“The Truth about Thanksgiving” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

.

Family and friends will travel near and afar to gather together for a turkey dinner and give thanks. Thanks in a season that has gone down throughout history as a celebration of peace, togetherness and fellowship with our bretheren.

As told throughout history, Thanksgiving is celebrated as peace between the Pilgrims and the Indians in this native land. Where they settled their differences and broke bread in Thanksgiving as a gesture of peace. But the story that’s been sold is far from true.

The story of Thanksgiving was fabricated to have us believe the Pilgrims and Indians had this big feast in prayer and Thanksgiving, then lived on the Plymouth happily coexisting. So NOT TRUE!!!

Tune into “Conversations Of A Sistah” at 6:30 p.m. EST as we discuss “The Truth about Thanksgiving“.

“When Your Programming is Real” Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Some women were raised to give into timelines as a basis of accomplishment. The ultimate goal is to have it all as they’ve been programmed to believe, with marriage and a successful relationship a priority.

But what happens when “having it all” doesn’t seem to be a reality? Why are so many women mentally programmed to believe they’re a failure or unfulfilled?

Tune in tonight at 6:30 p.m. EST on “Conversations Of A Sistah” as I delve into the topic: “When Your Programming is Realon “Conversations Of A Sistah”

What about your Friends? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Studies suggest that some women forget about their friends once they are married and living their happily ever after. Although it is said that, girlfriends are a healthier alternative to being married to a man. After the delirious mind fuzz of the proposal, engagement, shower, and wedding wears off, men are apparently the primary beneficiaries of marriage. While marriage attracts less inhibited men in general, it also inhibits antisocial behaviors in men, ultimately improving the quality of their lives. Married men live longer. In fact, men over 50 who find themselves single face a much higher mortality rate. I’m in no way knocking marriage but why do some women cut off their girlfriends once they enter relationships or get married?

There are not as many benefits in marriage for women. Just having a man around creates seven hours of extra work a week. Women pack on pounds when married. A bad marriage is a risk factor for heart disease in women. And women take longer to recover emotionally when a relationship falls apart. However when girlfriends cut off girlfriends, they lack that support, emotionally and mentally.

The Pros & Cons of legalizing marijuana, Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Some people are all for the legalization of marijuana for medicinal purposes, while others just want the freedom of getting high in public. Marijuana is legal in some states and offenders who were jailed at some point were exonerated due to this change in the law. But what will be the moral consequences be if marijuana becomes legal in every state?

Legalized marijuana or weed for recreational use is already existent in several states in the US, including Colorado and Washington, where voters passed ballot initiatives and may not have even realized it. As expected, weed is considered as a dangerous drug, the move has raised plenty of questions and has become a hot topic in debates.

However the question is still debated……is this a wise or wrong move?

Tune into “Conversations Of A Sistah” at 6:30 p.m. EST. on blog talk radio for Tracy L. Bell’s commentary on “The Pros & Cons” of legalizing marijuana.
