Conversations Of A Sistah, Michi Egger, Young talent

She’s young, smart, talented and more!… Meet Michi Egger tonight on “Conversations Of A Sistah”

IMG_2748 edit

I checked out an ‘open mic’ event a couple of weeks ago where I witnessed raw talent in the making., and was extremely impressed when I sat next to a pretty young woman fiddling around with her guitar. Her mannerism is what impressed me, then I was blown away after she performed.

For the sake of being careful and not revealing too much, she introduced herself as Michi Egger, a guitarist/singer/songwriter, who lives in the NYC area. A native of Pennsylvania, who began studying music at the age of five and as an eleven year old, began working professionally as a jazz/blues guitarist.

Michiko Egger released her first CD of original songs when she was sixteen. She is a BMI artist and has her own publishing company, Candygirl Music. Her music is currently being played on radio stations around Pennsylvania. Her fourth studio album, Castles in the Air, is due out in July 2014.

I think that my music is sort of a window into my life, or into my head. If you want to know me for who I really am, just listen.”

-Michi

I like her quote. She sounds like she has a love for music. It’s true… you wanna know someone read what they’re about. Lyrics will speak in words and music.

  7. Michi’s style plain and simple. when the song first started out it sounded like she was RAPPING. Her voice was in low tone like that. But I need to hear more of her music.

    1. Stop starting rumors. I doubt the girl was high fool. A little nervous maybe. You weren’t in her shoes., therefore you don’t know what’s it like to speak with a large audience. It was apparent she’s more comfortable performing.

      1. This girl is doing something positive and started at age 15 while you have kids that age shootin up schools n killing their teachers, parents and grandparents. Kudos to Michi for being that example that some parents sow good seed and good things and reap the harvest of the best and she’s that glowing example of such.
