“Kwame Kilpatrick Back In The News”

An attorney representing the family of murder victim Tamara “Strawberry” Greene (both in the top picture above), says a fellow stripper is “very scared” after testifying how she witnessed Greene dancing at a long-rumored party thrown by former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick (pictured with his wife Carlita) at the Manoogian Mansion.

In a 131-page legal brief unsealed Sunday, the Greene family attorney Norman Yatooma says, dancer Tamara Ruffin testified she was not only at the party, but witnessed Carlita Kilpatrick assault Greene after she gave the mayor a lap dance.

Ruffin testified how the former mayor of Detroit (Kwame Kilpatrick’s) private mansion party was laced with marijuana and cocaine along with uniformed DPD officers providing security for the then mayor.

Ruffin also testified that while Green was performing a lap-dance for Kilpatrick, she heard Carlita Kilpatrick say, “What the fuck is going on here?” “Who is this bitch?” “Bitch, get the fuck off my husband.”

Ruffin then observed Carlita Kilpatrick and Greene engaged in a fist fight and said that, Greene appeared to be winning the fight until Carlita Kilaptrick struck Greene in the head with an object described as being “a two by four, could have been a baton, could have been a table leg, but it was big.”

As the fight escalated, Ruffin made a hasty exit from the Manoogian Mansion, running a couple of houses down and hiding behind a car.  It was from this location that Ruffin was able to observe the arrival of three Detroit Police cars.

Ruffin is the second self-described eye-witness to come forward in recent months and describe the never-proven party.  Various attempts by the media to reach her have been unsuccessful, but Yatooma denies he has put her up in a safe house pending the outcome of the case.

Tamara Greene was murdered a couple of months later after this party in a drive by shooting, as she sat in a parked car with her boyfriend.

Greene’s family alleges Kilpatrick and other city leaders conspired to block an investigation into Greene’s murder and that Ruffin and another witnesses testimony will provide a possible reason for the cover-up.

Kilpatrick resigned as mayor of Detroit in 2008 and is currently serving time in state prison for violating the terms of his probation in another case.

  1. If Ms. Ruffins’ testimony is accurate, then she has reason to be fearful….if her testimony is not accurate, then she still has reason to be fearful….so why would she lie???

Tamara ‘strawberry’ greene is dead and both the mayor and his wife had something to do with it.

Trace followed this story on her old blog some time ago…2bad we can’t see those archives.

  3. What has happened to this young lady is the tip of the iceberg. After everything that has come out about King Kwame, is there anymore doubt? The Kilpatrick family has been shown to be as ruthless as Saddam Hussein and his sons towards those who oppose their “reign.” Blaming the “other” women who sleep with King Kwame has been par for the course. This is third world nation stuff in our own backyard. Christine Beatty should be thankful that she left town in good health.

    1. I agree Flo: Why was she slapping the strippere? She was invited to the house to do what she does. Why slap her? Why be upset with a stripper for giving lap dances? If anything she should have been slapping Kwame.

    2. Isn’t it funny how the only woman she beat down was the one who was simply doing her job! What about the woman who pretended to be her friend (Beatty) or the other women (Wood, the Jamaican woman at the barber shop, the one who greeted him at the apartment building with nothing on but a fur coat and WHO KNOWS HOW MANY OTHER WOMEN)? Strawberry wouldn’t have even been there if she weren’t getting paid to be there! And carlita still stands by her man. What a pathetic example of womanhood!

what’s wrong wit that picture @Ace., alot!

    2. The problem is that almost every crooked, dirty action that the Kilpatricks’ has always denied, has usually come out in the wash, as being true. There is too much smoke for the Kilpatricks’ fire to deny Greene danced at the Mansion, or was bumped off by some hangers for Kwame.

      I agree with you mrs.

    3. It’s been too many years of smoke and no fire to be true. There is no way that many people could have kept their mouths shut for so many years. Kwame Killpatrick stepped on far too many toes for someone other than a worn out stripper to step forward and say something.

    6. What evidence have they produced besides rumor that anything happened that warrents a trial? Tamara Greene was in a car with a dope dealer and was killed in a driveby shooting. She wasn’t even the intended target. You can’t have a trial just because you don’t like someone.

It has already been stated, Tamara’s phone log does have many calls from City owned phones after the party, but the City of Detroit will not released who the numbers were assigned to.

When a 40 police veteran states the trajectory of the bullets were all intended for Green AND the killer drove by Mitchell and didn’t shot at him again, proves Green was the target.

City of Detroit attorney’s will try to disdcredit the testimony of this dancer. To date, this is as good as it gets as far as damaging testimony. Let all the people who were in attendance of the party be known. What do they have to hide except their already ruined reputations. Telephone records from the deceased dancer may seal the case.

Kwame was a crook period!!!! The whole kilpatrick clan has proven to be just that as well.

if kilpatrick lied, cheated and tried to cover up an affair with his cheif of staff, wtf you think happened on his trail of destruction?

    10. Say what you want about the stripper’s testimony, believe it or not …she was there!

And believe this: Two of Kilpatrick’s police bodyguards, Loronzo (Greg) Jones and Mike Martin, were caught on videotape attending Greene’s funeral.

they were caught on video tape that the Reverend conducting the funeral was thoughful enough to save for Yatooma (The Greene Family lawyer).

There are too many facts in this case and I hope each and every one of them are proven.

Their attendance at Tamara Greene’s funeral appears to be the most important new fact (it’s on tape) in this brief.

KK was trying to protect his image, and didn’t want a beat up (by his wife?) stripper ruining the party?

Hospital records for Tamara Greene disappeared (an EMT worker saw her at the hospital that night).

There are rumors that possibly Greene was asking KK for hush money. Did KK get upset and have her (and another stripper from the alleged party, who moved to Atlanta) murdered?

