“11-Year Old Boy Arrested For Teasing Muslim Classmate”

An 11-year-old Staten Island boy was arrested and thrown into jail yesterday for allegedly teasing a 13-year-old Muslim girl.

Osman Daramy, pictured above, with his feet shackled in chains, appeared in a New York courtroom today. His stepfather, Frank Davies also attended the proceedings which was covered extensively by the media. Apparently, the little boy called the Muslim girl names and attempted to snatch her religious headdress off. The incident has been labled an anti-muslim hate crime.

Pipsqueak punk Osman Daramy was all obnoxious smiles and obscene gestures yesterday as he was hauled into court on hate-crime charges for allegedly assaulting and trying to rip off the religious headdress of a female Muslim classmate.

The 11-year-old Osman — whose own mother is a Muslim — had taunted the 13-year-old girl during one assault, saying, “Aren’t you the Muslim girl we beat up? We’ll beat you up again,” a prosecutor alleged yesterday.

“It was not one incident. It was a continued course of behavior,” Assistant District Attorney Teresa Wilson told a Staten Island Family Court judge a day after Osman’s arrest.

Daramy was charged with third-degree assault as a hate crime and have a history of being a “kid out of control”. School staffers described the sixth-grader as a wild child who “does whatever he wants.”

“He’s out of control,” a staffer said. “I’ve seen him run through the hallways like a terror. He will hit students he doesn’t even know.”

On Monday, Daramy chopped off a fellow student’s hair and caused a ruckus as he ran around the classroom waving a pair of scissors, a source said.

Daramy was also one of five kids who robbed a deliveryman dropping off pizza and soda to an “IS 49” after-school program two weeks ago, sources said. He eluded arrest. So some staffers feel, this was long over due.

Yes ..shackle the boy feet…so he don’t kick anybody.. duh..I’m black.. right from the hood, with my 9 nine yr old son…Look..this is the image that they want to paint the black male because we are still the work horse or cattle for free labor in the prison system or slaves in this country. They make billions a year off of free prison labor. And of coarse they’re not going to get their own to do it..so what do they do..Make it against the law to whoop your kids..take prayer out of school..don’t hire black men then throw child support on him to separate the family..flood our neighborhood with drugs and polices, then give us life if we’re caught…Musilm fear and bashing is Way more in the white communities than blacks..but this cowardly, misslead black kid is the media poster boy for muslim hate crime?..His mom is Muslim..I didn’t know about this story in FLA untill I seen it on Fox news on O’really show, trying to figure out what these crazy republicans are thinking,trying to get a government shutdown but anyway…just give Me that boy for one month and he’ll be a straight ‘A” student..His parent ain’t S***!

  4. It is sad to say but unless he gets some Jesus, structure, therapy and a good ole ass whipping….this is just the beginning of a string of things he is going to get arrested for until he is killed in the street or prison. Poor child….who are his parents?

        Uh they are about to try and make it one, b/c this is considered a form of BULLYING! And with so many children taking their own lives b/c of it, it has to start and stop SOMEWHERE!

      4. Bullying has been around for a long time. But, the media seems to focus more on sexual orientation bully, and racial bullying.

        My whole thing is, if these parents would stop being so freaking lazy and talk some sense into their kids, we wouldn’t have to see so many stories of KIDS like this.

  12. apparently this 11 yo was consistently harassing and bullying the 13 yo… the shackles and the arrest are a shock – but he did say “didn’t we beat you up last time maybe his admission that he beat her up got him where’s he’s at”

  23. This 11 year old had beat this girl up before. He is sticking his middle finger up in his handcuffs.

    He has been suspended from school 3 times since January!!

    His 13 year old accomplice in beating up his classmate mugged a pizza delivery guy on the day she returned from suspension for stealing from a teacher’s purse.

    What you have here is a roving gang of juvenile delinquents and some punk parents making excuses for these kids!

    Lock his ass up and lock his parents up too!

      3. I was thinking to myself the police went to far on this one UNTIL I read he tried to pull her muslim headdress off – now that’s going too damn far! I say shackle his lil crazy azz and until he gets a clue. Yes, the bullying has gone to far and it’s going to get worst because we as a society keep passing off the responsibility of raising our children – it truly does take the ENTIRE VILLAGE!

        And how much responsibility can we really expect these wild kids to accept? I don’t trust them to self-correct themselves; I blame it on their Frontal Lobe (part of the brain that weighs consequence which usually isn’t fully development until a person reach their mid 20’s) Isn’t this what parents, school teachers and every adult citizen is suppose to do?   29. I don’t agree with the shackling of anybody’s 11 year old unless they committed murder, rape or some other crazy crime where they are a danger to themselves and the community. HOWEVER, bullying as a whole is really an issue that often goes overlooked. Be it sexual preference, religious affiliation or the standard back and forth that preteens/teens go through it’s still wrong to verbally and physically attack someone. This story is being highlighted the same way, one would be if the victim was homosexual.

    Bullying is an issue that needs to be addressed. I am sure another child hearing this story will think twice before approaching a peer in the manner that this kid did. And if only one person is touched by the story, then it served its purpose.

        With the smirk on his face you think that kid is worried about them shackles while giving the bird to the media – It’s odd to see on an 11 yo but this is not your normal 11 yo – that boys has problems and was prolly treated just like the other criminals regardless of age!

AN 11 YEAR OLD ARRESTED AND SHACKLED. i defy anyone to find a similar incident anywhere in the united states that has an 11 year old arrested for anything, or in this case being shackled. you don’t want to point the race card. but c’mon, i’m quite sure that racist acts have taken place against blacks folks all over, and a slap on the wrist is what it results in. i didn’t have to look at the photo, when i heard that it was an 11 year old arrested, the united states of racism told me he was black without even looking…..

    doesn’t excuse what he did by a long shot. but i’m fed up with incidents being blown up, while others get swept under the rug. a few years back, a gang of white boys (football players) from an influential neighborhood in jersey raped a retarded girl and it was pushed to the seventh page of the local paper. this shit sucks….
