“Madea’s Big Happy Family”

Tyler Perry continues to promote his upcoming play-turned-movie Madea’s Big Happy Family, by using blockbuster movies and popular culture icons as references for his posters. In his most recent promo poster, he’s dressed as Snooki in a hilarious spoof of the hit MTV Reality Show “Jersey Shore”.

He’s also done Black Swan, The King’s Speech, True Grit, The Brady Bunch, and The Godfather over the past few months.

“Madea’s Big Happy Family” opens in theatres April 22.

I think the “GEORGIA SHORE” one is the best … made me spit out my orange juice.

i think if u was molested 3 times by time u were 10…2 times by men and once by woman, i would agree his sexuality could be questioned.
Lt’s just thank God he’s channeling that energy by dressing up as woman instead of going out and molesting other kids!…

Mrs. Doubtfire was a man..in a movie dressed up as a woman. Not a man playing a woman. In the Doubtfire movie…..we all knew he was a man. Its a difference. If thats what you into.

      4. By the way these men are doing comedy, not selling themselves to the devil like these people doing reality t.v.

and SoldierBoy, make up your mind as to who’s side you’re on. be either for or against!

      5. I find it amazing that people will be the first to criticize a brother who, for the most part, has positive messages in his movies, yet we’ll sit down to a diet of foolishness we know as reality TV.

Men have always dressed up like women. Many of you might be too young to remember Flip Wilson’s, Geraldine. It’s comedy meant for a cetain demographic. If it doesn’t suit you, don’t watch.

  4. I think these posters are hilarious. Truly I’m getting a lil tired of Madea , but I will still support my brother. And I’m sure he could care less what anyone thinks with his filthy rich @$$. 

  5. Lmao too funny. I like Tyler Perry. I don’t like all of his movies but I may check this one out. Why does he look so natural in this wig though ??? Don’t really like the Big Mama movies they are more for the kiddies IMO

  6. Me either…I mean I do love his plays and I think he’s talented and has come very far, but it’s time for some MORE black directors to dominate the scene as well!! What happened to John Singleton? Can we get a movie with some depth, some real suspense?? A REAL love movie like Love Jones or Love & Basketball??? A suspense like Bone Collector or Man on Fire?? Something that’s not of mockery or foolery?? Something that will be oscar worthy cause there were NO nominations for us really this year!!!

  7. I love Tyler Perry, but his movies are not classics to me. It just be too much I can’t put my finger on it? Like they too predictable, too dramatic… None of them I would watch over and over, or have a DVD collection of them. We need more classics like Lean on Me, Coming to America, Set It Off, Menace II Society, The Wood, Losing Isaih, etc.!!!

Coonery is “black face” Eddie Murphy, Martin Lawrence, Jamie Foxx, Tyler P., all comedians this is what they do make people laugh. They’ve all had their share of dramatic roles every movie does not have to be oober dramtatic Some people would like to laugh in these sad times.

    1. when will tyler perry stop this foolery his medea movies are not funny
      ____________________________________________

I don’t find his movies funny, but why would he stop? We may not think that his movies are funny, but millions of people beg to differ.
He’s found his audience and he sticks with what caters and appeals to that audience. Nothing wrong with that. He’s built his empire off of what caters to his audience, and that audience’s support allows for him to have the studio and private island, so again why would he stop? His movies don’t appeal to me. I honestly wouldn’t spend $1 via redbox to see one, but I respect the man’s craft. Anyone who went from being homeless to building an empire such as his gets my respect.

  11. I know it is suppose to be all kicks and giggles but it is kind of sad that this is what we are reduce too… there are too many stories to be told and to many great actors/actresses to be cast for sub par films this late in the game

    1. I don’t care much about men playing women for the simple fact that men have played women before women were allowed to play women . . . it’s not like white guys don’t do it. In both theatrical versions of Hairspray, the mother was played by a guy and she was HUGE. Yes there is a difference between a man playing a woman and a man playing a man playing a woman, but don’t act like its only black people doing it. You got Dustin Hoffman in the movie Tootsie, and Tom Hanks along with some other guy in Bosom Buddies – a show that ran for two seasons on a major network in the 80s. Just because we weren’t around to see it doesn’t mean it never happened. We just choose to now have a problem with it.
