“President Obama Wants To Appease The Gays”

By not addressing this whole gay marriage issue!

Obama said in January that he is still wrestling with whether gay couples should have the right to marry. He said his feelings on the issue continue to evolve but he still believes in allowing strong civil unions.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that, at Obama’s direction, it would not defend the Defense of Marriage Act in a court case where it’s being challenged.

Spokesman Jay Carney said Obama has always opposed the Defense of Marriage Act as “unnecessary and unfair.” But Carney said there’s no change to how Obama views gay marriage itself.

The President is displaying his compromising spirit on this issue, all because he’s looking to be re-elected in 2012. He’s compromising his integrity by staying quiet on his position regarding gay/same-sex marriage…

The one thing I respected about former President Bush, he stated he was against gay marriage and the lifestyle of homosexuality and didn’t give a damn what people thought about his moral position on the subject.

Yeah Having a politician that wouldn’t change his mind might get us in a situation where say he thought there where Weapons of Mass Destruction then come to find out it wasn’t really like that he might just gone go to War anyway <—- Hypothetical might need someone who is willing to Think about things then respond

    3) The RePUBElicans will never let statewide gay marriage happen
    4) Marriage isn’t as sacred as those that oppose gay marriage want to think/want us to believe. If it’s not hurting anyone, who the fluck cares?

  8. It’s America marry what or who you want. Just don’t ask for incentives. In America marriage is defined as a relationship between a man and woman. Health care and head of household rules don’t apply if you want to marry your blow-up doll.

  11. I don’t see what’s the big deal. Im sure his experience as President thus far has changed how he views a lot of things. He seems more willing to listen to ideas and collectively do what will be better for America (as f**k’d up as this country can be at times, thats no easy task).

    And he is doing what EVERY president does around re-election time…..well except for Bushs who decide to evoke fear in Americans by starting wars.

  13. Obama has always been clear about his stance on gay marriage, but recently he said in light of this recent decision “my opinion on this issue is evolving.” What more can you ask for? We live in a world where racism is still very much alive – do we really think we can make homophobia disappear completely? As long as there’s a black church – better yet any church – we can forget it!

  15. Clearly Barak and Michelles Union is solid and allowing gays to get married wouldnt change that and that is what he has comes to terms with, seperating his personal beleif from the law.

  18. All liberals should read this and understand the problem that Obama is creating by NOT defending the Constituti­on. How about the courts decide that same sex marriage is legal and the next president decided not to enforce that and let states not issue marriage licenses?

    Enforcing laws based on the next election or who screams the loudest will get America into mob rule.

    1. You are incorrect. The law applies to everyone. Everyone, including gays, have a right to get married as long it is to a person of the opposite sex.

      What the law prevents is changing the accepted definition of marriage which is between a man and a woman.
