I received a gift card in the mail yesterday from a loyal reader.,(who shall remain anonymous). His gift card came along with a CD from “Drake” who is a rapper and a singer I’m told.

This loyal reader wrote the following:

Oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, oh you fancy huh, You getting ready so I know we gon be here awhile, in the bathroom flat irons and nail files, spending hours in salons on your hairstyle, in the mall steady racking up all dem air miles”.

“Well aren’t you a breath of fresh air from all these superficial gold digging bitches in here” they get a baller and think that they aint got to pick a career, guess they plan on sucking dicks until some millions appear”

“I met you at a book event in CT and then again in NY and checked out how your style was tight, your hair and nails be done and you greeted me with your smile, make it so bad, you can take it up or bring it down…. Damn I think you bad!” “Damn I think you fine” “You had this brief case on wheels and I wanted to cop a feel”.

“I hope you enjoy the CD and know that reading your blog is like an inside look into your life and mind”

I never heard of this artist Drake, nor do I listen to his music and while I’m on the subject; I don’t listen to T.I., Swizz Beatz, Sean Combs, Neyo, Lil Wayne, Shawty Low, Soldier Boy, Kanye West, Lady Gaga and any other new rap artist out today.

It is understandable how I might be viewed and superficially perceived, however the core of my being is so much more than my fancy (i.e.,hair and nails).

In addition, the foul and profane language of the lyrics in this CD are both degrading and extremely disrespectful.

But thank you reader, the thought was sweet, your heart was in the right place and the gift card commendable; but trust and believe, my qualities are extreme and far more meaningful than you are able to see.

Facebook is all a craze these days and individuals are really over the top with this social networking site.

A little over a year ago my administrator Carolyn created a Facebook page for me, with strict instructions and a concrete understanding, that the purpose is strictly for easy access to my websites for extended business purposes only!

However, some Facebook users have taken this social networking site to whole another level!!!

We have some Facebook users informing other users of their “whereabouts” (24-7), “their bathroom breaks”, you have the “back and forth bickering” for all to read, “everybody’s holy and saved” now, so you have the “Bible thumping”, “scripture quoting users”, “personal attacks with the hidden agendas”, “pedicure updates”, “I’m around the corner updates” “Sharing personal conversation” and the “vacation updates” (with pictures from start to finish).

I mean this social networking site has really been turned into this “ghetto forum” and an offensive playground, which can all become a liability!!!

If there is no objective there, it’s a forum downgraded to a level of useless and petty. Point-blank!

And now Facebook have the nerve to be adding a new feature that will allow its users to “check into” boutiques, bars, restaurants and theaters, then share their location, via Facebook, with friends.

It’s a setup people!!!!

No one should know where you are at all times and communication should always be limited to the proper degree. Why? Because there is a time and a place for everything and your Facebook page should not be the place.
