“Some Words Of Wisdom From The Queen”

Not me but Queen Latifah, recently sat down with Sister2Sister magazine for an in-depth interview and discussed what make women sexy.

“I just like ladies who have class. Period,” she said, “and if it’s ‘T and A’ you’re sellin,’ that’s fine, as long as that’s what you’re selling. But you don’t have to show everything, you know?”

“You can hold some back and just be yourself and let your personality shine and let your individuality show. To me, that’s sexier. A confident woman is a sexy woman, in my opinion. And I think guys find that to be the same way.”

You don’t have to show everything; you don’t have to put it all out there to attract a guy. Because what kind of guy are you gonna attract? What is he really looking for? If you wanna be a booty call, I guess you can throw it all out there. But if you’re looking for a relationship with someone who respects you and respects things other than your body—your mind, your spirit, your personality, your smile—then you have to kind of exude that more so than just yo’ booty and yo’ titties.

I hope the Queen’s words of wisdom don’t fall on deaf ears, because some of these heifers today, leave absolutely nothing to the imagination. Some women have no concept of self-respect because the black community in general promotes disrespect in all areas, from our lifestyles to our art and music.

“Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony call it quits”

In 2004, J-Lo fell in love with Latin lover singer Marc Anthony — while he was still married to Dayanarra Torres (the couple had 2 children). Marc filed for divorce from his wife that same year and within months he and Lopez were married.

Torres said her ex-husband’s cheating devastated her: “I cried until there were no tears left — until I was numb.”

Today, Just one month after celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary, J-Lo and Marc have called it quits.

“We have decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a statement to E! News. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

“Remembering Michael J. Jackson”

Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he died of a drug overdose two years ago today.

Jackson’s oldest son, Prince, 14 and his sister Paris, 13, are doing different charitable events to commemorate Jackson’s memory. The two were spotted on the eve of the 2nd anniversary of Jackson’s death going to a movie.

In the meantime, Michael Jackson’s personal physician Conrad Murray is currently on trial for causing the singer’s death.

“Alicia Don’t Care What Y’all Think”

The 30-year-old singer and her music producer husband Swizz Beatz, 32, displayed their deep love and affection for each other at the “Keep a Child Alive Black Ball” dinner at Camden Roundhouse in London yesterday. Alicia doesn’t care that strangers are still angry at her for breaking up Swizz Beats’ marriage to VIBE writer Mashonda. No one knows the true story of how she and Swizz came to be together.

“We didn’t start seeing each other until months after they had separated,” Keys said in a recent interview.

Alicia and Swizz, real name Kasseem Dean, wed in July of last year on the French island of Corsica while she was six months pregnant with their first child, Egypt. Another factor in the breakup of Swizz’s marriage was a fling with a British woman who gave birth to his only daughter, Nicole, now 3.

Swizz has 4 children — that we know of just yet.

“Jesus Take The Wheel, Whitney Has A Lung Disease?”

The R&B singer is reportedly suffering from a life-threatening lung disease emphysema, and doctors have warned her that she will die a horrible death if she doesn’t quit smoking and quick.

Whitney’s lungs have taken a beaten over the years and during her world tour last year, critics and fans were shocked and mystified when she became breathless on stage and had to halt performances while she recovered.

Singing and smoking is no mix for an R&B Diva, as Toni Braxton stressed (cause Lord knows them Braxton girls can sang), alcohol is a “no-no” for a belting singer as well.

According to online sources, Whitney is suffering early stages of this disease but has been warned by doctors to quit smoking in order to save her life.

Let’s pray for her people, that she’ll kick this demonic habit for good !
