The Christmas season is the grand finale to the end of another year and with the holidays upon us, some of us shop right up until the last-minute for that special gift.

With each passing year there’s always one product or merchandise that winds up on my list of favorite things. This year one of the items which made my list is the bath and body products by Arbonne International.

I’m a dye-heart all around proactive body wash and facial user but must admit, the products that I’ve purchased from Arbonne have me sold out for their goodness and I’m hooked thus far!

Arbonne takes care of the whole man, not just with their exhilarating bath and body products but they provide nutritional supplements and detoxing essentials as well.

Their products are a bit pricey however well worth the dollar in making wonderful gift ideas this holiday season.

The bath and body sets pictured above are the Ginger Citrus Luxury Gift Set and the Awaken Bath and Shower Gel, which includes, the Awaken Sea Salt Scrub, the Awaken Body Lotion and not pictured is the Awaken massage oil.

When I tell you these products not only smell divine but they will leave a lasting aroma in your shower and on your sheets to relax you completely.

And two (one male and one female), of my lucky Ceo blog readers will win this set which is for both, men and women as one of my ‘favorite things’ giveaway. All you have to do is tell me: What have you done for someone to make a difference in their lives this year?

Then join me tonight at 8:00 PM on “Conversations Of A Sistah” via “Conversations Live” as I sound off live for this year with my special guest Ann Marie Pusterla, District Manager and Independent Consultant with Arbonne International. I fell in love with the products the moment I started using them and decided that I would like to represent pure, safe, beneficial products.  Arbonne products are botanically based and do not include any chemicals.  Once you begin to use their products you too will fall in love with the results, the change in your skin and the feeling of being renewed.

“I Dined At One Of My Favorite Restaurants Last Night”

Biggie’s Restaurant and Seafood tavern.

I’ve blogged about this spot before and yes it is a regular eatery for me on any given night.

For appetizers we had the fried calamari and I had the seafood pasta, included with large shrimp and huge scallop. My dinner companion had the fried tilapia sandwich with sautéed baby spinach.

When I was there on Tuesday night I had the seafood bisque soup.

The food is awesome, the atmosphere friendly and the staff professional.

Biggie’s has three locations, Hoboken, Carlstadt and Asbury Park, New Jersey., so if you’re ever in their neighborhood make sure you stop by.

All photos not actual.

Have a nice weekend Family!!!!! 🙂

“We Dined At Morton’s Steak House On Friday”

This is not a soul food restaurant NO, but we dined here Friday night because it was a birthday celebration and restaurant of choice for the celebratory occassion.

Morton’s steakhouse is an upscale restaurant and a bit expensive, the food is excellent and well worth its portions. And in such a challenging economy they have many specials that two can choose from, but the selections are still very pricey.

They give you this awesome food presentation before they take your order, with these huge vegetables and a live lobster to drive home their food inclusions. Their family style sides are huge and more than plentiful.

Everyone in my crew had steaks, from filet mignon to porter house prime., I chose the salmon with these huge shrimp included. Our sides were; mashed potatoes, asparagus, onion rings and brocoli.

For dessert I had the warm chocolate lava cake pictured below.

I say, dine at Morton’s Steak house, if it’s even to treat yourself, it’s worth the splurge at least once a year.

Please join me in wishing my Pisces crony (February 25) –> a very Happy Birthday! 🙂

“We Dined At Billie Black’s Last Night”

And all I have to say is, Sylvia might be the Queen of soul food but Billie’s Black must be the King!

Located in one of my favorite neighborhoods, Harlem New York, this restaurant served up some serious soul food to satisfy our appetites.

To conclude and commemorate black history month, me and my staff started our weekend restaurant excursion, that we’re calling our “tour de-soul“, where we will patronize and dine at black owned restaurants from Thursday through Sunday.

Billie’s Black’s have a happy hour and the heifers on my staff had to be there for that, because of course you all know; blog queen don’t drink!!!!

Let me get right to our menu choices: for appetizers, we had fried chicken wings, catfish strips, salmon cakes and shrimp cocktail.

For dinner our choices were: BBQ salmon, chili red snapper, carolina stewed chicken, Billie’s grand BBQ ribs and the fried catfish, they kept calling it crack fish.

Our sides were: potato salad, lima beans, black-eye peas, collard greens, mac&cheese and mashed potatoes <-(what can I say, there’s a white girl in my crew).

Parking not the best however we had no issues.

So, whenever you’re in the mood for some soul food diversity check out Billie’s Black, there’s something for everyone and it’s well worth the trip.

“This AA Pioneer Is Today’s Mr. Fashionista”

His name is Ira J. Perry, a stylist and the real definition of today’s fashionista.

Ira’s motto, which is one that he lives by, and that is “I am fashion”

“I really like connecting to people through clothing” Ira said during our phone conversation, “doctors do it by being hands on, some artist do it through song but for me it’s all about your wardrobe”.

“Wardrobe-ing someone through clothing is my thing because I have an eye for detail.” “Fashion is my life, my love and my passion.”

Ira works with both men and women within his clientele and as a straight man, he can appreciate styling both sexes however he said “He can always appreciate seeing a well-dressed sexy woman.”

Mr. Perry gravitated toward fashion because, fashion was his environment growing up as a kid.

We came from a well dressed family; which is why Ira can appreciate fashion and style.

Mr. Fashionista is not only my cousin and my heart, but he drove his fashion point home, when he reminded me why, we love the movie “Mahogany” so much and how Diana Ross’ fashion was so on point!

He talked about the fashion in that movie, particularly the scene when Tracy Chambers (Diana Ross’ character), walked into that fashion agency wearing the flared fitted dress, with the cape and wide brim hat; carrying a clutch wearing the pumps to match.

We both agreed, fashion such as Diana Ross’ wardrobe in Mahogany, may only be found today in thrift shops. Ira knows this, because he thrift shop (s) as often as he can.

Currently working in a corporate setting as a fashion consultant, Ira is based in New York city and affiliated with the Thomas Faison Agency.

He has previously worked with individuals such as, “Kiss the DJ”, “Master of the mix”, a recent reality series and many other high-end associates.

You can read more about Ira’s work and his creativity at his blogspots here and the morning dish – Both sites have been added to this forum.

Please join me in saluting, Ira Jacques Perry, as a modern-day pioneer and today’s fashionista!
