To mask his pain, he plays the rebound Game? Tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

The rebound_relationship

Are you the rebound chick? His plan B? The plan that he intends to use if his first plan fails. This is the case when a man needs to mask his pain and hurt from a previous relationship. I find there are a lot of women willing to play this Russian roulette with a man because they refuse to see the forest for the trees.

A rebounding man has a lot of emotional issues not dealt with, such as; he doesn’t want to be alone, he doesn’t want to feel that crush from his failed relationship, so his true intent is to fill a void to mask how he really feels. The new relationship is meant to keep him from having to deal with his feelings about his recent breakup. Rebound relationships are never healthy; in fact they’re superficial because you’re only being used by the man to ride through his short period of delusion.

Men who have breakups and then immediately involve themselves with someone else seem to feel the need to prove to themselves they are worthy of love and affection. They may miss the comfort and affection of the regular relationship. But whatever the reason, it is a selfish reason, one that is based on serving the self-esteem and satisfying the feeling of personal worth.

I dare you to join me tonight at 8:00 P.M. on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I expound on this topic.

I’ve decided to dedicate this show to every single one of my sistahs on the rebound. Allow me to “school you” concerning the truth.

The man, his Arrogance and his Ego…Tonight on Conversations Of A Sistah

man_and_his_ego

Men are sensitive beings who require just as much validation and attention as women. They are just as emotional as women but show their emotions differently than woman. So the first step in understanding the male ego is knowing it can be wounded and become frail at any time. Sometimes in order to appease the male and his ego you have to avoid damaging comments that delve into his masculinity or the ability to provide for his family. These damaging comments may include; insults to his profession, his performance in the bedroom, undercut his leadership skills or offend his qualifications.

At the same time you shouldn’t walk on eggshells in order to avoid the sensitivity of the male ego either. The biggest blow to a man’s ego is rejection, some men don’t know how to handle, embrace or deal with being rejected. And God forbid his arrogance is coupled in with this rejection, these are dangerous twins that can destroy the man’s self-esteem.

When The Biological Clock Ticks And you get Tricked! Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

fighting-couple

We as humans allow time to dictate our biological processes. We have to have children and be married before the age of 25 or 30. We want to be happily married and fully established by the age of 50. All of these mental pressures determine our decisions instead of us allowing God to naturally perfect theses developments.

When life’s major decisions are carried out according to man and society, mistakes are made and then regrets ensue. Temporary insanity affects our decision-making because the world defines it one way, when God’s plan is completely different.

Being desperate and determined to make things happen according to your plan and not God’s, equals you being tricked into making all the wrong decisions in the long run.

Join me Wednesday April 10, 2013 at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss being tricked as the result of these biological pressures.

Modestly Dressed? -or- Looking a Hot Mess?! Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sisah”

Half_naked

What is considered modestly dressed in today’s society? What is going on with some of the outrageous outfits we see men and woman wearing today in what is being called fashion?

I made a trip to the mall for the first time in a long time on last Friday and was shocked by some of the bold outfits I saw women dressed in…I saw way too much skin! Skin tight mini-skirts, low-cut dresses, cut out t-shirts, painted on jeans, plunging necklines, low-rise pants, see-through clothing, skimpy tops, tacky formal wear and the list goes on.

You have men dressing like women with their jeans worn down and hanging off of their buttocks, sleeveless tees, unlaced sneakers and tight jeans. And for the record anything tight on a man is never a good look and this includes white shoes or a white coat.

It seems as though some individuals both men and women are attempting to live out their fantasies by dressing like those examples seen through some of these famous entertainers, while not being creative with modest and decent styles of their own. If sex sales for attention, they’re all for it and I think it’s a disgrace!

Join me tonight at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss such issues. In the meantime email your questions to the show at conversations@optonline.net

Are You in a relationship with the WRONG man? Tonite on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

Wrong_relationship

As I continue to celebrate women this Women’s History month, we will explore the types of relationships women seek to succeed.

Our relationships are very important to us and we jump through hoops and do all that we can to make these personal relationships work. But do these relationships work when we’re making the effort to succeed with them on our own?

Some women are attracted to bad boys; they may be alcoholics, married men, or men with an attitude. I believe some women like these elements of danger in their relationships, thinking they’re the one woman who will make a difference in that man’s life. They will be the one who will make him faithful. They will be the one who gets him sober or they will be the one to change him. That kind of thinking may be dangerous, when in all actuality ladies, YOU CANNOT CHANGE A MAN!!!!!

Women are smart, some women even successful; but are making all the wrong choices when it comes to choosing a man. Are you in a relationship with the right man? Are these many theories correct? That smart women are almost magnetically drawn to the wrong men?

Tune in Wednesday March 20, 2013 on “Conversations Of A Sistah” on “Conversations Live” as I discuss with my guest, Motivational Speaker, Author and Relationship Expert, ILinda Reese  as to why “Smart Women are making Wrong choices” in relationships!

IlindaReese_rodneybrownfx3.5x5Ilinda Reese (pictured here) is the Author of two Books on Relationships. As a Relationship Coach Ilinda teaches how to navigate the sometimes bumpy road of managing marriage, friends, family and work related relationships.