Mm…trust me the plot is thick!

  6. There’s a lot of conspiracies about the death of this stripper. What they also don’t tell u is that she was abused severely by a former boyfriend two days prior to her murder.

The guy gave her two black eyes and he was threatening her life. There has been no concrete evidence that a party ever existed and no one ever came forward saying that there was one but I truly believe there was one and a lot of facts are hidden by the police and the city.

Just for the sake of her three children and family, they deserve closure.

  8. What I would like to know is., since kwame’s in jail how is Carlita making her living since she is not working??? where is the money coming from to support her and the children???!!

    1. We keep hearing about this party and how out of control it was. I just have to ask where would Carlita get a spare table leg or a two by four from in order to hit someone?
Is it just lying around the mansion? Why haven’t the neighbors come forward and said anything about a wild party? They seem to be the only one’s not being interviewed for this case or story.

Kwame’s circle of inclusion has imploded why haven’t more people come forward and spilled their guts?

I feel for the Greene family, but it seems Yatooma is just trying to get a pay day, I’m sure he took the case under the contingency of a big payout and now all the billable hours and energy that has gone into this case, must make him even more desperate to keep it going so he can recoup some of his losses. I think that is his main motivation.

    2. Exactly @Zion.,
Say you attended, and you’re a stripper, an average guy or a drug dealer and you provided all of the coke, and the drugs for the party. And you see DPD’s top brass and uniformed officers there, along with the AG, prominent business leaders, and the city mayor. There’s tons of drugs and craziness going on, and then things get out of hand, and a stripper gets beaten. You’re told to keep quiet about it, and in a few months, you hear/see the stripper end up dead. You see cops getting fired for looking into her death. You see the case go the AG, who you know was there, and he stops it. Why would you risk your neck to talk, knowing you’re going up against the power of Detroit elite?

Hell yeah a party went down, people just never talked about it., cause just like kwame’s azz was on the line, their’s wpuld be too for being there and allowing the shit to get outta hand.

  10. This would be easy enough to prove or disprove her story. If there are any records of calls to Tamara Greene from a phone Carlita would have used, they should have all they need to at least shed some light on this “urban legend”.

The Kilpatrick’s aren’t smart enough to think ahead and use equipment that can’t be traced to them. They’ve proven that repeatedly.

I don’t see this as a laughing matter.

A dope dealer thug would not leave any witnesses, he would’ve killed both Tamara and the guy she was with. A hit man kills his target only, which is what happened.

  14. Why should the city settle with this greedy family? I thought they already completed the investigation, and they said that her death was related to the business carried on by the guy who was in the car with her. Even if there was a party, even if these strippres were there. Who cares? She’s a stripper and wasn’t hanging around high class people to begin with. If Kwame is responsible for this, why didn’t all the other strippers show up dead too?

    1. That is why pieces of the story are coming. KK and the Kool-Aid gang are not smart enough to hide and keep at bay at least 50 witnesses, including the person that saw the police report against Carlita, the officer and ambulance workers that saw Ms. Greene after the fact. There is a great saying – when two people share a secret, it will stay a secret if one of them is dead.

    2. I think it has just gone much further than the people involved thought. I think there were prominent men there who were promised privacy in return for a great time partying with the new mayor at his mansion. Once a crime was committed, they couldn’t very well confess that they were at a stripper/coke/weed party now could they? I don’t think they thought that anyone would end up dead and we would still be intrigued by the events of that night eight years later. Remember, if you don’t want to get busted doing something wrong…..DON’T DO IT!!!

    3. We keep hearing how there is no evidence to back these claims up. Where’s the evidence for this, that & the other thing?

It’s simple. It’s been destroyed, deleted, thrown out, shredded, vaporized, vanished into thin air, intimidated into appearing, threatened, demoted, fired, transferred, harassed & all & out feared to come forward. And no ones talking about nothing.

It’s really a shame, that so much time & energy went into destroying so much. Most of this could have been cleared up years ago; were it not for the corruption of those involved in all the disppearing documents.

Even when court ordered to produce documentation etc., they willfully destroy to continue their denial of wrongdoing.

Why would all of this happened for no reason? If there was “nothing” by way of evidence, why destroy it all? Wouldn’t it clear things up on it’s own merit?

    4. Here is the thing – if there was a party what kind of people were at it?

Do you think it was top flight folks with sterling reputations?

No, it was the lowest of the low and none of these people will be “respected” members of society. Perhaps there was a head of industry or a big wig of some sort and so now it became very important to cover this up.

The investigations in Detroit will go on for years to come as more things come to light. Ms. Greene did not deserve what happened, but in the big picture that is the smallest crime that the Gang members of Chumpatrick have commited.

    2. Just finished reading the entire 130+ pages filed by Yatooma.

Outside of the revelation that Yatooma was able to find and depose a second dancer from the party – Ms. Ruffin – confirming that there was INDEED a party in which Carlita assaulted Ms. Greene (Sorry, Cox!), the motion itself is really nothing more than a re-cap of what we’ve already known. (Wished our gurl didn’t lose her archives)

      There WAS a party…

EVERYONE in the DPD who tried to investigate the party and/or Ms. Greene’s death was fired, demoted, or transferred…

ALL of the relevent evidence was destroyerd…

EVERYONE who helped Kwame in the cover-up was promoted quickly up the ranks in the DPD…

When questioned by Yatooma in their depositions, EVERYONE plead the 5th Amendment…

This should be a no-brainer for a jury – now let’s just hope that the FEDS step in and charge the whole Kilpatrick gang with Obstruction of justice, Evidence Tampering, and the BIG one – Conspiracy to Commit Murder!!!

      Justice demands it!!!!
