Cissy Houston not in agreement with Lifetime movie Bio Of Whitney!

Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy Houston breaks her silence regarding the upcoming Whitney Houston biopic directed by Angela Bassett on Lifetime television.

Cissy tells ET:

“Lifetime has chosen to go ahead with the movie about Whitney in spite of my family’s objections. No one connected with this movie knew Whitney or anything about her relationship with Bobby.”

“In the two years since Whitney’s death, many people have stepped forward to speak about their close relationship with her. I find it difficult to believe people who knew and supposedly loved her would participate in a movie about her done by folks who didn’t know her. We are exhausted by the continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her. Please please let her rest.”

  1. How did Angela pull this movie off if she doesn’t have authentic information about Whitney and Bobby? And wouldn’t you want the family’s blessing to a movie about their loved one? What is Angela going on for information?

  2. Some people claim that Angela and Whitney were borderline besties and that they were good friends because they worked on Waiting To Exhale together? Cut the bullshit. Angela doesn’t seem that nice or even genuine to me, so i know damn well she and Whitney wasn’t that close.

  3. Damn at least have some respect for WH’s mom. She’s old and she probably feels some type of way about everything that went down with her very talented, but troubled only daughter. Cut Cissy some slack people.

  4. Cissy Houston has never come off ‘mean’ or ‘manipulative’ to me. She’s older and is set in her ways. I don’t understand why people are always out to crucify Cissy over Whitney when those same people were the main ones making up jokes and parodies about Whitney’s life and legacy. Smh

  5. It has nothing to do with “not knowing Whitney.” It has everything to do with covering up what a train wreck this woman raised. Based upon everything I’ve seen from this woman, it’s no wonder she raised a daughter who turned to drugs for relief.

  6. Cissy is from the underworld – the late night shows and lounges she performed at – This woman is no ANGEL and I don’t believe her and Whitney were ever close nor did Whitney receive a maternal love from Cissy

  8. Sorry I respect Cissy Houston n all but the family was not complaining when they did that ridiculous reality show “the Houstons” on lifetime or that Oprah interview soon after Whitney had passed.

I thought that was shameful!!!! Whitney only passed away for one month n they started doing reality shows and interviews

  9. They were ALL ON her pay role. Whitney was the family’s cash cow., which is why they could never tell her the truth. Had they done so she MIGHT still be alive today. Smh
