinian Baptist Church posted $25,000 bail. She was arrested Feb. 16 as part of a violent crack-slinging gang known as the “137th Street Crew.”

Owes was valedictorian of her Harlem eighth-grade class before her acceptance into the $43,800-a-year Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts. She left the school after two years due to unexcused absences, and transferred to Millennium High School in Manhattan.

Butts said he believed Owes would take full advantage of her second chance. “I’ve got faith in Afrika,” he said.

“Long Might of Settled His LawSuits, But He Has A Plan”

*Bishop Eddie Long is launching satellite branches of his Lithonia, GA-based New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, and announced Sunday that the first one is in Birmingham, Ala.

The church is called New Birth Birmingham, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And New Birth Denver is currently in the works.

Long also said the Lithonia mega church recently received its certified audit back from 2010 and 2009. He didn’t explain why the audit was conducted. “All your money’s being done right and being calculated right,” he said from the pulpit, then asked parishioners with deep pockets to make larger donations ($500 to $1,000) as a seed for the ministry, the newspaper reports.

Four lawsuits against Long and the Lithonia mega church were recently dismissed in DeKalb County State Court. Four young men allege Long coerced them into sexual relations using trips, gifts and jobs. Settlement terms are confidential.
