Some of us would rather hold onto what is eating us on the inside instead of dealing with it head on. Many of us are not comfortable with confrontation or the idea of appearing vulnerable or weak.
So we hold onto what is ailing us on the inside, until it’s masked within as bitterness, hurt, pain and resentment. Why? When addressing what ails us can set us FREE!!! It’s all in the delivery and I’ll tell you how and why?
For many Americans, this holiday season marked the first time they were planning to take a trip away from home in months. In September, travel booking site Hopper polled 850 people about whether they’re planning to travel for the holidays this year, and 55 percent said it was going to be their first time traveling since the start of the pandemic.
Despite CDC warning Americans shouldn’t travel this holiday season, millions are taking to the skies and highways to get home this holiday season. The end of the year is sneaking up on us quick, and people are weighing travel plans to join friends and family for the holidays against the backdrop of asurge of the Covid-19 pandemic.
CDC is reminding everyone that traveling does increase transmission risk for COVID-19 and that gatherings with those you do not live with can increase the chances of getting or spreading COVID-19 or the flu. According to the CDC, staying home is the best way to protect yourself and others. But are you traveling anyway?
The holidays are upon us and with Thanksgiving just a week away people are anxious for connection. The isolation is not good for one’s metal health and let’s face it, some people are simply isolated due to Covid. The stress of getting it, not getting it is wreaking havoc on the nerves. We’re tired of hearing about it. Tired of talking about it, tired of wearing masks just plain old tired.
Unfortunately during this time of year and with where we are with COVID-19 and this pandemic, this is the time to be even more vigilant and more determined.
THE ELECTION was last Tuesday November 3rd. Vice president Joe Biden is the projected winner with 16 electoral votes as Pennsylvania ushered him into the 46th President of these United States. Joe Biden’s supporters were dancing in the streets. But only half the nation was celebrating, and the nation’s divisions remain on stark display.
In my hood there were banging pots, honking horns, primal shouts — burst from all directions as people stood on balconies and shouted in the streets and across driveways in excitement. But not everyone was dancing. And not everyone was happy.
A record number of more than 77 million Americans had voted for Mr. Biden, the Democratic challenger, and his running mate, Kamala Harris, the first woman elected as vice president. Also true was that more than 71 million others now had to grapple with the concept that their candidate — Donald J. Trump, the Republican incumbent — would most likely be branded by his own worst epithet: LOSER. And the only hope being offered by their leader (President Trump) is a vow to challenge in the courts what he asserted, without evidence, was a fraudulent election.
So for some, the election is over but for in denial, it’s not!!!

The days, months and weeks leading up to this election have been messy, violent, riddled with racial injustice, aggressive outrage and a global pandemic. Businesses in New York, California and Washington, DC were boarded up early ahead of violence or election outcome unrest.
