“CNN Journalist Don Lemon Reveals “He’s Gay”

The CNN journalist is speaking out about his sexuality in the recent release and upcoming memoir “Transparent”.

“Today I chose to step out on faith and begin openly living my own truth. And let me say right up front that I hope many of you will be inspired to do the same thing in your daily lives. Some of the things I’ve chosen to reveal in my book Transparent were very difficult to share with even those closest to me.”

There was a time when I was terrified of revealing these things to the person I love most in this world – my own mother. But when I finally mustered the courage to tell her that I had been molested as a child and that I was born gay, my life began to change in positive ways that I never imagined possible. Yet I still chose to keep those secrets hidden from the world. I, like most gay people, lived a life of fear. Fear that if some employers, co-workers, friends, neighbors and family members learned of my sexuality, I would be shunned, mocked and ostracized. It is a burden that millions of people carry with them every single day. And sadly, while the mockery and ostracizing are realized by millions of people every day, I truly believe it doesn’t have to happen and that’s why I feel compelled to share what I’ve written in Transparent.

As a journalist I believe that part of my mission is to shed light onto dark places. So, the disclosure of this information does not inhibit in any way my ability to be the professional, fair and objective journalist I have always been.

My book is dedicated to the memory of Rutgers University student Tyler Clementi, who jumped to his death from a bridge after his dorm mates streamed his private business over the Internet for the world to see. Tyler might still be with us today if more gay men and women had chosen to live proudly and openly. It is also dedicated to the millions of young, gay people who believe they are alone when dealing with their own sexual identities. You are not alone! There are people, like me and many others, who are thriving in their personal and professional lives and although we sometimes have a hard time with it ourselves, we are here to show you by example that you too can overcome any obstacle as long as you stay strong and, most of all, stay alive.”

With love and honesty,

Don Lemon

“No Fags On The Forefront: Gay Employee Puts Messy Jesse Jackson On Blast!”

His name is Tommy R. Bennett, former National Director of Community Affairs for Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition. Bennett filed a complaint with the city of Chicago’s Commission on Human Relations last year claiming he was unjustly terminated from Jackson’s non-profit coalition.

According to published reports, Bennett’s claims are not only shocking and demeaning but states, Jackson ridiculed him in front of other employees and required him to perform ‘humiliating task; like escorting women to his hotel room and cleaning up after he had sex with them. He has also made strong allegations that the historical civil rights leader demanded oral sex from him.

On another occasion, Bennet said he was summoned to <–Jackson’s hotel room” at the Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel and was told to apply cream to Jackson who “had a rash between his legs.” an order Bennett states he flat-out refused.

According to NBC Chicago, Bennett worked for the Rainbow PUSH Coalition for more than two years as the National Director of Community Affairs. The complaint states that Bennett endured a string of discriminatory treatment from multiple supervisors, but his protests and complaints were ignored.

Bennett’s is demanding back and front pay, compensation for emotional distress and punitive damages all to the tune of $450,000.

I wonder how many other gay/homosexual staffers have been mistreated or demeaned in other non-profit organizations? Mm..I’m sure there’s more.

“The Black Church Speak Out Against President Obama”

On his decision not to defend The Marriage Act

The Rev. Anthony Evans, who heads the National Black Church Initiative — a coalition of 34,000 black churches — is blasting President Barack Obama’s decision to stop defending the The Marriage Act.

The Rev. notes that Obama “has violated the Christian faith” by failing to uphold Jesus’ teaching that marriage is between a man and a woman.

DOMA was signed into law in September, 1996 by then President Bill Clinton. The law is intended to uphold and preserve the sanctity of marriage between a man and woman.

Gays, (and other special interest groups) who make up a substantial portion of the left-wing voting bloc, say the law is unconstitutional. Not surprisingly Obama, who was opposed to gay marriage up until now, all of a sudden agrees with them.

Obama’s new stance has angered the Rev. Evans who says black churches must “reassess their extraordinary support for him.”

Looks like President Obama will not be able to please everyone but he’ll have to take a position and make his position clear.

Anyway, it’s about time “the real church” take a stand against the president’s decision!

“Retailer Censors Elton John On Cover”

A Harps supermarket in Mountain View, Ark., censored an Us Weekly cover featuring Elton John, husband David Furnish and their new baby, Zachary. Deemed inappropriate for “young Harps shoppers,” the store placed a “family shield” in front of the magazine.

The Mountain View Harps responded to a call from PopEater on Wednesday afternoon with a curt “no comment” before hanging up. A call to the corporate office redirected all calls and sent them to a voice mail when asked for official comment.

John and Furnish entered into a civil partnership 5 years ago. Their son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John was born on Christmas day to a surrogate mom.
