“The Game Recap: “Whip It, Whip It Real Good”

Last night’s episode of BET’s “The Game” was right on time, when Jason Pitts (Coby Bell) quit his TV show to spend more quality time with his daughter, Brit Brat, who was spiraling out of control. Especially after finding weed in the young teens purse.

What a powerful message of responsibility and maturity the character displayed! Let’s hope it will alter the mindset of certain single fathers in our community who really need to grasp the message in last night’s episode.

Jason struggled to “right the wrong” that he’d done to his only daughter by placing his selfish needs above hers.

In last night’s episode, he threw out all of Brit Brat’s “skank girl” attire and left her with one pair of black jeans. Then told her “From now on, we are going to be joined at the hip”.

Last night’s episode 9 – of “The Game” sent a very powerful message “Fathers take your place”.

In real life, Bell and his wife, Aviss, 42, have 2 sets of twins — 3 girls and a boy.

  2. I forget about this show, but did watch last night. It took a second for me to remember they got a new Brit Brat. I was not liking her until my daughter said that Kelly left and she is acting like her mom. Made sense to me. Tasha was funny as heck, and glad Jason did not believe his daughter about the weed/which I though Kelly said she stole her “weave”. LOL.

      YES! I know a lot of ppl that smoke weed and black and milds but I don’t feel like it was necessary to include it on this show. If it was still on the CW you could best believe the writers would’ve never written that shit in.

        I think the difference is that we see more of her on the personal side now as opposed to seeing her as the business woman from the previous seasons.

        It’s like she has nothing else to do now and they don’t know what to do with her. They keep referencing how she has money but yet her living room is outside. She needs a real man to bring her down a notch. Terrance J…

  16. Last nights episode was so funny especially Tasha going crazy over her missing “stash” and at the end when she didn’t want to waste her switch and hit Malik was too hilarious. She was extra last night but it made me laugh and I really needed one.

    The part with Jason and BritBrat (who lived up to her name last night) was so good. It was another tender moment on the show especially when he quit his job. I see now why they got an older girl to play her because it would be inapprorpriate for a really young girl to be acting so bad like she has lately. His real life family is nice looking.

      I know she was “widdling” a gray stick for a switch to beat Brittany but never got a chance to use it so I thought at the end she told Malik she wasn’t going to waste it or something like that, LOL. It was funny either way though.

  17. I was kind of salty with Jason’s sexy ass in the beginning of the episode, but he made up for it in the end. I feel that your child has friends at school. Your job is to be a parent. There is certainly a way for you to be a parent AND have your child talk to you about anything…imo

    I actually was saying the same thing. I have problems with my son’s father and my son is now at a point and he’s gettin out of control but his father shows no interest. I really hope a lot of fathers were watching this last night to get a damn clue.

      Many women need to blame themselves for not wanting nor caring if the father was not nor did not participate in their childs rearing when young, then old girl wants to dump him off or wants the bio dad to step up to the plate when 9 times out of 10 it’s too late, they lost the bonding moment, the kid is too old, already messed up and will not listen to someone that was not around from the get go.

  21. In a PERFECT world, a father would be in a position to quit his job and stay at home when his child is out of control, but in the REAL world, when you make $40,000 per year, it ain’t feasible to sit at home and play “super deddy”.

    That’s some TV shit 4U!

    You stay at home and make sure your kids are on the straight and narrow and out of the streets in the REAL world and there’s a good chance that you’ll end up on the streets WITH them eventually, since not paying rent is good for about 2 months.

    Black men are damned if they do and damned if they don’t…let a black man say, “I’m staying home to care for my teenaged daughter.” – he’d get ripped a new asshole.

    The daughter’s out of control… he gets ripped a new asshole.

    Barely able to survive and keep your family afloat – you ain’t shit… get out there and stay on the move to make sure that your family is provided for and doesn’t have needs… you’re selfish and putting YOUR needs for a “career” above all else…

    Can’t walk the horse, can’t ride it. *shrugs*

    2. @Civil, I don’t think she’s saying you HAVE to QUIT your job but don’t let that job take precidence over the job of raising your child.

      His example is an extreme case but it’s not the ONLY way to create more time for your child.

      A lot of parents get caught up in everything else and children wind up raising themselves.

        At the end of the day, I don’t care WHAT you do, if a child decides that he or she don’t want to be shit, ain’t a damn thing you can do about it.

        I made my own decisions in this life, regardless of how hard my mama and daddy pushed, I did what I wanted to do. I have a brother who does drugs, but I have never had a single sip of alcohol, never did a drug and don’t even want cigarette smoke in my personal space.

        In certain cases you can blame the parent for a kids route in life, but oftentimes, they’re going to become who they want to become no matter how hard you fight it.

        If my baby goes out there and kills or rapes someone, it definitely won’t be because he wasn’t ARMED with the equipment to discern the difference between right and wrong – it will be because he simply decided that he didn’t want to be shit.

        If he starts using drugs, it won’t be my fault because he’s never been around drugs in MY presence.

  25. I definitely support the message behind last night’s episode (and always have). I will say though, the show has taken a decidedly sleazier turn since it began filming in ATL..case in point are, the new BritBrat and last weeks episode.
