Her fiancé’s Sean Bell was killed in a hail of bullets four years ago on their wedding day, and now she’s running for Queen’s City Council.
With absolutely no experience under her belt, Nicole Paultre Bell, pictured with the good ole Rev. Al Sharpton, said her platform centers on education reform, elderly care and improving police and community relations.
“What happened to me four years ago – I didn’t expect that to happen,” Bell said in an exclusive interview with the Daily News officially announcing her candidacy.
The one obstacle facing Nicole Paultre is that she doesn’t reside in the Jamaica, Queens, district she wants to represent. She lives in Far Rockaway with her father, who provides an extra set of hands for her two girls, Jada, 7, and Jordyn, 4.
Nicole plans to move back to the Jamaica area in the next few weeks, the deadline to move into the district is Election Day.
No experience or not, I’m impressed by the fact that, Nicole Paultre Bell wants to get involved in order to ignite change!
She’s looking to turn her negative into a positive and that alone, demonstrates her strength and courage in the wake of such a horrible tragedy.
My hope is that she wins!!!!

Someone should ask her basic questions to see if she has any legitimacy. Such as how many council members represent the borough of Queens? How many in all of NYC? Present her with a map of Queens and ask her to draw the lines of her district. How many people live in her district? Etc. If any “reporter” at the Daily News had any fuckin sense they would ask her these questions.

I think people like her make the best politicians, because she has a bird-eye’s view when it comes to advocating for wrongful deaths and police brutality. Why not her? Would you rather some jaded individual who’s too old to relate and or culturally distant from certain issues like most politicians?

First of all, she is not his “wife”. They were not married, and her attention-grabbing stunt of changing her last name will not change that.
Secondly, why the hell would ANYONE with any sense vote for some babymomma with no experience or education? She’s a black Sarah Palin with less education, experience and style. She is known for almost marrying a man who was killed by the police. Period. She has no business even trying to run for public office, and she will fail miserably. That’s just what a poor community needs: another “politician” with nothing to offer and everything to gain.

I was one of the new black panther who rallied for sean bell. Because for too long our black people have been getting shot down like birds or get noose hung around their innocent necks. The younger generation has no future but to go to jail, prison or the death penalties or become crack head or drugs dealer with baby mama drama. Sista bell you must run for something and do not give up and when u get In office shout down acs, cps, most police racist dept and some hospital that use our black people like ginny pigs.
